8 You should leave this town

Alais stared at the other end of the strings. Looking at the endless darkness far ahead, his lips pulled into an evil smirked. "Ha! Trying to hide from me? I'll catched you now!"

Alais jumped, floating in the mid air, he summoned a long sword, and swung the long sword onto the hundred of strings in front of him.

Right when the strings broke down, all of the townspeople fell to the ground, unconscious. The other end of the strings pulled back, and Alais quickly follow the strings, jumping from one roof to another roof.

Lucas walked to the kitchen, everything in there almost burnt down. Only a small trace of fire can be seen in the corner of the room. Walking out of the kitchen, he walked straight the corridor.

Didn't find any sign of human, he continues walk alongside the corridor, looking left and right, till he found a door, reaching for the door knob, in the next second, he flinched back his hand, feeling the high temperature from the door knob.

Rising his right foot, he kicked open the door, when he walked to the room, all he can see was red and orange fires in every corner, slowly gobbling the entire room. What supposed to be a neatly arranged row by row of church pew, drowned in the ocean of fire.

Realize that he came to the wrong room, he turned his back and want to leave the room. But the corner of his eye caught a very majestic looking statue placed in the middle of the altar. Staring at the statue, after hesitating for 5 seconds, he swung his right hand to the statue, casting a protection spell. A big translucent bubble appeared in the mid air, surrounding the statue.

Back to the corridor, waving the smoke off around him, Lucas saw red lights coming from the other end of the corridor. Running towards the room, he can heard a boy's crying and yelling sounds coming from the room ahead.

Arriving at the room entrance, he saw a dresser fell to the ground, and a little boy trying to lifted up the dresser. Observed it closely, Lucas saw that the little boy was surrounded by a big bubble in red color, seems like protecting him and something below the dresser.

Feeling familiar to the red bubble, he abruptly lifted the dresser, and saw, laying below the dresser was a golden hair girl, unconscious, with a trace of blood can be seen from her forehead flowing down to her cheek.

Looking at the unconscious girl, a flash of his past crossed his mind, he abruptly squatted down, and hold her body, lightly tapping her face, "Emily!"

Feeling the tap on her face, Freya knitted her brows and slowly open her eyes. But everything around her was so bright that she squinted her eyes . Looking vaguely at the guy calling someone's name. She can't see his face, but she can see the man's golden hair, just like hers.

Freya feel extremely tired, she can't even lifted her fingers. Stared at the man confusedly, she feel a pain coming from her forehead as her consciousness slowly faded away.

Looking at the girl back to unconscious state, Lucas abruptly stand up, with a swung of his right hand, the wall in front of him broke down, as he open a short way for them to leave the room. He glanced to the boy that still sobbing in the corner. Feeling the glanced, Andrew understand what he means, and he quickly run out.

Placing one of his hand behind Freya's back, and the other hand around the back of her bended knee, he picked her up, and walked out of the room.

The situation outside was more secure, the nuns and priests adjust very quickly as they took tarpaulin and made a big tent for temporary shelter. Walking to the tent he put down the girl, and laid her on the matras.

As everyone still busy tending the injured survivors, no one aware of their appearance, Lucas warped to the nearest forest, silently observed the girl from behind a tree.

Not long, he heard a telepathic message from Alais to come and checked what he found.

Teleported to the place Alais found, Lucas stand in a dampened and dark cave located in the base of mountain not far from the town.

Walking not far, he saw a big door blocking his way. Alais leaned on the dampened cave wall by the door. Aware of his Prince arrival, Alais walked straight to his Prince and explained what had happened.

Lucas observed the door, made of the finest metal, the door is very sturdy, and an anti-demon spell attached to the door preventing any kind of intruders to pass the door.

Hearing Alais explanation, Lucas somewhat know what thing they're dealing with. Feeling there's more important things to do, he turned his back, stared at Alais, he ordered, "Ask Marie to come here, we need a puppeteer. For now, let's go back to the church."

Back to the church, Lucas saw a small girl running here and there helping. Frowning his brows, he walked to the girl, "What are you doing?"

Freya raises her head, looking at the tall handsome man that suddenly appear in her front, she asked "Were you talking to me? It's a bit busy here, many people got injured. Sorry, I need to go now."

Turned her back to Lucas, Freya took the dampened clean towel in her hand and handed it to a lady holding her baby sitting below the tent.

Feel irritated, Lucas walked to Freya, holding her arm, he pulled Freya toward him, "Are you not injured too? You should leave this town and go to the hospital in the city."

Feeling the pressure in her hand, Freya try to loosen Lucas's grip, restraining the pain in her arm, she glared at Lucas, "Just who are you and what do you want? Why I should leave when I'm alright?"

Not loosening his hand, Lucas stared right into her eyes, "Are you from here?"

"No, I'm not. So what?"

"Then you should leave. Alais, prepare the car, send this little girl out from this town."

Standing beside Lucas, Alais startled and looked at the prince. What car? and who is this girl?

Feeling Alais standing unmoved, Lucas glared at him, rushing him. Feeling the killer gaze, Alais abruptly took out his phone, and walked to an empty corner, to make a call.

"In what right you chase me out from here? I have stayed in this church for 2 months, they have helped me alot, and I can't leave them like this when this kind of disaster happened to them."

Turning his gaze, Lucas asked the nuns and priests that standing near them, "Do you mind if I send her out?"

Hearing the question, the nuns and priests shaking their head in unison.

Walking back to his Prince, Alais whispered to Lucas, "My Prince, the car will arrived in 30 minutes."

"You have 30 mins to collect your items."

"You....!" Feeling lost in words, Freya looking around trying to get some help.

But all the nuns and priests shaking their head in unison. Sorry we can't help it, this man is really dangerous.
