199 Unscalable Wall

I don't remember when exactly my viewpoint shifted. However, there was a time I realized that as terrible as people act, there is still a very thin barrier, where you consider other people as humans.

Even people fighting each other will usually think this way. From what I've seen, it even happens if it's a life-and-death battle. They still think of each other as actual people. But I saw it in a different way.

Instead of seeing the person across from me as a person, I saw them as an object. One that had strengths, weaknesses, and a set of programming. The first time I realized this, I crushed a grown man's eye and used his panic to go even further, breaking his fingers.

The situation was a bit bad for me at the time, and I did it with a group of people. They were a sketchy gang, but it doesn't change the fact that I did it to other humans that hadn't done enough to deserve such a thing.

And I liked it.
