44 Coming to light

It was a peaceful Sunday; most people prepared to spend time with their families or loved ones.

Many people went outside since the weather was great almost everywhere on Earth, except for Antarctica, obviously.

By a twist of fate, some treasure hunters tried to find their luck and excavate ruins on the African Continent.

"Boss! We have found the entrance!" A somewhat lanky middle-aged man shouted.

The team of over twenty people started to shout in delight; some even whistled or started to cry.

Their family income depended on finding antiques lost over the years, and since Earth had advanced so much, it was hard to do so, as most ruins were already discovered, with everything inside taken by either the World Government or other powerful factions.

Right when the small team decided to enter, the sound of footsteps could be heard coming from the entrance.
