Clash of Beasts

After receiving their orders, the elite squad quickly made their way to the surface after gearing up. They were still dressed as maids but of those geared for battle, and they donned plain-looking white masks to hide their identities as they entered the fray. The destruction that had devastated the capital was hard to look at but having been trained for such things, they did not let it deter them.

Rani got straight to work and began summoning her spirit beast– The noble fire spirit known as the Phoenix. "Chirpy, come out!" She said.

Heeding its mastered command, the great fire spirit began manifesting at the call of her spell. Embers flickered and danced, and an egg of white flame began to take shape. Its shell cracked and crumbled as something struggled to break free. A massive crimson bird soon escaped its confines and spread its wings with a mighty cry.
