3 Memory Lane

"Y/n, Jeon Jungkook will be your future husband." Your father said this with no expression in his face. Your eyes widened quickly and you spoke before thinking.

"WHAT?!" You screamed.

"Y/N ELISE PARK!!" Your father yelled at you. The look of disappointment and pure anger covered his face.

Jungkook looked over in your direction and you made eye contact. When your eyes locked he hung his head, as if he felt sorry, like he didn't have much of a choice either.

You looked back at your father who glared furiously at you. There are two things you can do in this situation. Either stay and get a lecture, plenty of yelling and... possible physical abuse for your refusal, OR walk out of the room before something can happen.

" . . . Y/n." Jungkook said, trying to calm you down. You didn't even look at him. Quickly turning around and pacing out of the office with tears in your eyes.

You run to your car and struggle driving home from your blurry vision. You try to stop crying but the tears kept coming and coming.

'I guess Mom was right. He hasn't changed and I bet he never will! He doesn't care about me anymore. All he cares about is his image and money. There is no way I'm helping him by marrying that guy Jungkook!' You thought to yourself.

You finally arrive at your penthouse. When you went into the elevator everyone stared at you. It was obvious you were crying, though you are a natural beauty and don't wear makeup, your face was all red and puffy. Everyone looked at you with pity. You felt so uncomfortable and yet so relieved you were back home.

So many emotions and thoughts were going through your head right now. You decided to finish unpacking all your belongings and clean your house to get your mind off of things, for a distraction, so you don't think about the marriage that your NOT going through with.

While unpacking you found an old photo. It was you when you were seven, before the divorce. Your Mom and father were standing behind you, all of you were smiling and happy, enjoying yourselves at the park.

You look at the photo and chuckled at all your missing teeth. You were always so silly and happy as a child. You remember that day perfectly. You all went out for ice cream and played hide and seek at the park together, it's one of your best memories with your parents, with your father. Before he changed, he was an amazing role model for you and so kind. He would never lay a hand on you.

After the divorce though, you went to visit him when you were nine, and all he did was yell at you and hit you for coming when he made it clear he didn't want you. There were so many empty beer bottles on the counter. After that day you never saw him again. Until now, but, he still hasn't changed.

You were so lost in thought, thinking how good things were back then, that you didn't even notice the tear drop on the frame of the photo.

"sniff* I, I miss you dad. sniff* The old you." You barely got the words out. Just thinking about it made you want to cry even more.

That night, you cried yourself to sleep, holding the picture close to your heart.
