Bree's Awakening

Hunter stopped drinking after the first cup and sat down, Now that the adrenaline was gone he realized everything that just happened.

To be honest he was more than. a little scared about what the several pills in his pockets could be, As the only way to learn would be to teat them.

"And Hunter kicked that guy in the balls!" Justin was telling the story of how the man had chased them down the halls, Bree was drinking also, although she looked angry for some reason.

As the only one who wasn't drinking Hunter started to freeze up again, 'Even though this is cool... There are too many people' Hunter squirmed at the close quarters of the room and sat in the corner letting everyone drink and wondering how to get out of there.

While he was thinking this a sharp slapping sound snapped him out of his thoughts and he looked over to see Jessica having. a shocked expression as Bree had just slapped her.

"You bitch!" Jessica said and stood up looking at Bree In rage, She was about to say something else before catching another slap to the face, making her fall down onto the bed, her shocked expression never leaving her face.

"How dare you!" Free jumped on her and started punching her face causing Hunter and the rest to jump at her grabbing her and pulling her off of Jessica.

"Let go I'll kill her!" Free said and glowing red light burst throughout the room and knocking everyone back.

Here stopped and looked down staring at her hands "A-An ability?..." She said surprised, show she had awakened and ability.

This wasn't a common occurrence, there had only been a few late bloomers and they were all ridiculously strong, these were the types of people who would go to wars and even end up leading some of them.

There were only 12 in America that Had been awakened late, and they were the strongest, had the best jobs, and even got paid more than anyone else, so seeing Bree awakened late everyone sat there shocked.

Bree was the first to get over it and looked at Jessica murderously, Then the red light swirled around her as it shot toward Jessica faster than anyone could blink.

Hunter just sat there watching in shock, his father was a late awakened, and his father was the strongest person he knew, seeing Bree is just like his father made him shake in fear.

Jessica screamed in pain as the light hit her, making a small trickle of blood flow out of her cheek, Ethan widened his eyes as Bree was about to shoot another beam, and just before she could he tackled her to the ground stopping her from moving "Are you fucking crazy!?"

"The rest got back up and pinned Bree down as Hunter still stayed there shocked at what was happening, As Justin touched Bree her eyes glowed red and they were all blasted away as Justin's arm was blasted off by her beams...

" H-Holy shit!!!" He yelled in pain and grabbed his arm in pain, at the same time Bree started walking toward him slowly, looking at him murderously.

*Crack*

Bree's eyes widened as she felt some pain on her neck before her eyes closed and she fell down unconscious, Behind her stood Hunter who was clutching his and in pain 'I need to get stronger...I think my finger is broken...

Ethan ended up calling an ambulance for Justin and the cops came to take everyone else, their happy mood completely gone...

"She should die! just because she is strong doesn't mean she deserves more rights!" A woman yelled seeing the teens sitting there, Bree was cuffed with special ability damping cuffs.

This woman was Justin's mother, and she didn't have the ability, even in ability free zones most people had abilities, they were usually weak like Justin but the law enforcement all had abilities.

"Mam calm down," The police officer said and activated his ability, the lights started to dim as shadows closed in on the area.

"Shadow manipulation?" Hunter said and sighed seeing Sasha walk-in angrily, she glanced at him for a second then turned to her daughter.

"Bree..." She started and bree kept her head down, "What were you thinking?" Sasha asked and Bree looked up, "I-I was just so angry..." Bree answered and looked away.

"Mam your daughter is free to go, awakening this late causes intense emotions so she won't be blamed, as for the boy that she attacked... oh well," The police officer said making Sasha smile as they uncuffed her and left, "Wait... Hunter, aren't you coming?" Sasha asked confusedly and Hinter just smiled.

"Sorry mam, but we still need him for questioning," The officer said glaring at Hunter menacingly making him flinch.

"Huh? is there a reason?"

"None that I can disclose goodbye mam" They led Sasha and Bree away, Bree looked back at him, Slightly worried thinking it was her fault.

Everyone left and Hunter was brought to a room where several cops looked at him suspiciously, Hunter eyed the table and widened his eyes seeing the pills he had stolen from the 'Dungeon'.

"Seems you recognize these... your handprints are all over the bag, what are they?, and where did you get them" A guy only a few feet away from said gesturing for him to sit.

Hunter sat down and breathed in and out heavily, he looked very suspicious but was only trying to not seem like he knew what they were.

"Kid!, answer me!" The man yelled and grabbed Hunter's collar making Hunter look away in fear.

"I-I-I-I... I don't k-know..." Hunter managed to get out.

*Slap*

Hunter fell out of the chair after being slapped by the man at the table "Don't lie!" He said his eyes glowing as he used his ability, This man's ability was mind-reading, and so he searched Hunter's mind.

"I'm sorry dad!" The man saw Hunter standing there with blood on his front and another kid that looked like him on the ground...

The man was suspicious but this isn't what he was looking for, "What are these pills?" He heard hunters voice ask looking at the pill, 'So he really doesn't know...

The man stopped the mind-reading and stood up grabbing hunter by the arm, " I'll call your parents... the pills will be coming back with us-" As the man was saying this his phone started ringing.

"Hello?" The man answered, "Oh hey boss I'm almost finished..."

"What?... But boss!", The man widened his eyes as his boss was screaming and thing up sighing " The pills are yours..." He pushed hunter slightly before putting the pills in a better bag and giving it to hunter "I'll be watching you..." He said and had people lead hunter out of the police station.

"That... was shitty" Hunter said check-in the time as he got home, he only had 5 more hours to do his strength quest or he would get the penalty, so he threw the pills on his bed and swiftly changes before walking out of the room.

"Hunter!" Bree said as he was leaving and she walked up "I..." She looked away, she didn't know what to say, she had gotten him in trouble even though it was her fault he was there in the first place.

"It's alright," Hunter said smiling, He lightly tapped her shoulder with his fist and walked about of the apartment complex...

Bree stood there 'When did he?...' She shook her head and turned around "I'll apologize when he gets back..." She said to herself and quickly went back to her apartment...
