When it came out of his mouth, Nikolai realized how cruel those words were. These people were some he met along the way and others like Luke, who he killed himself, but all of them were people.

The system made him believe, time and time again, that he was not in the real world but a story of some sort. As if humans did not create this artifact, but a god who wants his will enforced, and he was using Nikolai for that purpose.

However, thinking about the system's origin was futile, but he can find answers by looking into his origin. Valkyrie made him believe she knew something about that, but he refused to fall for her schemes, and the matter was never uncovered.

"I have two visitors who have important information for me," smiled Nikolai before turning back toward the menu. "It seems that the summoning of dead characters is locked, as the buttons are grayed out. Maybe it has something with my Sovereignty Level."
