3 That's right, I have a girlfriend

"Good luck in school, Seki."

It's Monday, everyone's most hated day.

Our protagonist is heading out to school right now.

Step. Step. Step.

Seki paused from walking in front of the school gate.

[Migi Highschool] is written on the arc.

'That's right. I have a girlfriend now. My youth is now officially starting.'

Step.

'Yes, a girlfriend. I'll be seeing my girlfriend today.'

Step.

'I'm seeing her today?!'

Step.

'A girlfriend. A girlfriend. A girlfriend.'

Seki just couldn't wrap his head around the fact that indeed, he has a girlfriend.

Exposed to such thoughts, he soon realized that he had already reached his classroom.

Standing still in front of the door, Seki took a deep breath and opened it.

'I'll be meeting my girlfriend!'

His eyes widened as he gazed inside the the classroom until he soon realized...

'Ah, that's right...'

'She's from a different school, isn't she?'

All those thoughts and pauses for nothing.

'Sigh.'

Disappointed, Seki simply went to his seat.

"Yo!"

A boy with jet black hair approached him. It was none other than Tomozaki Omaru, a close friend of Seki.

"Did you do our English assignments?"

"C-Crap, I forgot. Lend me yours, Tomo."

He was too busy playing video games that he didn't had time to remember.

"No way, idiot."

"Come on! I'll change it a bit so it won't look obvious."

"We all know that's a scam! Geez, I wonder what will change that reckless attitude of yours. How about getting a girlfriend?"

"I do have one."

...

Silence. Even the people who weren't part of the conversation heard it and was petrified.

"EH?!"

The whole classroom has entered a state of panic. Some were running around the room like total psychopaths, and some were even calling exorcists and priests to purify the whole campus.

Indeed it was quite hard to believe that the muscle-headed idiot has gained a girlfriend.

"Is she hot?"

"What class is she in?"

"Does she even attend this school?"

Seki was barraged by questions by his classmates.

"Oi, oi, shut the hell up. My ears will bleed."

"Answer our questions first!"

"Fine, fine! But ask one by one, you goddamn neanderthals."

The whole class nodded and decided to ask this one important question:

"What's her name?"

Seki's face froze from the sudden realization.

'I don't know her name don't I?'

Class just ended and Eru is walking around the school with her close friend, Yuu Jin.

"Geez, Eru. I can't believe you got a boyfriend without knowing his name."

Indeed, the same thing happened with Eru. Although the slight difference is that unlike Seki, she was only questioned by Yuu.

'Did I really not know his name? Or perhaps that day was just a dream that never actually happened. What if the guy that confessed to me was actually just a ghost? Or maybe I hit my head and somehow got selected Amnesia. So many possibilities, it frightens me!'

Indeed. So many possibilities yet it never popped in her head that she simply didn't ask for his name.

Whisper. Whisper. Whisper.

The students on the school gate were murmuring and whispering to each other.

"Those two aren't from here, right?"

"What are Migi Highschool students doing here?"

"Both of them are pretty cute don't you think?"

Gossip. Gossip. Gossip.

The gossips piqued the interest of both Eru and Yuu, so they decided to check it out.

Two fairly attractive boys were standing in front of the Hidari Highschool gate.

"Just admit it, Seki! You don't have a girlfriend! And why are we even here?"

"I told you, this is the school she attends."

"How do you know what school she is from but not know her name?!"

Their loud argument was clearly heard by the other students.

'Wait. That guy... That's him, right? That's definitely him, right? That's the guy who confessed to me, right? Am I just imagining things? Maybe I'm just fatigued and hallucinating. Right? Yeah. That's it. I'm just imagi—'

"Oh look, there she is."

Seki was indeed, pointing towards Eru.

"Eh?!"

Everyone around them chorused in confusion.

"Is that true, Eru?! Is that the guy you were talking about? Is that your boyfriend?!"

Even Eru was startled by this sudden visit. Truth to be told, Seki was the only one calm in that situation.

"I-I think so."

Seki started walking towards Eru with a straight and serious face.

Step. Step. Step.

Eru's was in total panic mode that she didn't know what to do. Her heart was beating non-stop from the nervousness.

'W-What do I do? Why is he approaching me? Is he gonna do something bad? Is he gonna take me? What if he suddenly grabs me? And what if—'

"My name's Seki Horimata. Nice to meet you."

With a big and bright smile, he extended his arm for a handshake.

...

"Eh?"

Indeed, this is the first interaction they have as a couple; an introduction.

What a truly strange development.
