15 working with the chipmunks

For a second Rehan just blinked. He had never thought that he would meet the girl here, in his office as his assistant.

And her horrified expressions told that even she was not aware of that.

"Is there any problem sir?" asked the secretary who had brought Tammana in.

Only then both come to their senses.

"No problem."

They both spoke again together. Then glared at each other. Then looked at the bewildered secretary and gave an awkward smile.

The secretary was looking confused, she wanted to ask more, yet nodded.

"Ok then, I will get going," she added.

Rehan nodded, signalling her to go and do her work. She wants to close the door. But Tammana was still standing there, glued to her spot.

Rehan smirked, finally! This feisty kitten is under her.

"Are you going to stand there the whole day?" he asked, raising a brow.

She glared at him, still, she moved and came in, and stood in front of the table.

"So you have joined here as my assistant?" he asked the obvious which felt like a taunt to Tammana.

"Didn't you just hear your secretary?" she asked, folding her hands on her chest.

"What an attitude?" he sneered "you should learn the etiquettes here. Or are you forgetting that I am your boss?"

She was fuming inside, yet she controlled her expressions. Taking a deep breath she brought a professional smile on her face, "good morning sir, how can I help you?"

"That's better," he replied nodding. "Prepare a cup of coffee for me."

"Isn't it the job of the secretary? I am here for filing work, not serving you." she glared at him again.

"Your job is what I tell you to do. nothing more, nothing less. Now go and bring me a cup of coffee." he ordered her with a smirk.

"You" she glared but looking at him, raising a brow. She closed her eyes and smiled again, "very well, sir."

Stomping her heels on the marble floor, clicking it to the extreme she walked out of the office and went to the secretary's cubicle.

"Rehan, cough cough, sir has asked for a coffee, can you tell me where and how to make it?" asked Tammana to the petite girl who was wearing a shorter dress according to her proportion.

The secretary scrunched her brows and spoke, "you don't need to do that, it's my work. I will make one now." with that she stood up ready to go when Tammanaa put a hand on her shoulders.

"No, the boss wants me to make it. You can just tell me, I will do it," she added with a smile.

"That's my work, miss Tammana. You have yours." she replied annoyed to Tammana then took a deep breath and continued, "fine, but only this time. Take a left from that corner, there is a pantry. You can make coffee there. Boss will take black coffee, with no sugar." with that she sat back again and continued her work on the computer.

Tammana nodded with a smile and walked towards the pantry. She made coffee and smirked, "hope you like your coffee hot." with that she walked back towards the office.

Knocking the door, she entered in. Rehan was working on a file. He didn't even look up to check who entered, but just asked, "yes"

"Your coffee sir" she put the coffee tray in front of him with a professional smile.

He eyed her, how did a ferocious tigress turn into a pet kitten? But still nodded.

Just when he was about to pick the cup, she added.

"Careful, it's a bit hot" with a worried face.

He raised a brow at this sudden change but nodded, "its ok, I like hot coffee." and she smiled nodding.

But just when he put the cup on her lips, it burnt. He could swear the coffee was hotter than the lava. He put the cup down instantly when he heard her chuckle.

Her fascinating laugh would have looked beautiful to him if he wasn't the one she would be laughing on.

"What did you do?" he asked, eying her.

She stifled her laughter and said, "didn't I tell you that the coffee is hot, how is it my mistake now?"

"It's January, the winter. Temperature is 5c how could coffee be this hot, even after 10min of making it?" he asked, bewildered more to himself than her.

But the girl's expression paled, he gazed at her but next second she just shrugged her shoulders.

"How would I know? I am not the temperature expert here. Now would you give me some work or we just chit chat standing here?" she asked in annoyance.

He looked at her suspiciously but there was nothing to blame her so he nodded and took a file from the table.

"It's the new advertisement campaign for our holiday policy. Go and check the file and then tell me every plan's positive and negative points." with that he handed her the file.

She nodded, taking the file and going towards her cubicle, glad that he did not ask her any more about it.

Rehan picked the cup again with furrowed brows, "strange" as the cup was still hot in the chilling weather.

With that, he continued the work.

"So, how was the first meeting?" asked Meera, walking towards the Tammana cubicle with a smile.

"You knew" asked Tammana. "You knew it was their office. I have to work under that chipmunk. You knew all along right?" she asked with a glare, she was ready to pounce on her if she received an affirmation.

"Uh, what are you talking about?" asked Meera with her brows touching each other.

"She is talking about me." came a voice from behind and they both turned.

"So I am a chipmunk. Huh?" asked the man standing in front of them.
