Chapter - 4: Fundamental Force Manipulation: Electromagnetism

--------------

[Third Person]

In his snug garage, Miguel found himself alone, surrounded by an air of intense focus and tranquility as he readied himself for his project. He delved into something that held the promise of uncovering truths or, at the very least, broadening his perspective.

The garage air was thick with the scent of aged wood and a faint whiff of motor oil. While some might have found it overwhelming, for Miguel, it brought back fond memories of tinkering with cars.

With laser-like focus, he carefully selected two coins: one copper, one nickel. These coins were crucial to his experiment, each carrying its own significance in his pursuit of alchemy.

Miguel's nimble fingers deftly set about the task of forming bracelets from the coins, symbolizing the connection between heaven and earth. Copper, chosen for its qualities, would signify the earthly realm, while nickel, with its transitional qualities, would embody the connection to the celestial realm.

The rhythmic clang of his hammer against the metal echoed throughout the garage, a testament to Miguel's unwavering dedication and expertise in crafting the vessels for his personal alchemy.

As the bracelets began to take shape, Miguel turned his attention to the intricate carvings that would adorn them. Drawing inspiration from Greek cosmology, he infused his bracelets with the conceptual power of idol theory in an effort to succeed in his personal alchemical endeavor.

Each bracelet was adorned with an alchemical circle: one symbolized Heaven, with Miguel consciously channeling the powerful energy of Zeus through the idol theory, while the other was dedicated to Earth, with Gaia embodying the essence of the earthly realm.

The decision to use them for his personal alchemy was simple: as for Zeus, he was a supreme god with dominion over all the heavens and, especially in this modern age, he was still very popular, which would have given his alchemy a significant increase in power.

As for Gaia Primordial "Protogena", Greek Goddess of the Earth, she represented nature, harvest, animals, fertility, motherhood, birth, procreation, creation and life.

And it is precisely for this reason that, in the idol theory, she would have represented the birth of her new alchemy, thus granting considerable conceptual power to secure a minimum of control over one of the fundamental forces of the universe.

With a precision that spoke volumes of his dedication, he painstakingly etched these symbols onto the coins. The intricate curves and lines, coupled with the meticulous arrangement of symbols, mirrored the depth of his knowledge and unwavering commitment.

As the final touches were applied, a profound sense of accomplishment washed over him. The journey had been arduous, yet the results promised to be nothing short of extraordinary.

"I can't wait any longer..." A broad smile lit up his face as he gazed upon the finished bracelets. Without a moment's hesitation, he adorned his wrists with them. Once they were in place, he made his way to a bottom drawer in the garage, brimming with anticipation for what lay ahead.

Opening the drawer, he pulled out a few simple coins and slipped them into his pocket, knowing that they would soon play a crucial role in his alchemical research. A satisfied mental smile appeared on his lips as he left the garage and headed elsewhere, gathering more materials as a contingency plan in case the armbands wore out during his experiments.

These materials were carefully stowed away in various compartments of his backpack. With a hint of amusement dancing in his eyes, he chuckled to himself as he put on the backpack.

His eyes turned emerald, reflecting his sense of determination and anticipation. "Although it's a rare thing for me, it's time to let go a little and push my limits."

[Interlude]

"I'm not a complete fool yet, am I?" Miguel mused as he fastened the bracelets to his wrists. He took a deep breath, steeling himself for what lay ahead. The time for questions would come later, for now he had to concentrate on the task at hand.

He found himself in an abandoned building, now covered in soot from the fire he had deliberately set. The surrounding area had been deliberately cleared of anything flammable to prevent the flames from spreading uncontrollably.

With the two bracelets in place, he prepared to begin his alchemical experiment. Gently, he positioned them so that they touched, and the room was charged with an air of anticipation. The process began with faint sparks of electricity jumping between the bracelets, coursing through his fingers and arms, and enveloping his body.

With each passing second, the sparks grew in intensity, forming a crackling and swirling electric energy around him, like controlled arcs of lightning. Miguel remained calm and composed, as if he had complete mastery over the forces at play.

With a precise motion, he directed the path of the lightning, moving it forward. Lightning flashed and collided with an iron wall, a dazzling display of his newfound power.

The wall absorbed the impact, the tremendous heat generated by the impact was nothing short of astonishing. It turned the once sturdy metal of the iron wall into a molten mass, causing it to warp and deform under the intensity of the energy.

The room crackled with residual energy and the molten wall continued to smolder. Miguel's focused gaze remained on the armbands as he muttered to himself in a hushed but determined tone.

"The emission is too intense. I have yet to master the perfect control of the local O2 content in the air from a distance, which would allow me to precisely control the +/- distribution of the electrical charge."

This accomplishment had exceeded his initial expectations, as it was the first time he had delved into such advanced elemental alchemy. Mistakes were to be expected, and he was determined to correct them as he continued to explore this new path.

It was time to prove the true potential of his alchemy; after all, having less control over electromagnetism allowed him to achieve many different possibilities that should not be possible for a normal human.

With a subtle but significant gesture, he brought the two bracelets into contact once more. This time, the situation was quite different. In addition to the electrical discharges that had surrounded him before, several dark particles formed in his immediate vicinity, creating an intriguing and mysterious atmosphere.

Exercising his mastery of electromagnetism, Miguel effortlessly gathered every grain of iron sand in his surroundings and swirled it around him in a vortex reminiscent of a tornado.

As the seconds passed, the intensity of the swirling black sand decreased and a group of black swords formed around him. Each sword made a sound as if it was vibrating at high speed, testifying to the new alchemical powers it was wielding.

Miguel's face contorted in a mixture of concentration and excitement as he began to manipulate the swords. They slowly coalesced into a much larger and more imposing weapon that dwarfed his previous ones.

With a decisive flick of his wrist, he released the colossal sword with a sharp thrust. It hurtled toward the attic of the building with incredible force, tearing apart everything in its path without a hint of resistance.

The destructive spectacle was a vivid illustration of his growing control over this new personal form of power, as several of the remaining pieces of the building fell around him.

Miguel stood in the middle of the room, clenching his fist tightly, a triumphant glow in his eyes. He was on the verge of mastering this extraordinary power, and the possibilities were truly limitless.

"Unlimited? Well, then I must test the limits to the limit," he said with a determined gleam in his eyes. Without a moment's hesitation, he reached into his pocket and pulled out a coin, holding it in the palm of his hand. Taking a deep breath, he drew the bracelets closer and began his alchemical experiment.

A sense of anticipation filled the room as the seconds ticked away. The bracelets parted and electric sparks danced around me, forming a shimmering halo. But I had only one target: The coin.

Placing the coin between my thumb and the side of my index finger, I held it with precision, like a marksman aiming at a distant target. The room seemed to hold its breath, waiting for the spectacle.

With a flick of my fingers, I released the coin with pinpoint accuracy. In an instant, the surroundings were engulfed in a blinding brilliance, an intense, radiant white that burned the senses. The coin, no longer a mere piece of metal, had transformed into an unstoppable force of energy, hurtling forward with devastating force.

As it advanced, it left a trail of glowing beauty in its wake. The world around me disappeared in a sea of light, and the coin became a manifestation of raw, unbridled energy.

As the blinding glow faded, he stood amid the remnants of his unleashed power, a clear testament to a fundamental force that commanded the entire universe.

His eyes fell to his arms, where the consequences of his experiment were exposed. He saw several second-degree burns that had rendered his arms useless, and he could not help but grunt in pain.

They were clearly the consequences of not yet being able to command such power at will. He winced as he inspected the burns, but realized that he had pushed this new alchemy to its limits.

"After all, there seems to be a cost to be paid for this power," he admitted sincerely, "I have to become familiar with it before I try something similar again."

Time seemed to bend as he waited, an obvious expectation evident in his gaze. Then, as if by magic, a miracle unfolded before his eyes. His arms began to regenerate as new cells in his body made their way through the rapid healing process. Within moments, they were back in perfect shape, as if the burns had never happened.

He marveled at the phenomenon, his voice full of wonder, "Troll regeneration, an amazing ability. With a sense of relief, he flexed his fully healed arms and examined them for any lingering effects.

It seemed that his new powers had completely restored him, leaving no trace of damage. "I can now confidently say that I am well prepared for my upcoming fourth year at Hogwarts," he declared with obvious amusement.

The thought of being reunited with his friends, especially his little 'Ice Queen' and the rest of the familiar faces, filled him with a sense of satisfaction. After all, even though he had initially approached them to gain a few advantages for himself, they had now become true friends he could count on in times of need.

This coming school year promises to be extremely fun. And he will finally have the opportunity to let loose and show the world what it really means to use the true art of alchemy in all its power.

Tell me what you think of the story with lots of comments to let me know what you think and what you want to see or even some improvements I can make.

Yes, as you noted for Mc's alchemical skill I based it on Misaka Mikoto although of course there are clear differences between them. From the next one, I want to initial on Hogwarts, as I also want to focus on the world of Harry Potter and their magic system and try to combine it with Mc's alchemy.

And also begin to introduce different characters from this world since it's already four chapters that I have focused on the elements of FMA.

On the other hand, if you want to see something specific in the next chapters, or even just have some good advice for the story as a whole, I am always willing to read a comment if it is constructive criticism.

If you see any mistakes, I would be grateful if you would point them out to me, so that I can correct them when I have some spare time, and make the story as complete as possible for myself and especially for you.

To facilitate a clearer understanding, I've retained pictures of the respective characters. Your feedback is always valued, and if you have any suggestions for the upcoming chapter, please feel free to comment—I'll be sure to respond as usual.
