11 Passing down the Torch

Months later, I'm at home eating dinner with my mom and tonight is the day I inherit One for All. It's been almost 10 months since my training got turned up.

Sigh….. That day, I had hoped Chisa neechan would save me. Unfortunately… she just grinned and mentioned that she would whip a new diet for me to follow.

It's been crazy this last few months, I've learned so much from Kaito Sensei. He told me I'm approaching a black belt's proficiency with my techniques, which is very good for my age.

Another thing that happened, is that I hit puberty early and I'm already 5 foot 4 inches tall (~162 cm), which isn't too much shorter than I was when I received One For All the first time.

I also bulked up more muscle mass, but due to careful training it didn't affect my mobility too much. It makes me wonder how much of One For All I can use now.

"Izuku…." my mom calls out to me and I look up to see her worried. "Are you alright, honey?"

"Yeah mom I was just thinking about something...." I look over at my mom once more glad to see that she is as healthy and fit as she was when I was a kid.

"What's that honey, was it about your training? I know that you've been busy with training this last year."

"Yeah actually, mom... My Quirk has manifested" I said ready to reveal a bit about One For All to my mom.

"What?! But the doctor said you would never have a Quirk!" she yelled out as she dropped her chopsticks.

"It's true, but I can't show you here. It's very powerful and it manifested last year, which is why I've been busy."

"Why didn't you tell me honey?" she asked a little hurt.

"I wanted to give you a surprise mom, and I wanted to give you a reason to relax. Honestly the Quirk is too strong for my body and that's why Kaito Sensei had me go through some muscle building exercises."

"I see… what do you mean too strong?"

"Well…." I start feeling uncomfortable knowing exactly how she'll react "I went to punch Sensei during our training and he deflected my punch, but what happened next shocked both of us."

"What happened tell me Izuku" she pleaded

"Well, he broke his wrist deflecting my punch, because there was a lot of force behind that punch. There was so much that a wind kicked up into the sky causing some rain to appear. In addition my entire arm was covered with bruises."

"How come I didn't notice anything, when you came home?" she asks skeptically.

"Well…. Chisa neechan has a healing Quirk so…. She healed me."

"I see so… the body building?" she asked.

"Was to allow me to use my power without my body breaking."

"I see just…. Be careful honey."

"I will mom."

I finish eating my food and say "Mom, I'm going to head off to Sensei's place."

"Alright honey, don't stay out too late."

"I won't I'll be back early tonight mom" I say as I head out the door and start running towards my future.

I reach the Aizawa estate and head directly to the dojo. When I open the door I find All Might, Kaito Sensei and an old short lady.

Isn't that Recovery Girl…. "Hey All Might isn't that Recover Girl?" I Ask.

"That's right sonny, I've come to make sure these two don't get you killed" She answers in his place.

"Alright, now we should move on to the main event…" Kaito Sensei mentions.

All Might plucks a hair out of his hair and says"Izuku you are more than worthy to inherit my Quirk, here eat this" extending his hand.

"Isn't there a better way All Might?" Kaito Sensei asks.

"There isn't kaito Sensei, unfortunately this is the only way" I answer in his place.

"Like Izuku said, it is. Here you go Izuku" he hands me the hair.

I gulp down the hair and feel a small ache in my stomach and rub it a bit to calm it down.

"All Might how long do we have until he can use your power?" Kaito Sensei asks.

"Hmmm… two hours I'd say."

"Alright Izuku, let's get some training in."

An hour later we start sparing and then he yells "Stop Izuku!"

I'm not sure what happened, but Sensei is using his Quirk on me…. Did One For All activate already? "What's wrong?" I ask.

"Izuku, your arm lit up with red markings. All Might I thought you said it was supposed to be 2 hours."

"Yes that's how long it normally takes, let's head to your proving ground" All Might says as he starts to transform and picks us up.

"Wait All Might you aren't going to…" Recovery Girl starts saying.

"Don't worry, It's not to far. Plus you'll have the best seat" he says as he shifts us around to hold two of us with one arm on his shoulder. All the while picking up recovery girl in a one armed bridal carry.

"Alright everyone ready? let's get going" he says while jumping off towards the beach.

I remember the last time I was flying high up above these buildings. I was so scared back then. I won't say I will never be afraid again, but I won't let anything stop me.

Moments later All Might touches down on the street in front of the beach. He set us down carefully one by one.

"Well that was a treat All Might, but next time let's just walk" Recovery Girl says while sitting down.

"I agree" Kaito Sensei says doing the same.

"All right, Izuku. Go ahead, clench your buttcheeks and yell smash as loud as you can."

"I kinda want to try control first, I did it before" I say not looking forward to breaking my bones.

"Even if you had control of One For All before, it won't give you control until you use it full power at least once." then he leans in close and whispers "Besides I bet your body feels a lot different than when you had it last time right?"

"You're right, but…. I…. er… Fine!" I run out onto the beach and make sure no one is around.

I take All Might's advice, but keep my training in mind while preparing a punch.

"SMASH!!!!!!!" I yell out as I unleash a punch that causes a thunderous gale to blast out from my arm.

Kaito sensei whistles a bit and says"Damn, that sure is impressive" before he looks down at my arm "but I can see why we needed to get his body ready."

The shot of adrenaline in my body fades away as a lot of pain encompasses my entire arm and I scream out. My arm is completely shattered and dangly to the side.

"Well that's my cue" Recovery Girl walks over to me "give me some sugar" she says as her mouth extends to kiss my head.

My arm starts to glow in a greenish silver light and it starts to rapidly heal, much faster than Recovery Girl was thinking it would. "Thanks Recovery Girl" I say gratefully.

"No problem sonny, although the healing wasn't supposed to be that quick. How do you feel?" she asked worried about me.

"Hmm a little hungry, wait… aren't I supposed to be sleepy?"

"That's right, All Might your successor is weird."

"Don't I know it. it might be his own Quirk manifesting new abilities" he says causing me to be a bit ashamed.

"Quirk? I thought he was Quirk-less?"

"He has a Quirk, but it's really odd. I would say the secret he holds is more important than even that of One For All."

"Alright I won't pry. I'll be here if you need me, but please try not to break your bones too much."

"Don't worry, I think I can handle some of it now."

"Alright give it a go then" they yell.

"Alright let's try Full Cowling" I say as I try to spread the power through my entire body. As the power courses through my body, red markings start to show through my body.

Once they reach all the way to my head they all disappear as green lightning sparks around my body. "Yes I did it!" I yell out with excitement.

"Way to go Izuku" says All Might before he pauses for a bit and asks "how much can you use?"

"From what I remember?" I pause and think a bit tapping my chin "I'd say 8% but your right I'm not used to using it. Give me a couple weeks and that'll easily go up to 15%."

"You sound really confident Izuku"

"Well I remember how strong my body was before and it's not half as good as what mine is now. All I need is time."

"All right Izuku." All Might turns to Recovery Girl and says "Recovery Girl let's get you back to U.A."

"Yes, yes. Izuku, I won't tell you not to get injured. Just, don't be reckless" she lectures.

"Yes mam!" I yell out and stand up straight.

All Might takes Recovery Girl in a bridal carry and leaps away.

"Izuku we should head home as well. I'll walk you home."

"Alright Sensei."

We walk until we get to my apartment and sensei stops me and says "Izuku, we will start training this Quirk as well. It will either be with All Might watching over your training or with some of his recommendations."

"Yep, I look forward to it."

"Alright, goodnight." he says as he turns and leaves.

"Goodnight Sensei!" I yell back and see him wave back in response.

I head inside and study for a while before going to bed.
