9 Chapter 8

I tried to open my eyes the next morning but a bright light was stopping me from doing so. At first, I thought that it was Mingyu so I lazily reached out in front of me just to be sure but I felt nothing. I turned to and faced my right because then I would be facing my wall to block out the light but it didn't work, the light was still shining perfectly the same, "Hyung, stoppp! It's not funny!" I whined lazily in hopes that he would stop but the light was still the same. I then tried to cover my head with my blanket but there was nothing, I then noticed that I wasn't even on my bed, let alone my room.

After a bit, my eyes began to adjust to where ever I was so I could then finally get rid of the light. But when I opened my eyes I wasn't even in my house let alone Earth, I was surrounded by plain blue sky and when I looked down I was on what I presumed were clouds… I was back in my dream world but this time I was in front of my grandma.

"Hello, Jiwon, welcome back," she said to me in her usual warm voice and soft smile, "hi granny, how are you?" I replied back to her as if she was totally not dead "oh just fine, since that I'm dead all of my illnesses are gone and I feel like I'm 20 again" she said with her smile staying on her old face.

There was a moment of silence but it lasted not long when she broke it "I'm so proud of you, Jiwon, you're finally making friends!" she said to me, she looked so proud of me, it made me happy. "thank you, Granny" I replied back to her "your life is going to get better, little by little, before you know it" Granny said to me.

I thought that she was going to say another thing but she didn't, instead, I saw the same shadow like last time but there was another shadow too except the second one was a lot shorter than the first one and it had a different silhouette.

I didn't turn around this time because I knew that if I did, I would wake up, so I just stood there and tried to make out the second shadow until I was ready to turn around, 'the second one was much shorter, its wings were smaller but not too small and it didn't look like it had a hat one but instead a… halo? What the hell?'. Once I was ready I turned around as fast as I could to see was the second one looked like and this time I got to see more of both. And then the bright light came back, and I was once again brought back to my room.

I quickly jumped out of bed and ran to my desk and got out one of the unused empty notebooks that Granny had given me once.

*FLASHBACK*

"Granny, what's all of this for?" I asked her unsure as to why she would give me a bunch of empty notebooks out of nowhere as I looked at them and then to her. "You see, Jiwon Dear, I am giving you these notebooks for you to fill them up with knowledge and creativity," Granny said as she placed all 10 of the different coloured notebooks on my lap. "But why?" I asked once again still confused, "take a look, dear, you see how this notebook is blank and empty?" she asked me as she picked up the one on top and skimmed through all of the empty pages, "yes, Granny" I said as I nodded "now, a notebook is like a photo album. You full up the album with good memories and always look back on them. Now I want you to fill all of these notebooks up with all of your creativity, so you can always look back on these books and feel happy knowing that you fill it up. Can you do that of me, Jiwon?" "yes, Granny, of course"

*end of flashback*

I looked at my clock and saw that I had woken up about two hours earlier than usual so I quickly got showered and dressed and went back to my desk, and wrote down little dot points:

1st thing

. large black angel wings

. large black witch looking hat

. tall

.blonde hair

.dead pale skin

. human-like features

2nd thing

. smaller white angel wings

.halo

.shorter than the 1st one

. baby pinkish hair

.gold and white outfit

.dead pale skin

.human-like features

'Ok, so this is what I have now, that's a start I guess, but still no face!' "what 'still no face', Jiwon?" a screamed and jumped out of my seat and fell on the floor when I heard that, I turned around and saw Mingyu leaning on my door, staring at me, "you scared the hell out of me Hyung!" I shouted while clenching my heart dramatically, Mingyu merely just chuckled at my reaction and said "hehe, sorry. Why are you up so early?".

It took me a while to calm down and once I did I replied "I was just writing some things down. Why are you up so early, Hyung?" Mingyu looked at me and said "I always get up at this time, Jiwon, I came down here because I could see your light shining from underneath your door" as he pointed to my desk lamp with his left thumb "and by the way, what were you writing down that had to be SO important that you woke up 3 HOURS before your alarm goes off?" Mingyu asked me empathizing on the words 'so' and 'hours'.

"Wait, 3 hours? I thought it was 2 hours, not 3" I said confused as I looked at my clock once more. Mingyu then followed my eyes and looked at my clock as well "oh, yeah! I forgot to tell you, yesterday when you were at school your clock's batteries died so I changed in some new ones" Mingyu informed me "oh…" I mumbled to myself "so what were you writing?" Mingyu asked me, "oh, I was copying down some notes from Geography yesterday" I lied, it always killed me whenever I lied to Mingyu but I didn't want to tell him just yet, thankfully my Geography textbook was still on my desk so then it would seem like I was telling the truth, "oh, ok then, see yah, Jiwon" Mingyu said as he finally left my room and closed the door.

I waited for a bit as I heard the sound his footsteps slowly fade away as he walked away from my room and I decided to just went and got the rest of my stuff ready for school and continued copying down the notes for Geography, for REAL this time and then worked on the assignment for history that Kikyung and I have to do until it was time for me to go down to the kitchen.
