1 Gangster's Paradise

There are approximately 7,763,514,873 people in the world right now. Of course give a couple of hundred people, I mean who actually counts every single possible living person on the planet anyway? At this exact moment, each of those 7 billion people are living completely different lives. Once you are born, you begin your life in different countries, different cities, within different families and different circumstances. Some are part of that 1%, some are not so lucky. Some earn their status in life, some skim the rules of society and take a riskier path. My dads chose the riskier path and decided that their life should be different than most. I was born into a family of gangsters and this dramatically shifted my life.

My name is Amara Corinthos, but I go simply by Amy. I am Sonny Corinthos and Jason Morgan's daughter which may sound weird at the moment but i'll explain it more in detail shortly. For those who don't know who they are, I'll explain their history briefly. They fundamentally made me who I am today and its important for you to know who they are and where they come from before explaining the rest of my life.

Sonny was born Michael Corthinos Jr. in Bensonhurst, New York. His father Mike was pretty absent for most of his life and his mother Adela married an abusive cop who I won't even continue to talk about because he's been long dead and should remain that way. He began hanging around the wrong people in his youth and to get rid of his step-father, he accepted a job from a notable mobster back in the day. He eventually stole his position but that's a story for another day. At the time he was dating the lovely Connie Falconeri but that didn't stop him from being the lady's man he has always been. His dimples can get any woman to bend to his will.

One day, he and Connie were eating at their favorite diner, and my mother walked in. As Sonny has described to me, she walked in with booming confidence, silky black hair and a Madonna Halter Top. She was with her brother Julian Jerome, who has now become Sonny's enemy. They hit it off right away and when Connie ended up leaving for college, he and my mother Chloe conquered the world together. She disowned her mobster father and got in bed with mine. However, Sonny is not my biological father. She followed him everywhere, all the way to Port Charles, where I was born. Sonny bought a strip club, the Paradise Lounge. A Sleazy place but that's just my opinion. Fortunately he sold the place and went into the coffee business instead. Then of course a bunch of stuff happened, he hooked up with various women, had some gun fights, lost some friends but ultimately when everything was said and done, he met my father Jason. My biological father.

Jason Morgan, born Jason Quartermaine, was the son of Alan Quartermaine a notable member of the great Quartermaine family. They are a wealthy, business oriented family with schemes, fights, oh so many fights and mostly a lot of judgement. At least they used to be. They have mellowed out over the years but still, they can be quite cruel. Jason was their golden boy and he was studying to become a doctor like his father. However, fate decided otherwise. His brother AJ, a notable drunk, drove his car into a tree and Jason who had tried to stop him was in the car with him. He suffered from brain damage and lost his memories. He has no recollection of his time as a Quartermaine. Once he woke up he felt a lot of pressure from his family and he wanted nothing to do with it so he changed his name to Morgan, the name of his grandmother and left the mansion. He met Sonny one night and the rest was history. He became Sonny's enforcer.

Jason and Chloe hit it off right away. Chloe was interested in him but Jason was loyal to a fault and always had other obligations. He first began dating Sonny's friend Robin. Then Elizabeth, who I prefer he never dates again although I love her with all my heart. Then he dated Carly shortly, Sonny's current wife and also Jason's best friend. Then there was Courtney, Sonny's sister. He and Jason got married and had a child but she miscarried before giving birth. Chloe saw this as her opportunity so she ended up getting my father very drunk one night and created me. He had no idea they had even slept together and she lied throughout her whole entire pregnancy. When it came time to give birth, she was mad that Jason and Courtney were working things out and she spewed the biggest lie of her life, or so I thought. She faked her death, although no one knew at the time, and she asked Sonny to raise me as his own while Jason stood face to face with her. Sonny took me as his own without hesitation and that is how I became a Corinthos.

Although Sonny signed my birth certificate, Jason found out he was my biological father just a month later. Chloe revealed her secret on a videotape at his and Courtney's wedding while she forgot the tape was running. He ran over to Sonny's but he was already attached and if you would know Jason, you know that everyone else comes before him so he did not say a word. Sonny, knowing he was not able to take care of a child by himself asked Jason to be my guardian for legal purposes. Jason agreed and that is how I came to have two dads.

This brings us to the present. I have 5 sisters, 5 brothers, 2 dads and 3 moms. My sisters are Kristina, whom Sonny shares with Alexis Davis, Josslyn Jacks, whom belongs to Carly from another marriage, Avery, Sonny's daughter with my aunt Ava Jerome and Donna Corinthos, the newest edition to our family via Sonny and Carly. Dante is my oldest brother via Sonny and Olivia, Connie's cousin, Michael and Morgan are Sonny and Carly's sons, however Michael is biologically AJ's son making him my biological cousin. Jake is my little brother via Jason and Elizabeth and finally Danny is my little brother via Jason and his wife Sam. Sam and Carly although not my biological mothers have played a huge maternal figure in my life. Sam also has another child, Emily Scout with my Uncle Drew, Jason's long lost twin.

All of this is complicated, messy and confusing but this is my life. I have plenty of people all around me and everything is always confusing and complicated all the time. But this is how I like it. There is always a shoulder to cry on and always someone to roll on the floor and laugh with. Although this is all confusing as of right now, the story only get more complex. So buckle up because it's going to be an interesting ride. What I am going to tell you next is going to blow all of this out of the water.
