36 Ariana’s Party-Part 4

Maya's POV

I didn't expect that Christopher will kiss me, but I have to be honest, he can kiss, I don't wish to push him away because I don't want him to be embarrassed. And he asked me to trust him, but I don't need to lead him on, but I think it is better to play this game because I don't need to be guilty. After all, he kissed me voluntarily. I put my hands at the back of his neck and I kissed him back, then as we are kissing I suddenly heard a loud smack, and I am so confused about what happened and when I open my eyes, I saw Adonis standing beside me, and he is so furious.

I looked at Chris on the ground and the side of his mouth is bleeding, and I am so astounded, and I just realized Adonis punched Christopher, I get up and try to help Chris, but Adonis holds my wrist.

"Don't!" He ordered, and I became so angry with him, I pushed him so hard, and I can see the shock on his face. I run to help Chris, but he is smiling and raised his hand to signal me to stay away from him, and I got so confused. Our friends are already surrounding us, and I couldn't believe that Adonis did all this to Chris.

Then, Adonis quickly picks me up and brings me inside his house. I tried to get away from his hold, but he is very strong. I don't want to give the onlookers another show so instead of yelling at him to put me down, I just let him carry me inside, and I am shocked that he suddenly brought me upstairs since he is taking the stairs two steps at a time. And I realized Adonis is so strong, for he carried me as I have just been made of light material.

This is the first time I saw him so angry, but I am also angry with him. He stops in front of Ariana's room. And he didn't put me down. He opened the door, then he brought me to the bathroom. Then he stared at my face, and I hate myself that I glanced at him since I can't stop myself from gaping at his handsome face, even though he looks so furious I can still see his lovely face beyond his anger.

"Take a shower now and make it quick, for we require talking." He said in a growl, then he closed the door. I am still stunned by what happened, and I am so confused as to why Christopher was smiling even though Adonis hit him, and he stopped me from helping him, I desire to talk to him. I just can't let this slide. Adonis is too much. I shower, and I am just glad I learn there is always a clean towel in Ariana's bathroom since it is so big there are cabinets for bath towels, face towels, and even bath mats.

I finish my bath quickly, and I can't stop myself from feeling so nervous about what will happen now, I know I need to control myself this time, and I should show Adonis that I am not afraid of him anymore, and I got relieved when I get out of the shower I don't find Adonis in the room. But instead, I found a dress on top of the bed, it was new with new undergarments, and there is a note on the surface, and my hands are trembling as I read Adonis's handwriting.

"Maya,

Please wear this dress, since I have been dying to see you in that dress. I know you will look lovely wearing this.

I made a big mistake, but if you still care for me, and want to hear my side of the story, I will wait for you on the terrace where I first taste your perfect lips. But if you choose Christopher over me, it would be another story because I will never let you go, Maya. You are mine and will always be.

I don't know what is on his mind, but he is something, I hate him, but I can't stop myself from smiling reading his note. I remember his words on the gift-tag on the bike that he gave me, I keep it on my box where I keep memorabilia, and I am confident this note will be part of my treasure. I sit on the side of the bed admiring the dress, and it smells so expensive, and I realize they always go for signature clothes, if only my sister is here with me, I know she is now screaming with happiness, and I can't wait to tell my sister what happened tonight. I am sure it will thrill her for me.

I suddenly felt butterflies in my stomach, remembering his words on his note. He claimed I would always be his, but how could be Adonis acted like I am nothing to him if he cares for me. I shook my head, and I sighed, I don't know if I can face him, but I want to hear his side of the story. Furthermore, I got so confused, and I need my friends to give me some words of wisdom. I get dressed immediately, and I am shocked to find myself looking so charming in front of Ariana's vanity mirror. And when I am ready to get out of the room, the door opens and Lisa emerged on the door.

"Oh! Wow! You look so lovely with that dress Maya, you look like a real fairy on that dress." Lisa declared as she sees me with my new white knee-length fairy style dress.

"So, where is your Prince Charming?" She asked, and I don't want to say anything yet, so I handed her the note and her eyes widened.

"Well, it explains all with his actions, I can't believe he punched Chris, and your suitor seems to enjoy the blow he got from Adonis since he was smiling the entire time, and we all know Christopher can defend himself from Adonis because he is strong yet, he let Adonis hit him twice." She said, and I didn't realize he smacked him twice.

"I perceive he is afraid that his father will lose his job, even him. That is why I am here since Beatrice asked me to talk to you if you can convince Adonis to forgive his brother." Lisa added, and I got so annoyed.

"What? Chris did nothing it was Adonis who needs to apologize not Chris." I retorted.

"Well, I don't know what is in your mind right now, but I think you should talk to him, stop being indignant, Maya, it only means one thing, he is crazy about you, he loses his cool. Adonis is the coolest next to Rich in the entire rich kid's circle, and he was furious when he saw Chris kissing you, even I was shocked, and what made me more surprised you kissed him back, you should feel happy that Adonis showed his honest feelings for you." Lisa said, and I realized what Chris means when he told me he wants to find out my theory, and he was right, I was so wrong about Adonis's genuine feelings for me.

"I can tell he is in love with you, Maya, now go to him and don't keep him waiting for you. You are the luckiest person, Maya since Adonis Monleon is crazy in love with you, we don't know what happens if you won't give him a chance to explain." Lisa said, and I am so glad that she came, or else I will be still sitting on the bed contemplating on what to do.

My best friend pulled me outside the room of Ariana, and she sends me to the door leading to the platform, then she left. I walked to the veranda, and I saw him leaning on the terrace railings, and when he sensed my presence, he looks up, and I can see his expressions relax the moment he saw me. My strides slow since I felt so nervous, and then he moves closer to meet me halfway.

"You came!" He exclaimed and his intense gaze made my resolved melt.

We are standing at the center of the terrace under the start night, and I hate myself for remembering my first kiss with Adonis, it was like this, the stars are shining brightly above us.

"My Maya, you looked so beautiful with that dress." He said, and I tried my best to contain my happiness because I want to remain angry with him, but without delay, Adonis kissed me intently, and I tried to push him away, but I felt too weak to move my muscles for I am so hypnotized with his kiss, and I don't want to deny myself the sweetness of his lips, he placed his arm around my waist while his other arm is at the back of my head, and I can't stand myself to lay my hands around his neck. And we are kissing again under the starry night on the terrace of the Monleon's mansion. He kissed me hungrily, and I am so disappointed when he stopped kissing me, and he cupped my face and stared at me in the eyes.

"Maya! I am sorry for being so greedy, but I can't stop myself to be closed to you, I wish to be selfish and be with you when I saw Chris kissing you, I don't want to keep my real feelings for you anymore, I need you to be my girlfriend whatever it takes, please be my girlfriend, Maya, and make me the happiest young man in the universe." Adonis said, and I felt so happy that he still wants me to be his girlfriend, but I am confused by his words, but I don't care what it means, all I need is to be his girl.

"Yes! Adonis, I choose to be your girlfriend and be the only one. I wish you to be my boyfriend, even if you hurt me so much!" I replied, and I can't keep myself from crying since I am so happy that finally, I became his girl.

"Of course, you are the only girl, I love, Maya, there is no one in this world who makes me feel this way. I am sorry but being my girlfriend won't be an easy ride for you, I am afraid you will undergo some trials, but I promise you I will be there with you. Just allow me to kiss you one more time before I will tell you everything. And I want this kiss to be special because you are now officially my girlfriend." He said, and he claimed my swollen lips again, and we share another hot and deep kiss, and I felt so happy to be in his arms again.
