44 Chapter 28
Toya jumped back as the Pyronite threw fireballs at him, while it was easy to counter it with his own blue flames. Doing so would cook him inside out.
The temperature of the cave was unbearable, to begin with, and his blue flames which were hotter than normal flames would add fuel to it. He needed to take down the Pyronite without using his flames or using them less as possible.
Toya gained some distance before drinking some water. It was useful that the water bottles would give him chilled water and refill automatically, never in his life did he feel money that well spent. But he couldn't even take a few gulps of water before the Pyronite charged.
It used its flames from its arms and feet to launch itself as a bullet towards the blue flame user.
Toya quickly stored the water bottle in his inventory before using his chance to blow off a large wave of blue flames towards the Pyronite.
But rather than taking damage, the Pyronite got excited seeing the blue flames as it started to shine bright yellow. It was trying to absorb the blue flames into itself.
Toya felt a spark of danger, and he quickly propelled himself to gain some distance. But at that exact moment, the Pyronite screamed as it detonated.
"Shit…"
Toya was blown back due to the sudden explosion. His body rolling along the hard rocky surface, but he quickly stopped himself from touching the cracks of lave. There were minor burns on his skin, and some of his clothes got burned, but other than that he was uninjured.

When he got up, he didn't see the Pyronite anymore. But the aftermath of the large explosion. The only reason Toya was unharmed was due to his quick reaction. But then…
Several shouts came from deep within the cave as five Pyronites came flying towards Toya's location. Their target was the unknown enemy that came to their territory.
Some of them were flying like bullets, while others used molten rocks as a hoverboard to fly towards his location.
"What the… they are using fire-freaking hoverboards." Toya burled out, "This is going to be messy."
Toya readied himself as he drank one bottle of water while splashing another bottle on his skin, it cooled him off just a little before the water evaporated right off his skin. He needed it, looking at his status he could see a digital bar on his Heat resistance skill.
Even he felt the changes that happened to his body. If he could evolve his Heat resistance skill to an ability, he would be able to use more strong flames and let loose.
But seeing multiple Pyronites he hoped that his Heat resistance would level up soon. Or he would be toast.
'No, burnt toast, to be exact.' The system corrected, as if it was a matter of fact.
"Nobody asked you," Toya grumbled as he used a jet stream of blue flames against the two Pyronites that came near him. Toya jumped back when several fireballs were thrown at him by the other three.
Toya could see the first two Pyronites being brighter than the rest. If his theory was right, he needed to make them explode. So rather than focusing on all five, he only attacked the two as they got brighter and brighter.
The first one exploded, but this time Toya got behind a large bolder to cover himself. But the second one exploded like a chain reaction, throwing him away, blowing his cover, literally.

Though it hurt like hell, once he leveled up, the injurious and the fatigue on his body were removed. He felt light and strong.
He would have celebrated it if not for the last three angry lava golems that were up his ass.
Almost ten minutes passed before Toya could catch his breath. The last three gave him much more difficulty than he expected. Not only did they avoid his blue flames, but they also kept their distance shooting fireballs at him. It was like a rain of fire.
Even Toya couldn't believe that he survived. But seeing the Exps he smiled, he couldn't complain.

Toya took out one of the water bottles as he quickly gulped it down. From the mini-map, he could see that no new Pyronites were coming, but he still wanted to be careful.
Toya sat on the ashy floor, as he rested a bit. Just being inside the dungeon gave him 1% fire resistance every five minutes. He was almost 50% in his Heat Resistance skill. If he used on of his points he could easily level up his Heat Resistance.
But he didn't. Even though it was tough, he wanted to save as many points as possible. He didn't need to points for buying stuff, he would need money for that.
But he saved points for later, when he might need them in an emergency.
And somehow his Appraisal skill leveled up again. It could now show the weakness of low-ranked creatures. That would be useful later. He wasn't stupid enough to clear the dungeon on his first try, but he needed to push himself.
For now, Toya got up. The dungeon was big, Toya could see the outline from the minimap. Its size was equal to a small island. He needed to get strong, and even though this was hard. It was the best way.
