Chapter 44 Exploring the powers

Rex was staggering while observing the powers that were emitting from those colorful balls called Meta-Nanites. Watching them in series was one thing but seeing the real deal was another. He could also tell that they were a lot different from the Meta-Nanites that appeared in animated series.

However, Meta-Nanites were 'discovered' by humans while these orbs in front of him, were granted by God. Also, Meta nanites in the series were designed to obey Rex Salazar while he has to go around and observe powerful quirks to make them reach full potential.

But something bloomed in him. He wanted to achieve that power… With this power, all of his problems could be solved… With this power, he can defeat all villains… With this power, he can rule the world!

"Argg! Stop it!" Rex shook his head to wake from his thoughts. He touched his left eye and realized that Alpha-Nanite was active. He knew that Alpha-Nanite in the series was a separate entity created by Caesar Salazar, Rex Salazar's brother. Alpha became corrosive and was seeking to merge with Omega-1 Nanite to become 'complete'.

What Rex has now was a whole different thing. It was not as big as it appeared in the series nor it has any consciousness yet it was still corrosive.

"No use to think much about it. I have to compress Alpha and control it." Rex said then crossed his legs and tried to observe the light which was emitting from Meta-Nanites.

After a few more minutes, he opened his eyes wide and then opened the screen again to read about Meta-Nanites again.

"Let's try this out!" He excitedly said then focused on his surroundings. First, he imagined a rectangular-shaped room around him. Slowly concrete walls started to form around him. He was happy with his success but he continued to make a concrete tight room with a window hole from where he could see Meta-Nanites floating.

"I see. I can make anything here but the problem is if I can take things from this space to outside reality." Rex muttered.

He closed his eyes again and opened them to see that he was in his room again. Time went the same as the real-world but Rex could control even time in his mind space.

"For now, I will call that 'reality marble'." Rex silently said. He didn't want to look chunni but he likes to name his moves and machines. He felt a little weak but it was nothing compared to the small cost of what he had achieved in his reality marble.

"Jarvis, what happened to me while I was in meditation?' Rex asked the AI.

[Sir, you disappeared from your position like you were never there and appeared like you were sitting this whole time. I apologize but that's how my sensors perceive your moments, sir.] Jarvis finished explaining.

"It means that it is a separate space where I was there in person rather than my consciousness." Rex has to make several experiments to confirm several things and for that he wanted a full day to analyze the situation.

He then stood up and took out a cell phone and connected it to a CPU. "Jarvis make a copy of yourself and install it in this device," Rex ordered and then opened a secret door which led him to another of his mini laboratory where he kept some of his papers and some animals for experiments.

He picked a white mouse then closed the door again. He looked at the device that Jarvis already stalled a mini copy of himself in a cellphone. "You also need an upgrade," Rex said. He still didn't forget when his connection to Jarvis' main body got severed in USJ.

[That's right sir. It has been 3 years since I was last updated.] Jarvis said normally but Rex felt that it was more of sarcasm.

"That much?! Seriously, time flow is bizarre here." Rex said then sat down on his bed again and placed a little mouse on his lap while holding the device in his hand.

[You just don't keep track of time, sir.] Jarvis spoke from the mini device.

"Shut up, Jarvis," Rex said and closed his eyes.

He opened his eyes and looked around. He found himself in the same room which he created. He took a deep breath and found that this place could also contain air.

"Jarvis, are you still there?" Rex said looking at the device.

[Yes sir. I am functioning well.] Jarvis said from the device.

Rex also saw that mouse was also alive and looking around the room curiously.

"Scan the surroundings and tell me if you find anything weird," Rex said showing Jarvis the concrete room.

[Scan complete. It appears normal room made from concrete but outside the window, my sensors are disrupting.]

The room he created was floating while he could see Meta-Nanites in the sky from outside the window. After thinking for a minute, he went from outside the window to the original space where he was also floating.

"Jarvis, can you hear me?" Rex said looking at the device's screen which was blinking.

[Error- System is rebooting- Error-] After several notifications, the screen died.

Rex looked at the mouse in his hand which was frozen like a rock. It was like time had stopped for the mouse. He severed the mouse's tail but there was no blood flow in it.

"Hmm, that room I made was for living things. I not only created a concrete room but also the concept of living as well." He muttered then used his Technopathy to fix the device again.

He then made a piece of land only with no walls and air as well. 'I think I can live here…' Rex thought but then the mouse on his hand started to move again. The tail he cut was also moving in his pocket. He took out the tailed and pinched a little. Mouse flinched when his severed tail was pinched!

"Wow, his body parts can function separately!" Rex was surprised that the mouse can still be alive if cut into pieces before he makes a concept of living around him.

[System is starting. The original system is taking control. Hello, sir. It seems like something happened to the device.] Jarvis said.

"Jarvis, can you see the orbs or take a picture?" Rex said showing Jarvis Meta-Nanites.

[No, sir. My observation is limited to only 4 meters.] Jarvis said.

He also didn't know how to perceive these nanites. He can't touch them. They have a similar size no matter how far he saw them. It was like he was seeing the sun or moon from the surface.

"I see. It means only I can see them. Still, it's a big success what I just achieved today." Rex said with a bright smile then added, "Hmm, let's try one last thing."

Rex then started to concentrate to make a simple iron ball in his hand. After making the ball he closed his eyes and then opened them. He was back in his room sitting on the bed.

"OH, MY- oh my god…" Rex realized that he was a little louder then said slowly looking at the iron ball that he made in reality marble.

"Not only that I can make anything there but can also bring it back to the original world. But… I am a little tired." Rex said with his heart beating a little faster.

"It was not because I spend time there and make things but the conversion of things from one reality to another," Rex said then woke from his thoughts when the mouse on his hand bite him.

"Oh shit!" Rex hurriedly wrapped the mouse in cloth since its back started to bleed and the poor thing was crying in pain. He put some antidotes on the mouse and then placed him back in his mini-lab.

"So the effect of law applies here normally…" Rex muttered then connected his device to CPU and asked, "Jarvis, tell me your view of what you fund."

[Scan and process have been completed. Sir, I was taken to a concrete room that looked normal but the observation was very limited. Then after the rebooting, I only heard your mumbling, which is not new, with a limited observation radius. After another disruption, I am in this room again only to hear your muttering again.] Jarvis said.

"Man, you are desperate for an upgrade. Just tell me to upgrade you." Rex said with a silly smile.

[YES! UPGRADE ME YOU LAZY ASS! Ahem, a slight error was incurred in the system. I apologize, sir. Please don't mind me.]

"Oi, that was on purpose, right?" Rex said with his lips twitching. It was already morning and cursed the timeline again. He thought that time is unfair. It flies too quickly.

He then glanced at the window and saw that Bisha was talking with Mika, Kyoka's mother in front of his house gate. He didn't think much and went down to eat breakfast. He didn't sleep nor eat anything yet he was feeling refreshed and overflowing with natural spiral energy. He didn't need to eat but smelling the sweet scent of fresh bread and tea, he didn't want to miss them.

He washed his face and walked down to the dining room. Ryoka was cooking while Relissa was working on a laptop. He patted her shoulders and sat down on a seat.

"It feels good to see blond hair beauties on sitting types of job," Rex said with a silly smile.

"Good morning, Rex-sama. I see you are in good mood." Relissa said with her lips twitching.

"Hm." Rex heard Ryoka. He knew that Ryoka was like Tokoyami, a cool loner-type chunni who even don't want to laugh properly.

Rex knew this pair of sisters for two years. They have powerful quirks with a good aura surrounding them. He didn't felt any kind of attractiveness from them despite them being cute and beautiful. Instead, he treated them like his elder sisters.

Ryoka placed breakfast on the table and stood on the side to wait for Bisha. Soon Bisha entered the house and after wiping her sweat and washing hands 'very properly', she also joined them on breakfast.

"So… when are you guys going to leave?" Rex asked but then felt a devastating aura from three ladies.

"It is not even a day about that accident and you want me to leave?!" Bisha said as her eyes turned wild.

"N-no it's not like that! J-just asking…" Rex said with a wry smile.

"Sigh* after two more days but Ryoka will be staying here." Bisha sighed and said.

"What!? I mean why?" Rex was confused.

"I heard from a neighbor that you don't eat, sleep, or train properly. Not to mention that Emiya guy was after you. I can't leave you alone anymore." Bisha said with cold glares.

"But I can protect myself. Isn't that why you trained me like this? Besides, it is clear that he won't be coming for my head from the way he spared my life." Rex said.

"I am so sorry, Rex-sama if I am being a bother," Ryoka spoke to Rex.

"Sigh* It's not like that…" Rex said feeling a little bad.

"She is going to stay here to keep tabs on your routine whether you like it or not, or you want me to shift here?" Bisha said raising a brow.

"Ryoka-chan is best!" Rex said holding the maid's hand.

"You can do whatever you want in your free time since I knew you will try to sneak out the moment I am gone. Don't just get into trouble, okay?" Bisha said with a little shaky voice.

Rex knew that no matter how strong Bisha seems to appear on the surface, she was still a kind-hearted mother from inside. She just witnessed her son on verge of death yesterday yet she can't run off from her duties. She knew that Rex wants to spend time alone to achieve his dream but she can't leave him alone anymore.

"It's okay mom. I understand." Rex gently held Bisha's hand and said. Both of them smiled then started to discuss their favorite Spanish dramas.

There will be 4 new fate characters i am going to introduce in my story in later chapters before the start of tournament so if you still have problem with OCs in fanfic, please drop it right here and don't come complaining later.
