13 Chapter 13 Villains

"Mom, where are we going?" Rex asked looking outside of the car.

"A little shopping," Bisha said driving the car.

"What is the actual reason?" Rex asked with a deadpan face.

"What actual reason? It has been 2 years and all you do is study or train. We agreed to give you a home education but it doesn't mean that you become a loner. Cant a mother spends a little time with her cute son?"

"…"

"Fine, there is a little test for you," Bisha said with a sigh. She can't help but wonder about Rex's level of perception.

"At this point, I can tell if something is wrong with just a guess. What this call again, 'Battle Intuition'?" Rex said with a chuckle.

Bisha was embarrassed hearing this. She called her alert senses 'Battle Intuition'. Now that she was a civilian, Rex and Yato used to tease the saying names of her moves. It had been 2 years since Rex gained consciousness. In this period, he was able to acquire rare abilities but he still couldn't build Slam Cannon, Boogie Pack, or Rex Ride. Not to mention that Omega-01 Nanite was still a mystery to him.

During the spar, his builds broke many times for which he has to consume a large amount of food just to make his builds again. However, it never stopped him to stop training.

Bisha then stopped the car near a shop for groceries.

"Why this area smells so foul?" Rex said covering his nose.

Bisha smiled looking at her son. She also had an additional perk that could detect the nature of aura. She could tell if a person is good or evil, what type of crimes he did, if he is a murderer, ra*ist or children abuser.

In Rex's case, he could 'smell' aura. Since he was inexperienced, his control over his senses was limited.

"Rex, I want you to go to that shop and buy some groceries 'only'," Bisha said giving Rex the list.

Rex sighed, took the piece of paper, and went out of the car. He walked to the shop when the shopkeeper greeted him. He could tell that she was new or inexperienced since she was young.

Rex just picked all the items which were written on the list and went to the cashier.

"You bitch, stop looking and start taking out all the cash!"

Rex was halfway when he saw some 'villains' entered the shop and start screaming. One was like a blue lizard while the other was looking like a bald villain with eggs hanging on his throat.

"Please don't hurt me!" Girl screamed. Other workers saw this and raw away in the storage. However before she could move towards the cashier, the lizard villain hanged her hands holding her hands.

"Do you take us for fool? Let you call the heroes huh. Did you take us for fools?" Lizard villain roared on her face.

"Boss, why don't we have some fun with her till those heroes come?" Bald villain said taking all the cash from the cashier.

"Oh, that we will do." Lizard villain licked his wide mouth as his hand approach the breast of the girl. The girl was terrified and closed her eyes ready to meet her fate.

Ring*

All of them woke up from their thoughts when they saw a boy around 9 years old with purple eyes and long messy hair, with deadpan eyes looking at the cashier girl and holding a large basket.

"Ano… villain-san, can you let her go so she could charge money from these items?" Rex said.

'I get what mom is thinking. She just wanted to see how I deal with this situation. Also, I wanted to test my powers. They will be good for punching bags.'

"Boy, you have some balls coming straight towards us. Are you courting death?!" Bald villain said and smacked the basked Rex bought.

"Sigh* Wuxia comics lines, seriously? Are villains use these shitty references regularly?" Rex said with a sigh.

"Wh- no. this is not from Against the Gods. These lines are original. I swear!" Bald villain said embarrassingly.

"I didn't say it is from that ra*ping comic. Guess I have to report those authors now that even villains are using them as reference." Rex said.

"How dare you Ahh!"

The bald villain was about to say something when he was smacked on his head.

"What the hell you are doing? Take his money and kill him!" Lizard villain said smacking his partner.

Bald villain nodded as he approached Rex.

"This is self-defense, okay?"

"Wha.."

His words stopped when Rex suddenly jumped high. Transforming one leg into Punk Buster, Rex spin and kicked the bald villain on his face.

*Bam*

Bald villain flew a few meters away and crashed to vending machines with his face crushed and bleeding.

"You fucker!!" Lizard villain roared and leaped towards Rex.

Rex smirked as he formed his hand into Smack Hand and punched the lizard villain.

*Bam*

Lizard villain also flew and crashed on the cashier table with crosses on his eyes.

Rex looked at the girl who was still in a daze when everything happened in seconds. She couldn't believe that a boy of 8 to 9 years old dealt with two villains within seconds.

"Miss, you should call those trainers to catch these Pokémon," Rex said with a chuckle but he found the girl looking confused. "Call heroes, missy." He still can't believe that girl didn't take this pun.

"Y-yes!" She hurriedly nodded and before her hands approach the emergency button, Rex held her hand.

"This is for self-defense, okay?" Rex asked with dead serious eyes and the girl hurriedly nodded.

After that, police and heroes came and took the villains into custody. Police and heroes scolded Rex for using his quirk and put himself in danger.

"Rex boy, I know it is hard but try not to use quirk and wait for heroes to come." Hero said but then he felt a chill ran down his spine and what he saw was horror. He felt his throat dry and found it hard to breathe. When he saw Rex, he was looking at him with dead eyes.

"Thank you hero-san for advice. I will be careful." Rex said politely.

The hero woke up from a stupor when Rex said this politely and went out with a bag of groceries. 'What the hell was that?!' Hero wiped his forehead and went out on her hero duties. He didn't know what happened within those 3 seconds but he felt fear like never before.

Rex also came with groceries and entered the car away from the shop.

Bisha didn't ask anything and started the car.

Rex also didn't say anything and just looked outside of the car window.

'What he said was true. If I saw a child deal with a villain, I will say the same but… does that mean I should stand there and do nothing? My emotions also went out of control there for a second. I have to control them.'

Rex thought. He had mastered to make his Builds but according to Bisha, he was slow. Also, his emotions were still unstable. Bisha had the same problem when she couldn't control her rage and went berserk.

He looked at Bisha once again and asked, "Mom, I have a request."

"What is it, sweetie?"

"Can you train me to be stronger like you?" Rex said.

"Why? I am already training you where you can defend yourself just fine. Why do you want to be stronger like me?"

"I want to protect you. I want to protect pops and Nii-sama too. I want to protect my family. For this, I have to make the environment safer and for which, I need to become strongest." Rex said.

Bisha stopped the car and looked at Rex. "Look Rex, I am glad that you want to protect us but remember, a human is human even with these powers called quirks. Whatever you do, things won't just go as you planned. Not everything could be solved by strength alone. I want a better resolve to train you to become the strongest."

Rex sighed then looked at Bisha with determined eyes. "Mom, I want to become a hero. Not by just profession but as a person who really thinks about the people around him. So please train me to become strongest." Rex said with a bow.

Bisha smiled then kissed Rex's cheek. "Then from now on, I will train you. be ready because my real training regime will crush you. it will tear your flesh apart. Believe me, it will be hell for you. Are you ready, Rex Kinzoku?"

"Yes, mam!" Rex saluted.

Bisha smiled then looked outside and asked Rex, "Want to eat ice cream?"

"Noice!"
