Steve's POVI am Steven Khirby Villanueva, the son of the owner of the university I go to. Modesty aside, I am popular and many girls like me and would do everything to get my attention. But I have my eyes set for only one, the love of my life…

Jaz Michaella Salvador, the woman I have long dreamed of.

"Go Steven"

"You're so cute, Jazper!"

"Go Jaxson"

We are currently playing basketball and my eyes are searching for Jazmic. She's the one I hope to hear cheering for me.

"Go Steve" I heard the voice I had been longing to hear. That voice! She's the only one who can call me Steve in the whole campus.

Oh, there she is, my dear Jazmic! I got the needed boost of energy and inspiration that made me want to play at my best and win the game. There is she is, not with the fans, but sitting very close to our bench. Hearing her say my name made my heartbeat faster.

But I don't assume that she is there for me. Because now that IntraFest is just starting, Jazper, the oldest of the HotShot Eagles and Jazmic's brother told me so.

"Jaz, stay there on your bench first, we'll meet you there." I heard Jazper told his sister.

"Jazper Salvador, I am not here for you" Jazmic said annoyed.

"Well, who else are you here for?" Jazper asked in astonishment.

"I'll just give Steve a bottled water, is there anything wrong with that?"

Jazmic will give me water?! Why? I didn't ask her to.

"You don't need to give him water. Coach prepared a jug for all." Defend me Jazmic.

"I wanted to give him water" Jaz retorted. "And after all, Ate Korine is here." Yes, Korine, my ultimate sidekick.

"Do you like Steven?" Jasper asked her again, to her surprise.

I was excited to hear for her answer but her friends started teasing her. I think I know the answer based on her body language. I felt that there is something with that bottle of water.

"It doesn't mean that if I gave him a bottle of water, it means I like him. Don't assume." she said in annoyance.

I was taken aback by her answer. She's right, I should not assume. I should not give it any meaning.

"Goodluck Eagles and you Captain Steve" Jazmic said happily. It excited me to play even more.

The game progresses and we finally won again. I'm so happy because Jazmic cheered for me and she gave me a bottled water. I feel so lucky!

"Yes! The Hotshots win!"

"Steven, can we have a picture?"

"Wayne, let's take a picture"

"Jax, let's go, your treat!"

"Vinc, let's go have some milk tea"

I've heard a lot of those, but sorry because I will only approach Jazmic and not anyone else.

"Drae, join me" I quickly grabbed Andrae and pulled him away from the fans. We immediately went to the bench where the Master Eaglettes, Jazmic's team, was warming up.

"You don't have to bring me here. I got lots of girls already!" That's Philip Andrae Swix, great playboy in my circle of friends.

"Ok, go back there, and don't expect me to treat you later." I said jokingly.

While walking, I heard Zoe's parrot voice.

"Captain, congrats! Treat me huh." I knew it, she wants a treat from me. We'll, I'm sorry, my plan is to treat only Jazmic and Eunie, Jazmic's best friend since childhood.

"Jaz, he's here, the one you've been waiting for." Jazmic is waiting for me? Why?

"Hey Steve, congrats. Treat me later huh?' It was the sweetest hearing her say that. It felt so good.

"Of course, just name it! Can I stay here at your bench and watch your team play?" I totally support you, my love. I said in silence.

"Looks like your team is having a celebration. They are already looking for you" Jazmic told me.

"So this is why you're in a hurry to leave us, you're going to watch the game and support Jazmic" Well, the great brother has arrived.

"Are we going somewhere else? I'm still watching the game." I'm supporting my Jazmic

"In the canteen, Coach said we have free snacks" Shall I go? I decided to stay.

"Jaz, let's go to court. Coach Jo is calling us." Aww I still want to be with her.

"Jazper, go ahead. I'll still watch the next volleyball game." It's what I really wanted to do.

"All right, if that's what you want." Jasper must have eaten something that changed his mind and finally leave me alone.

I immediately followed Eunie to reach Jazmic. It's a great feeling that I have won a game and now, I am with the star I dream about.

"Jazmic, g-goodluck in the game. I'll support you" that's all I said. I even stuttered like I was nervous.

"Thank you" was all she said beaming beautifully.

"Go Amanda"

"Go Euni"

"Zoe, I have a crush on you"

"Jazmic, do your best on the court" said Korine, my older sister whom Jazper is dating

"Why is Khirby still here? Isn't it that the team is having a celebration? Who is he here for?"

I heard these questions on the bench just behind where Jazmic is sitting. For me, I will only support one.

"Go Jazmic" I said quickly so that the others might hear it.

While Jazmic was playing inside the court, the whole students fell silent as Khyla Allaine, the beautiful Captain, arrived. The girl everyone thought was my ex-girlfriend.

"Allaine is here"

"Jaz and Allaine will play against each other."

"Isn't Allaine Steven's ex?"

"Maybe Allaine ang Steven are getting back together."

She wasn't my "ex". It was only rumored that she was my "ex". Jazmic will be my first, no exes.

"Timeout, Master Eaglettes" when they timed out, I immediately approached Jazmic, but then she walked away from me

"Steve, don't come near me first please" Jazmic said angrily

"Steven, don't come near her for a while." What happened?

"Eunie, let's go back to court" Micha said reluctantly

I wondered why Jazmic acted like that. We were fine earlier.

The game ended and Allaine's team won. Jazmic's team lost the game. I won't be able to get close to her because it might get worse

"Better luck next time, there is a rematch."

"You're still Ate Jaz"

"The Hotshot Eagles are here again"

"I love you Jazper"

"You're mine Drae"

"Jaz Michaella, what happened to you?" Jazper shouted as he arrived

Only this time did Jazmic lose. Her team always emerge as winner. She was not in the mood. Jazmic lost her smile when they timed out earlier. But I know she will still do her best in the next following days. I just really swear that Allaine has nothing to do with their lost.

Jazmic, if you've heard any rumors, don't believe it. There is no truth to what they are saying.
