16 let the fun begin

Rehan who had just come out to go to the meeting stopped when he heard Tammana shouting.

'Did the girl start fighting with others on the first day of her joining?' This thought made him curious and he followed the path from where the voice was coming.

And there he found the other girl too, who was with Tammana that night. What was her name, Meera right? Raghav would be very happy when he would know about this. Though he had not said anything but he could feel that Raghav was trying to search the girl.

His lips curved upwards, thinking about him being the cupid, but in the next second the smile vanished from her lips as he heard her saying

"You knew" asked Tammana. "You knew it was their office. I have to work under that chipmunk. You knew all along right?" she was glaring at Meera.

At least his one doubt was confirmed that she actually did not know that he worked here.

But then what she said was true? Did Meera bring her here? If that's so then it only meant one thing, that Meera too liked Raghav. He was so excited with his new findings that he even forgot that the girl was calling him chipmunk.

He just came out of his glee moment when he heard Meera speaking, "Uh, what are you talking about?"

He walked forward and stood just behind Meera, and then asked "So I am a chipmunk. Huh?"

Both girls turned towards him with bewildered faces and then soon their faces changed.

Both were in shock, but one had a happy surprise moment while the other had a panic mode.

"What are you doing here?" asked Meera with wide eyes breaking the deafening silence between them.

"Huh?"

"You did not know."

"You did not know."

Both Tammana and Rehan asked at the same time.

Meera flinched because of their sudden shout, her brows furrowed as she asked both of them, "how would I know?"

This made both of them further confused who had imagined a whole novel love story.

"Then why did you ask me to join this place with you?" asked Tammana, completely forgetting about the existence of Rehan who was still standing there.

Even Rehan had his ears open and looked at Meera with curious eyes, to know the answer, "because they were paying the highest salary. We need to pay rent at Tamanna." she replied as if it was obvious and everyone must be already aware of it.

Her reply instantly shut Tammana's mouth as she bit her lip and looked above mumbling something under her breath.

Next moment she hugged Meera, "I am sorry, I am really sorry to drag you in this mess and yet had the nerve to complain to you." she apologised in a wet voice.

To say that he was surprised by the turn of events would be an understatement.

And what was the mess they were talking about, he was sure that night they both were adorned with finest dresses and rarest gems and now they were struggling to pay rent, there was something a miss.

All the things were not sitting well with him. Most importantly he was amazed as both girls blatantly ignored him. These are the only two girls who do that in the whole office and party. Whether rich or poor, they did not care who he was.

"Hey, this is the office, not your home" spoke Rehan, as the girls were still hugging each other even after a long time.

They both finally got separated and glared at him.

"Hey, I am your boss here, treat me respectfully." His order finally brought Meera back to reality as they were here to work as normal humans. So, she nodded and changed her expressions.

But Tammana was still glaring at him, Meera nudged Tammana and finally, Tammana blinked her eyes and spoke, "do you need anything sir?" her tone was perfectly professional matching with her office attire.

She was wearing a cream shirt and black pants, with 3-inch heels, her hair was tied in a ponytail. Her whole attire was simple and most common in the office as she was not even using any makeup, but still, Rehan was sure she was the most stunning one here.

Even he lost his senses looking at her smile, though he knew it was fake.

He coughed coming out of his stupor and nodded his head, "yes I want you to come with me to the meeting and take notes."

"Huh! Isn't it what a secretary should do?" she asked again speechless at his continuous assault.

He was intentionally targeting her taking benefit of his powers.

"I am here to handle projects with you, taking notes, making coffee, schedules, fixing appointments are the work of the secretary." she indeed each useless task he had given her or could give her in the future.

Rehan smirked, enjoying her glares. She had been showing him attitude since the start, now he would tell her who the real boss is.

"Have you forgotten what I said in the morning? Your work is what your boss asks you to do, and I am asking you to come and write notes. So you will have to do it or you are free to go home." he added looking at her red face seething in anger.

"You" but before Tammana could continue Meera nudged her and when she turned Meera shook her head. She indicated to Tammana that it was not a wise time to pick up a fight with the boss.

Tammana took a few deep breaths and brought her signature professional smile back to her face and said, "anything you say, boss."

Rehan smirked satisfied with the result, there was a mischievous glint in his eyes.

He nodded and turned back, rubbing his hands in anticipation. 'Let the fun begins'
