1 CHAPTER ONE

(Alucard's POV)

Have you ever thought of seeing a spirit? Not a bad one but someone who definitely looks like an angel. She has icy hair, blue eyes, perfect lips, but then again, she's a spirit. But who knows? She might probably the one who would ruin my life..

"Are you sure you would take my shift?" Claude asked coughing, looking like his lungs are about to fall.

"Yeah I'm pretty sure. As long as you'll clean the house when you feel better." I chuckled. "I'll see you later bro. Bye" I closed the door of his room then head to work.

Apparently, I covered his night shift due to his continuous cough since last week. I don't wanna be the bad bestfriend who would let him die while working. Now, I have to work 24hrs because of this. I sighed as I hop into the passenger seat when my grab car arrives.

Claude and I had been working in this hospital for three years as a nurse. He's my bestfriend since we were in high school. We don't really have any idea why we took up nursing when we both hated blood. But like what other says, face your fears.

I was snap out of my weird world when I heard an ambulance siren passed through my side.

"You'll be saving another life eh?" The grab diver asked.

I chuckled, "I'm no doctor but I could help a little."

I saw the grab driver smirked then says, "I'm no doctor but I once rushed a dying patient in the hospital, I saved her. I helped a little."

"I guess you're trying to say that everyone is able to help?" I said in questionable tone.

He nods his head then smiles. I smiled back and mouthed "Thank you." I really haven't thought about that. I always think that I didn't get to help anyone when they're dying because it's all in the hands of the doctor but if I made a mistake of giving him the tools that he needs, that's the time we both kill a person. But who knows, it haven't happened. I wish it won't.

I pay the grab driver then went inside the hospital. It's past 11pm so I head to the station immediately to change.

When I get out of the station, they're rushing a girl to the ICU. I'm stationed at the Emergency so I hurry up to help them. My co-worker keeps on pumping her chest, hoping she could make it. When we get there, they immediately connect the apparatus to her but the moment it was connected, the thin line went through til the end of the screen. A signal that the girl lost her life at 11:17pm. I looked at the back and saw an old woman, perhaps her mother? She's in tears. She didn't even managed to wipe them off. A clear sign of devastation. The doctor went outside then slowly shake his head. The old woman's eyes grew wide in terror while holding the doctor's arms. I know how hard it would be. At the end of everything, even though all of us promised that we'll take care of the patient, we'll do our best, it's still not enough. If one's person life is bound to end, it will. Acceptance, even though it's the hardest thing, is the least thing we could actually do.

I look back the girl. She has blood all over her body. From what I can see, she's been shot multiple times. Her body couldn't almost make it so as her breathe.

I helped the doctor removed the bullets. It took almost 45 mins for us since they're pierce really deep in her body. We managed to remove 11 bullets in her body. Could you imagined if she lived, she's a real surviving miracle. I wonder who did this to her. To think that she's a woman, it's probably a crime of passion. The least thing that I could think of.

"We'll just call the family so they could visit her at the morgue."

"Alright. I'll stay here until she is pick up." I replied. They all leave the room and I'm left here. All alone with this girl.

From what I can see, she has the face that would join a lot of cosplay thing. You know those kind of cosplay for games? She looks like that.

I think I stared at her for a long time that when I look in front of me, I saw her standing. I slowly close my eyes and shake my head. I probably dozed off because it's past 1:34am. I think I fell asleep for 3minutes. Very helpful actually.

I look at my front again and she's still standing there.

Is she really standing?

I don't actually believe in ghosts or whatever supernatural things but no matter how I blink my eyes, she's still there. This time, she has confusion in her look.

"How many times would you actually think you're dreaming? I'm pretty sure you can see me." She muttered. I feel like my hands and feet are both sweating. I haven't feared anything but this shit is going in my nerve. I keep reminding myself that I haven't seen a ghost. IN. MY. ENTIRE. LIFE. So this shit is really impossible.

"C'mon. I know you can see me, hear me.." I probably should say no.

I need to make up things. And why the hell they aren't back yet? I'm getting sweaty here.

"I'm sure they'll be here any minute. I haven't eat anything." I try to sound relax, looking at the ceiling. And yes, I'm avoiding her. Just in case this is all troll in my mind.

I heard the door open and I jumped in shock.

"Jesus. Can you at least try knocking?" I said at these men who will bring her body in the morgue.

"We never knock. You look like you've seen a ghost."

"You okay pal?"

Do I look like I'm okay? Clearly she's still standing there. Of course I'm not okay.

"Yes." Lies. "I'll be leaving." I walk hurriedly outside til I get to the cafeteria. Out of what I saw, I lay my back at the wall of the cafeteria then slowly sat on the ground. I put my arms above my knees then buried my face on it. I don't think I'll be able to go in ICU. What if she's still there?

"Bro, you okay?" I heard that voice which familiar in my ears. I slowly lifted my head and saw him staring down at me.

"Yeah. I guess." I shrugged my shoulders. He offered his hand and I take it. He pulled me up then patted my back slowly.

"You seem flustered." Gusion says. "Covering Claude's shift?"

"Yes. He's been dying for the last couple of days so I told him to take a day off." He handed me a water. I took it then drink. I finished up the whole bottle because I lost all my sweats.

"Gusion, what if a spirit turns into a ghost?"

"I don't think it's different. They're the same. They'll stay here if they have unfinished mission."

"What do you mean?"

"Some are asking for help that's why they showed up."

"Why would they even do that?"

He laughed. "Why did you even ask? Did you see one?"

"Just answer the fucking question." I deadpan.

"Well, fuck you. They need help because they couldn't do it if they're spirit."

So does that mean she needs help?

NO. I'm not helping.

"You seriously didn't see one?" Gusion asked.

"I'm serious. No." Lies. No one will believe.

"Do you believe in them?" I asked.

Gusion leaned his back. "Sometimes. Unless I saw one, I will definitely believe." Ain't me. I saw one but I'm not believing it.

"I feel like you really see one." Gusion says as he stands up. He give me his big dick smile so I kick his leg before he went off.

I sat there for another minutes when I saw her standing in the corner. I knew this would happen. She'll follow me.

I stand up then walk straight to the reception and told my co-worker that I'll just be outside for 10mins.

When I got there outside, she's there. Following me all this time. Wherever I go, she's going to.

I faced her and she get startled. A ghost really get startled? Now I'm being dumbass.

"Alright. I can see you. I can hear you." I said. She seems sad for I don't know reason. Probably because she died? "I only have 10mins." I added.

She walks closer. She's wearing the last outfit she's wearing when she died. I knew she's a cosplayer. She's wearing one. She looks like an archer? I'm not sure. But her hair is really icy, blue eyes, and pink lips. A normal kind of face I guess.

"Will you help me?" She asked. Her eyes are full of terrors from what I can see.

"I'm not sure about that. Why can't you just go to heaven?"

"I did. I tried. They won't accept me." Really? Heaven needs passes? A golden ticket?

"Why not?"

"They said I need to know who kills me because that's the only way I would be able to sleep in peace." Do ghosts sleep? I'm confused.

"Okay but I can't help you because I don't know you."

She rolled her eyes then put her right hand in her waist. As if like my mom whenever I did something wrong.

"First of all, I'm Miya. I don't know how I died because I lost the recent memories. That's what they said when I went to heaven. But they said, I know who did it. I saw who did it."

"How will I supposed to help you?"

"Help me get into my house. Help me get into my family. Help me get into my boyfriend." Oh right she has boyfriend. Why did she even asked help from me and not her boyfriend.

"Please. Alucard, help me. I tried going into my family. Everyone in the morgue couldn't see me. I walked around the hospital. No one can. Only you. Please." She pleaded as if I'm someone who will save her. And did she just say my name?

"Did you just mention my name?"

"I did. I saw it in the nurse station." She playfully said. Damn this girl.

"Give me a reason to help you. The valid one."

"You'll die if you wouldn't be able to save me."

I laughed. What a joke. "Nice one. Not convincing."

She didn't even flinched a sense of humor when I laughed. How would I even die if I wouldn't save her? She's a spirit. No harm. I'm safe.

"You don't believe me, Alucard?" She said as her blue eyes pierced through mine. "Look at your left wrist. Only you and I can see it. You'll never get away from it. If you do, you'll die."

I immediately look at my wrist and I saw numbers.

Tell me I'm dreaming.

Tell me she's lying.

Tell me this isn't what my fate is.

"My death to yours, Alucard."
