2 Chapter 2

" Gasp!"

A young adolescent opened his eyes in shock. Gasping and out of breath, he sat up quickly.

" What the-?!" The young man's head whips around to scan the room he's in, in search of someone. " Scar...! Scarlet?!"

He throws off his blanket and runs up to the window near him, by his left side. He slams it opens to survey his surroundings.

A place he's never been to before. Completely unfamiliar. And without her presence.

He needed to be next her. His job is to protect her.

" I need to find her, I need to find her! Damn it! Where am I?"

He grips his head, that thundered in pain, as he headed towards the door.

He exits his room stumbling. As his eyesight gradually got blurry, he found his way through the house he was in.

But before he could unlock the front door, he felt his body tilt back.

" Izo!" A middle aged man ran to catch the young man.

" *Let go! I need to find her!*(in English)" He pushes the older man away and struggled to get up again.

" What? What're you saying, son? Where are you trying to go?! You need rest right now!(in Japanese)"

The man hurls the young man on to his shoulder and marches back to the bedroom the young man ran out from.

" No, damn it! Let me go! Why is this body so weak?! Fuck!" The boy weakly punches the back of the older man in anger before finally fainting.

The last thing he mutters is her name.

" Scar..."

" Gasp!"

Similar to the young man, this young lady woke up gasping, unable to breathe for a minute. She felt choked as a pressure forced her into a vassal.

Once her breathing settled down, she sat up. She observed her surroundings calmly. A twin size bed, lavender colored walls, minimally designed with just a desk, chair, bed and a small walk in closet. Bland and newly moved into appearance.

She paused near a full body mirror placed on the back of the door. This wasn't her, she became someone else. Her hair was neck length with long bangs framing her face, and weirdly enough it was colored was dark purple, it looked natural though. Her eyes were also an unnatural color, dark gold.

Her current facial features were similar to her original body, thick and neat eyebrows curved at the ends, narrow and high elegant nose with pink full lips above a thin chin. She didn't look fully Japanese, more like mixed with some European. She was shorter now, reaching five foot and five inches. Her current body was on the curvy thick side, unlike her tall, slim, and flat chested pervious body. She stared down at her current assets, quite pleased.

Done checking herself out, she heads to the large window near her desk and opens it. She leans outside, feeling the gentle cool breeze.

There were shops on the street across from her position.

" Asian writing? Japanese? I'm in Japan...?" She tilts her head as she continues to observe the store signs and the people passing by.

She walks up to the door, pausing for a minute to listen to any noise beyond the door. She opens her door quietly, and peeks her head out. Deeming the coast clear, she steps out cautiously.

No one else was here. Once she confirmed that, she confidently struts to the kitchen. She yanks the fridge door open and grabs a bottle of water. She gulps the whole thing down in seconds. The cold water cooled down her overheated body. She felt feverish for some reason, maybe her soul was still adopting to her new body, she mused internally.

She heads back to the bedroom she was in and rummages around. She finds a flip phone, a wallet, a few clothing articles including a school uniform, a school bag, and an application form.

To U.A. High school.

She paused for a moment, confused. Was that promise really, real? That person kept their word.

" So I really did end up in this world." Not a bad world to end up in, just a few villains running around. There's no giant creatures impossible to kill, nor an apocalyptic setting. Not to mention, the presence of superpowers in this world.

She hummed, pleased, as she went through the things she found. Her wallet held multiple credit cards, indicating the original owner of her body was from a rich family. And an ID was in there; Akan Yurin, is her new name.

The phone held no information, seeming recently purchased. Only two contacts were in there, 'Mother' and 'Secretary Kayama', which the most recent messages from both of them being the same. Though said differently, their ultimate message was, 'Fail the UA entrance exam and the Akan family will disown you.'

She sighs laying down on the bed to think of what to do. An hour in, as she went through the phone she muttered to herself.

" ...Is he here too? He should be..."

On her days off days, he forced her to rest as she liked to work without ever stopping for a break. In her forced free days, she would pass time watching the anime and other shows her secretary introduced her to and random novels she would find online.

She closed her eyes, tired and in need of tranquility.

But she was interrupted by voices in her head.

" Agh!" She shuts her eyes that started tearing up. She gripped her head in pain as voices bombarded her mind.

' Morning, mister-'

' Mom, I'm hungry-'

' -let's go!'

' Hey! We're gonna be late!'

' Remember what she did yesterday-'

' Oh seriously-'

Voices, of all ages and genders start talking all at once, overlapping.

" Ack! St-stop! Ugh!"

She curled up hugging herself, trying to wait out the pain. It'll pass. It always has and always will.

But... it was easier with him by her side... Theo...

' -ar...! Scar! Scarlet!!!'

The other voices all disappear as one rose to the top.

" Theo, Theo, where are you?!" She groans, eyes still squeezed shut in pain.

' Scar! Where are you? I tried to find you but I fainted. How about you, are you okay? Where are you?!' Theo's voice echoed in her mind.

She flinched. ' Lower your voice, you're giving me a headache.'

' And I don't know where we are exactly, but I know we're definitely not on our earth.'
