Oliver VS Paine.

" What happened here" Miss Reed asked staring at the three of them.

The first person to speak up among them was Paine

" He pushed me " He yelled getting up from the ground staring daggers at Oliver.

Turning to the speechless Oliver, miss reed looked at him and asked

" Is that true did you do it that?, Oliver"

Before Oliver could even speak elizabeth pouted her lips as if she was close to tears.

" He pushed him truly but he was trying to help me… Paine tried harassing me and he saved me "

" Hmph, that an obvious lie "

Elizabeth tried saying something else but Oliver stopped her " It okay elizabeth …you've done enough, thank you "

" But …"

" It true I did hit him because he stole my weapon "

" No I took ---"

" Hold your horses young men " She said with a smirk on her face. " Why don't you fight it out …and the winner gets the weapon "

Paine grinned clenching his fist looking at Oliver " Prepare to lose scum --- "

[ Combat arena activated ] the AI chimed as Oliver walked in to the arena with Paine opposite to him they stared at each other intensely...

TROLIINN!... the barrier glass closed on them

" BEGIN!!! " Miss Reed shouted.

Suddenly a white screen appeared in Oliver's retina.

[ Quest rewards ]

[ Instant level up ]

[ And will earn teacher's trust ]

[ Quest failure ---lose teachers trust ]

Reading it carefully ...' Things are looking up ' Oliver thought smiling looking straight at Paine.

' Mmh …why does he look so confident ' Paine frowned seeing Oliver smile.

" Won't you attack me? or are you a coward now? " He yelled, but Oliver just stood there clearly ignoring him.

" Then I'll attack "

Paine immediately charge in as his fists ignited with flames, Oliver just stood there still watching. When Paine was within a striking distance, he threw his fist forward... as usual it was fast and impressive to the students watching.

" Ugh, he won't stand a chance against him " A girl muttered covering her face with her hand feeling pity for Oliver.

" Bwwahaha!, yes I hope the princess is watching to see how her handsome boyfriend will get crushed she'll come for me then " A spikey haired boy grinned rasing his voice in other to get Elizabeth's attention.

" She's not even looking at you " His friend pointed out as his face went dark.

Oliver stepped backwards avoiding the strike... Paine's eyes widened in shock

' He's able to match my speed!. Mmmh I'll show him that's his limit ' Paine stretched out his hands as flame began to gather around it. The gathering flames slowly began to transform into a fire ball but before he could even complete it.

[ Partial transformation ]

He saw Oliver dash towards him at the moment he was about to finish conjuring the attack, a smirk appeared on Paine's face as he thrust his left palm forward.

But Oliver who happened to be faster than paine pushed out his right palm towards Paine's left wrist which was still swinging towards him.

Oliver's palm slammed into his wrist changing the course of the attack … 'BOOM' the attack slammed at the glass making a little crack on it.

But Oliver didn't stop there, he punched Paine hard in stomach as he spat out blood.

Immediately Paine lost balance with a look of shock on his face ' When did he get so strong ' he wondered as Oliver rotated and swung his left elbow towards his jaw.

He was able to react on time by raising his arms in front of his face as both arms collided.

" BANG" The force sent both of them flying back landing 8 feet's away from each other.

' Impossible it can't be how can he have such an insane strength that could be on par with a D rank hunter …it does not look like he's using an ability at all ' Paine stared at Oliver with an unbelievable expression full of shock and fear.

" Someone tell me it a dream how can oliver still remain standing that makes no sense "

" Maybe Paine is still playing with him "

" Playing with him you say, are you kidding didn't you see what happened "

Other students argued amongst themselves after seeing the first clash. Even Paine's friends had a baffled expression on their faces.

" We've not had enough yet you're already breathing heavily like a dog but ---you're meant to be the strongest here what going on bro " Oliver asked mockingly.

" Hmph, don't get cocky brat we've not even started the real battle "

" Oh true …let get to that "

Paine conjured small fireballs and threw them all at Oliver who spun around dodging them all one by one.

Paine continue sending more out non stop to enlarge the gap between them so as to create a stronger fire attack but to his surprise Oliver kept closing on him …panicking he kept throwing it all around without precision. Wasting no time Oliver saw an opening for an attack, immediately he activated [ stealth ] disappearing from the arena.

" Where did he go ?" Everyone wondered only to see... Paine fight the air and bam he was slammed on the all on the ground not getting up a figure appeared beside him Oliver.

[ Winner Oliver twist ] The AI announced.
