Chapter 20

"Since we are here alone, why do we waste such an opportunity ", I played along. That was the only possible answer I got from my thoughts. From the look on his face one could tell he wasn't expecting me to be talking like that.

"Well, since you have gotten used to my tricks, let's just go and get something into your tummy", he said turning to sit back on the bed.

"You should try harder next time", I told him and dragged him along with me out of the room to the dining table. Jazzy had already served breakfast so I left him behind and sat down to feed my rumbling stomach. He came to sit directly opposite to me looking at me but I pretended not to have noticed it and took a bite of the bread. He took the bread from me and ate it.

"What are you doing?", I questioned him.

"Eating breakfast of course,what else?",

"So why I'd you take mine from me when there was enough on the table?"

"Ooops, I didn't realize it".

I stretched my arm to get the tea jug but he took it before I could reach it. He poured the tea in his cup and began sipping teasingly . He still held unto the jug after serving himself while sipping on the tea. He was really trying my patience but I had plans reserved for him. Immediately he let go of the jug, I took it and served myself some tea. When I decided to drink it, he held my cup. Since I wasn't ready to leave it for him , I held it tight while he was also trying his best to take it from me. We struggled with it till the cup fell and broke.

"Are you okay now?", I asked him as I made my way to leave.

"Let's go out for a walk"

"Are you serious, how can I go for a walk with an empty stomach?"

"You will be fine, go and get changed", he said as acting like a devil. I went to my room just to find a very beautiful dress on my bed.

"Change into that, I'd be waiting outside", I head his voice from behind the door. I changed as I was told and put on a block heel I found beside the bed before going out to meet him. The dress exposed my cleavage and my body shape so much that I began to feel uncomfortable. He got his eyes fixed on me making me blush.

"How do I look?", I asked trying to get his attention on me and not my body or the dress. He looked as if he had lost concentration by just staring at me.

"I asked a question, Aikens ", I said.

"Oh yeah.. right … you look like a perfect angel about to save the righteous ", he complemented.

"Thanks for the dress… so where are we up to?

"Let's get ourselves in the car then u will find out", he said and headed towards the door. I didn't utter any word since I wanted to preserve my energy for whatever he had in mind. We drove out of the compound to a luxurious restaurant in the city. I was marveled but I didn't want to look like someone from the village who will stare in awe. He offered his hand which I gracefully took before walking in. The waiter directed us to a table which was already reserved.

"Menu please", he called out and the waiter rushed to us with it.

"I need coffee with much milk and pancake", I ordered .

"Same here", he added.

The waiter dressed neatly brought our order and all we had to do was to thank him. We ate our meal in silence and before leaving the restaurant, he placed the money on the table before moving to the car.

"Did you enjoy the meal?", he asked and I nodded. "Good to hear that", he said and off we went.

"Where are we headed to?", I asked curiously

"Just stay put, you will know soon",
