Chapter 5 : Result ?

Third person point of view

They soon reached the house and Cecil looked at it with awe. He remembered the purpose of his visit and his chest felt tight. He did feel nervous but he has to pull it off well for the sake of the both of them. He let out a huff. Aaron walked in and Cecil followed him. They went in and Cecil couldn't help thinking that it was more extravagant than theirs. " Will it be fine ? " Cecil asked.

Aaron shrugged. " Probably ". " How did you keep escaping till now ? " " Well... every time was a different situation ". Cecil let out a sigh. Aaron was not at all in his right mind for doing all of this. Cecil thought he himself was the same. He shook his head and looked at the surroundings. " You're family got good taste ". Cecil commented. " Thanks ". Aaron replied.

They went to the living room and there was a couple sitting there. They looked surprised when they saw Cecil. " My mother and father ". Cecil smiled. " Hello uncle and aunty ". The both of them were yet to recover from the shock. Aaron waited without saying anything. " Who is he ? " Aaron's father asked after processing it.

" My lover ". Aaron answered coolly shocking the two elders once again. They also looked confused. " Where is grandpa ? " " In his study ". Aaron nodded and gestured for Cecil to follow him. Cecil gave a smile and went with Aaron. " You should also join us ". Aaron shouted back. The couple also got up and followed them.

They went to the room and Aaron knocked three times. He held the knob twisting it and opened the door. The four of them entered the room. Grandfather was sitting on his rocking chair and reading a book. The couple went to stand on his side. Cecil stood beside Aaron. Grandfather looked intrigued. Aaron introduced him.

" My lover ". Aaron introduced Cecil. Cecil found it really weird. Aaron wouldn't even say Cecil's name. But he didn't show it on his face and looked polite. " Hello grandpa ". He gave a smile. Aaron was nervous but he was sure he will survive this. He maintained a poker face. " Just yesterday you said there is no one. Now where did this lover come from ? "

Cecil cursed in his heart. He wanted to yell at Aaron for taunting him saying he spouted nonsense. Now he dug himself a hole. Aaron looked at Cecil. Cecil met his gaze. He knew Aaron would be of no help. " Actually, we weren't yet thinking about marriage and didn't make our relationship known to people too. So I guess he said that ".

Cecil replied and grandfather turned to look at him with interest. " Is that so ? " Cecil nodded confidently. Aaron's heart was drumming. His grandfather nodded back. " How long have you known each other ? " " Around 2 years ". Aaron answered. " Then how come you agree to marriage now ? " Cecil smiled at the question.

" I love him. Should there be any other reason ? " Aaron was impressed and smiled. Grandfather also seemed to be satisfied with the answer. " Smart, aren't you ? " Cecil just smiled and didn't say anything. Aaron's parents who were on the side let out the breath they were holding. " What is your name ? " Aaron's dad asked.

" Cecil ". He nodded. " Nice name ". " Thank you ". " What do you do ? " Aaron's mother asked. " I am a designer and I have my own brand ". She nodded impressed by it. Grandfather turned to look at the time. " Do you mind having lunch with us ? " Cecil turned to look at Aaron. Aaron gave a nod. " Sure ". Cecil said and they all walked from there.

They sat down at the table. Grandfather sat at the head of the table. Aaron and Cecil sat down on his right. While Aaron's parents sat on the left. The food was served and Cecil looked at the dishes. He picked up some for Aaron and put it in his plate. He then put some for himself and they started having it.

Grandfather observed all the details. Aaron was happy with Cecil's performance. He made everything look natural like that was how they have always been. They ate in silence. Cecil put another dish in Aaron's plate. " He doesn't eat that ". Grandfather said and all of them stopped. Cecil also did. " Why ? " He asked looking confused.

" It has shrimp ". Cecil nodded. " Yeah, but he ate it when he was with me last time. He isn't allergic to it right ? " Aaron nodded. He mentally praised himself for telling that to Cecil. Grandfather nodded. " Alright ". Cecil let out a sigh silently. Aaron raised his fist under the table. Cecil bumped with his. And so, their lunch was a success.

" I think we can meet your parents over the weekend ". Grandfather said and Cecil nodded. " I will let them know ". He bid them goodbye and walked out. Aaron walked Cecil out. " You should be given an Oscar at this level ". Cecil rolled his eyes. " And you should learn to do better ". Aaron snorted. " Well I never had to lie with a straight face. I guess it does require some skill ".

Cecil puffed. " Whatever. I will tell my parents to not bring up the topic of that wedding and tell them the same story too ". Aaron nodded. " Bye ". Cecil went to the car and got in. He rolled the window down. " Let me know the place or you can directly tell my father ". Aaron nodded. Cecil waved and the car drove away.
