In the hospital,

Kai was observing with great attention as the nurse was dressing up Sophie's wound.

"Is the wound too deep? Does she need any sutures?" Kai asked the nurse worriedly.

"No. It's not too deep. She should avoid getting the wound in contact with water for a few days and she will be alright." The nurse explained before leaving the two alone.

"Are you sure, you are okay? Do you need anything?" Kai asked Sophie with concern.

"Didn't you just heard the nurse? I am fine." After replying to Kai, Sophie looked at her phone lying beside her on the bed.

By her expression, Kai understood that she was waiting for Cheng Yi's call.

"Oh, Cheng Yi might be looking for you since you came here so suddenly." He said.

Sophie pressed her lips and turned towards Kai.

She replied in clear voice, "It's alright. He knows that I am busy."
