17 Initiation!

Outside the Black Bulls Base

The new members of the Black Bulls could be seen outside taking the 'initiation' and a man with a Mohawk is on the ground looking like he just ran across the entire world and back without stopping.

This is how it started.

Finral started introducing us to the members of the Black Bull squad.

I mean I already knew it but what a weird squad.

To make a summary of all of the people here,

A drunk.

A foodie.

A... guy that breathes smoke.

A kid that always wants to fight.

A quiet, dead silent guy.

And finally, a person whose personality is the same as his magic.

Also, I forgot. Finral.

Well, the real final one was the Magic Knight captain, Yami. I'm not even going to say anything about him.

To add a kid with no magic, a real god from another world, and a demon from another world too. Black Bulls are indeed a weird squad.

"Anyways, put them to work. Just don't kill them." Yami said nonchalantly.

"..."

"..."

"Did you hear that," The new member's ears perked up at the sound of, "Mister Yami said to put you to work. I'll gladly put you to work."

Then Magna started to spit out all tons of words and things about being Yami's right-hand man and initiation which I didn't think existed.

He took us outside and then began our initiation. I knew I didn't have to do this but I thought it would be fun.

Maybe.

"Let's start this thing!" Magna yelled at the top of his lungs, "First show me how much guts and stamina you all have! Five thousand sit-ups!"

What? That's it? Killian gives me way worse.

Asta went down first and started doing his sit-ups. Seeing Asta doing sit-ups so eagerly gave Yato motivation to do it too despite the work.

I sighed and went down to start doing my sit-ups.

"Let's go!" Manga yelled in motivation.

Time passes and now we were done with our sit-ups and push-ups.

Now we have to carry a huge boulder.

Lifting it up with ease, I put it down and now it was Yato's turn.

"Wow! It didn't even look like you struggled at all!" Asta yelled in excitement.

It wasn't a problem for Yato to hold up a boulder as he was still a god, but he wasn't able to hold it as easily as Baal. (I am not sure how physically strong Yato is but here, he is decent.)

Of course, Asta didn't lift it up as easily as us but still did it, nonetheless.

Next, we had to break the boulder...

... with our head.

That is something I didn't do no matter what. However, Asta and Yato did it quite happily.

"There is one more. The final trial in the initiation." Magna gave a huge grin, "You can use magic or whatever else you want... to either block or dodge my attack magic." Magna held a ball of flame in his hand and continued.

"If you are able to do that, you will officially be one of us Black Bulls."

Dodge or attack a ball of fire? Why so easy?

First, it was Asta's turn.

He took out his grimoire and brought out his huge black sword.

That is a nice sword but the energy around it feels... volatile. I read a couple of books before I got here about grimoires, but I never read anything like that when I was going through the books.

The magic here, the grimoires, the culture, everything. It is different from my world. Especially the magic. I don't really have the ability to see the inside of mana, but I can definitely tell that the mana composition is different from my world.

However, the thing I heard that also had me surprised was that there was a demon here. A demon. It makes me wonder how many demons exist in different worlds and where they all came from. Maybe the demon kings but where did the demon king come from? Maybe it was the world's will that cursed me.

Who or what created the group chat? Who reincarnated me? The number of questions has only kept growing ever since I arrived in this world.

I just feel... like there is something more to it. I want to know. The reason for all of this. The beginning... and the end.

"--al"

The composition in mana, is it in all worlds? Will all the group chat members be visiting different worlds? What about energy other than mana? What about energy better than mana?

"Ba--"

How is it that we can get stronger by buying these 'powers' with points we get from completing our missions in different worlds?

No, the real question. What world are we going to next?

"Baal!"

Yato's yell got me out of my thoughts, "It's your turn. Asta finished his fight."

"Huh? Is it over already?" Was I thinking so hard and long that I couldn't even keep track of the actual time?

"Yes," Yato confirmed, and I nodded.

I walked over to Magna who looked like he got caught in an explosion.

"Are you okay?" Seeing this funny sight, I chuckled a little.

"Of course. A real man doesn't cry over something so small! Are you ready?" Magna just shrugged off the pain and look over his face.

"Hmm." I nodded my head and we both back away from each other.

Magna summoned his grimoire, and I summoned mine.

"Get ready!" Magna warned.

I wanted to try something though. The second spell in my grimoire.

"Rahhhhh!" Magna started to hit many fireballs at me with his fire bat.

"[Orbs from the Abyss]"

The number of fireballs that got sent to me got matched with the number of orbs I summoned.

-Bam! -

-Boom! -

-Bam! -

-Boom! -

-Whoosh! -

When the fireballs and orbs clashed, some blew up but some of the orbs absorbed the fireball and kept on going toward Magna.

Knowing the final initiation is about either blocking or dodging I canceled out the ones that were going toward Magna.

However, I left one alone.

The one orb went toward Magna like a wrecking ball.

-Bam!! -

Seeing the function of the spell, I smiled.

"What a neat trick."
