25 Conflict

Henry burns the whole night studying the prayer for the Deities. Like how normal people do, prayers are like a personal letter to a Deity. When you personalize your prayer it becomes a calling ritual.

The prayer starts by thanking the Deity for your present life, then an apology for being undeserving, and lastly will be your wish. Before you did that, you need to cleanse, create the Deity's symbol then prayer started.

The morning came and knocked on his door wake him up.

"Coming!!!" Henry stands up from his table where he sleeps.

He opens the door still dizzy from lack of sleep. Navea looks at his upkeep look before a scowl surface on her face.

*Slap!!*

She slapped him hard and Henry leans back from the force. A clear red imprint on his face. Henry is shocked by what happened.

"What the hell!?" Henry reacted in shock and he stares at her finally getting sober enough to see her eyes in red.

"Having fun playing around?" Navea ask.

"Wait... What are you talking about? Go inside first," Henry said firmly pulling her inside despite her struggle.

"Let go of me!!!" She tried to leave but he already drags her inside.

"Calm down first okay!? What is happening to you!? I just wake up from a whole night of reading. Can't you wait for some time for this?" Henry shouted but he still has a calm face.

'Why am I doing this? Can't I just let them do what they wanted and have an easy life?'

"While you are sleeping comfortably, we were attacked inside the room! Happy now!! You don't need to mind what is happening? Oh yeah! You have someone looking after you so you don't need to worry and wait for a year to get the heck out of here," she said calming down but instead of relaxing, she starts to become colder that Henry realizes his mistake.

"Look, I'm sorry... I didn't know they can attack you inside your room. I don't know how this place works. I'm just starting to learn. Look!! I'm fucking selling myself just to survive like the rest of us!" Henry answered in a hot tone but still trying to have a calm face even with his firm voice.

Navea stares at him except for the book Hagard gave.

*Slap!!*

"What now!??" Henry breathes deep and hard to calm down himself again.

"Do you know that your room is an apartment that is literally four times bigger than mine?" Navea said. She observes his room after entering adding it to her colder tone.

"I don't know okay!? Fuck luck is this... If you aren't just beautiful or fucking awesome I'll smack you in return...." Henry yelled at start and mumbles as he finishes.

*Slap!!*

"Huff... Do it one more time and I'll **** you-"

*Slapp!!*

"One mo-"

*Slapp!!*

"Can we plea-"

*Slap!!!*

Henry is breathing hard looking like he will strike her any second.

"I'll give you myself in return if you can help the remaining leave..." Navea said. She then walks to the door but it won't open.

"Haaaa... Look, I'm not that desperate to get you. I will not also help them to have you. Sure, I will help them as long as I can but I can't dedicate all my time just to them. I need them to help themselves. I don't know how much can my contractor hold my life intact. I don't even know him for more than a month! That shit shorty drop me off in this place to be slaughtered! Huff!" Henry starts to get anxious at what he starts to realize.

'I don't know how much long Harbek can hold them from killing me.'

He knows that interest always goes above and beyond any means. He knows that and always avoided it.

"How about this... Can you please help me with preparing them? Make them stronger and powerful. I am working on my social life. If that is perfectly executed then living here will be easier. I need your help to help yourselves and help me in the process. I'm trying to have some space between all of us for me to have something to navigate on. I can't be always with you guys," Henry in a relaxed tone tried to explain his side.

"Why?"

"Because if I always will be with you I won't have any chance to know what is happening! I won't even have this!" Henry show her the book.

"What's that?" Navea coldly asks.

"I'm renting myself for some dude with godly titles and powers," Henry replied. Navea's cold face frowned before sighing in surrender.

"You know that it's just a temporary strength for a whole lot of headaches right?" Navea ask.

"Yeah! I know... I'm also holding some more secrets so I can't get you in here until I complete them," Henry honestly said.

"I can see... Every one of us has. Kellen said that he can contact Harbek for you at one time. What do you think?" Navea ask.

"Let me talk to him now," Henry said.

Navea nodded and Henry walks toward the door with Navea. They left for their room. They were just in the 2nd row where it's narrower. They enter a room with only one space except for the bathroom. It has a trace of battle from the burns on the wall.

"Damn... How can they enter this room?" Henry scowled in anger.

'No safe place here for us...'

"Look who is here..." Kellen said making others sneers. Jin just shook his head. Henry mouthed a sorry at him.

"Hey!! What are you doing here!!" Others yelled in contempt.

"I'm sorry for what happen and it won't change if you blame me," Henry honestly said not even giving a fuck about their anger and blaming eyes.

"Kellen, can you help us contact his contractor?" Navea ask.

"Yeah, at least we can try," he sighed before searching his robe. Pulling a small snail shell.

The room is full of all of the 17 Apprentice. It seems that the other room was also attacked as they won't be piling up in here if it's dangerous.

"Ayy!! Can you help me just this once?" Kellen said on the snail shell.

[What? I don't have a time for your tricks...] A delicate feminine voice responds from the shell. Kellen enlarges it on the ground and they gave him some space.

"No, it's serious this time. Can you get Harbek for me? Harbek the Black tells him that his contractor is asking for him. It's an emergency."

[I'll try...] The voice has an uncertain tone. Henry frowns at that and walks closer.
