9 I OFFER YOU MY EYE

"I am Axis, the goddess of balance and status, I have summoned you here using all the power that I saved for 3000 years, to ask for your help," she said with her eyes still closed.

"uh-huh-" I said as I was still trying to comprehend, the goddess used up 3000 years' worth of power, to just summon me, and now she wants my help.

"Indeed, as disgraceful as it is, we the older gods would like to ask, no- we would like to beg you for help," she said while bowing her head.

"Alright, tell me what you need help with. Although I can't make any promises."

"very well," she said as she nodded

"hey, can you start a tad bit before the part where the dude named all-father beats your ass?"

"certainly, as you might be aware, we the 7 old gods used to be the main gods of this world. But after managing this world for more than a million years, we believed we had seen everything the world had to offer so we grew arrogant and lazy and stopped checking on the world, we performed the bare minimum of our duties which were required to keep the world core running. but during our negligence, a human kept gaining power, he killed every being he saw, he lengthened his life span with inhumane magic, sacrificing even millions of lives just to extend his. once he had reached, what he believed to be the peak of this world, he challenged us gods for our position.

A battle that lasted for a thousand years. Finally, after he heavily injured 3 gods, were we able to kill him.

From then on, we started restricting the level of mana present in the world, we started to degrade the world so that a person like him never comes back again.

But after twenty thousand years, or five thousand years ago, he returned. we have no idea how he returned but all we knew was that he was not human anymore, he was filled to the brim with corrupt energy, the exact opposite of divine energy which flows through us gods.

We fought him with all we had but, we lost after which he chained us in the deepest level of the HELL DUNGEON.

Once he had defeated us, he had no opposition in the mortal plane, although we believe that right now he isn't in this world, he comes back time to time to drain our divinity.

You have anywhere between 5 years to 1000 years, we want you to get stronger during that time and free us because when he returns he will probably view you as a threat too.

And to show our sincerity to you, we want to offer you everything we can. We have no idea, how or where you came from, but you are our only hope and this world's too."

This was gonna be a tough decision, after all, a lot of things didn't add up, like if that god who there me in this world talked to the gods of this world before sending me into this world, and if it weren't these guys, then did he talk to that guy which has chained them in?

Although this could be a trap, it would certainly be better to take these guys' side and use their resources to grow stronger, rather than waiting for that guy to come and possibly kill me.

"fine then- I'll help you guys out." I wasn't keen on helping them jailbreak, but I did indeed need to get stronger in order to get back to my own world. The support of 7 gods, didn't seem like a bad idea.

She nodded and finally opened her eyes.

Her eyes were mesmerizing as they cycled through all colors of the rainbow, but there was a weird thing about them. her eyes seemed to be made of glass, they didn't have any iris or pupil, nor did her eyes have that white sclera, just a glass-like surface.

When she was only a foot away from me, she slowly raised her hand and gouged her left eyeball from her eye socket.

Surprisingly, no blood nor any nerves or connections to her brain came out, just a glass ball, which now seemed completely transparent.

"I offer you my all-seeing eye," she said as she held out her left eyeball in her hands.

It would definitely be gross if it was a normal eyeball but that glass eyeball definitely made things easier.

"if you accept, I shall place this in you," she said without any hesitation

'PLACE THIS IN ME!?' that sounds wrong on so many levels!? what do you think it is? some candy which you can just chug down my mouth, it's a goddamn eyeball!

"calm down, you will only feel slight pressure-" she said in a calm voice.

'yea like hell! that's what my dentist said when he was drilling a hole in my molar! and it wasn't just slight pressure I felt, it felt like someone was chopping my jaw! and stop reading my mind!' i thought to myself.

"I apologize, but it's a perk of my eyes, it will certainly play an important role if you wish to get stronger."

'indeed I need to get stronger, strong enough to beat gods.'

"what will I get through that eye?" I asked.

"it can show you people's statuses, the flow of energy, illusions, weak points, you can read minds and much more, but it will take time since everything requires divine energy to operate."
