12 Injustice

Derek came into the toilet and fell on his knees was he saw Terra's lifeless body. Genuine tears flowed down from his eyes and then he saw me.

'Mellissa!' He cried out and I ran into his arms crying as he stroking my head consoling me and himself.

'Who did this?' He asked his voice mixed with anger, hate and sadness. I looked at him and just when I was about to tell him, the culprits came with a few other friend of hers.

'Jesus! Terra! Who performed this atrocity? 'MJ, Jace what are you doing here?' Stephanie asked as she drew me from Derek's arms.

'Derek..... don't tell me you did this.' Yuan said and he held Derek and pulled him up. I pulled myself away from Stephanie and went to side with Derek.

'Why are you blaming the innocent?' I questioned and they all looked at me with a confused expression.

'She's right! Why blame the innocent when the guilty is amongst us?' Jace added.

'He is the culprit. We saw him next to Terra's lifeless body, so he a suspect.' Seth said. Yuan gripped the collar of Derek and I pushed him away.

'Seth call the police!' Stephanie shouted. I hugged Derek's thigh and he patted my head. Seth phoned the police and since there were nearby, it took about ten minutes to get here. The police officers entered the bathroom and the EMS carried her body away.

'' Who were witnesses to the crime?' The officer asked and Stephanie said she was a witness blocking my path. She informed them that she saw Derek rape and murder Terra, though she was his girlfriend. Derek's mouth agaped at her and he denied doing it.

'She's lying officer. I have proof that Derek had nothing to do with my sister's murder.'

Jace handed him the phone and he watched the video. He immediately stopped watching it and clenched his fist.

'Arrest them!' He commanded pointing at the three musketeers. They handcuffed them and started taking them away. He told me, Jace and Derek to come to the police station to get our statements and we agreed.

At the police station they put them in the cell and I called mum immediately. After getting our statements my mum arrived, and hugged me tightly which caused my eyes to well up. The police officer informed my mum about it and she broke down completely.

'Miss, it's okay! She is gone and won't come back to us!' Derek sobbed out and hugged her. For the first time I saw Jace crying but he quickly cleaned them when he saw me staring.

'What are you thinking about?' Justin asked as he sat on the grass looking at me.

'Refreshing and regretting bad memories!' I said looking at the bright moon.

'It is painful right?' He asked and it forced me to look at him.

'Can it not be?' I asked mostly to myself. I looked around but didn't find Jace anywhere.

'Looking for Jace? His girlfriend came and while you were lost in thoughts they went out to have dinner.' He said clarifying my doubts. I sat next to Justin and he handed me a drink.

'So did your mum get justice?' I asked and he shook his head and looked at me.

'In this so - called law of justice, does anyone ever gets justice?' He replied. He is right my sister didn't even get the justice she deserved because Stephanie, Yuan and Seth all had link to the government. Their parents proved that we were just misunderstanding everything. It was pure injustice!!!! This world needs a change; because someone's parent is rich and has the government on their side doesn't mean the poor will get injustice.

'You are right! My sister didn't even get her justice.' I told him pressing his shoulder.

'What happened to her?'He asked and I told him.
