I Tried My Best (1)

It was the second day of filming. The shooting took place in RHK Headquarter's studio. Shizu was checking the costumes in the wardrobe room.

Her day did not start great. Mr. Shigeoka called her to his office and asked her to keep the filming set gossip-free. Basically he asked her to stay away from Kira and not to stir any rumors that could damage Cheerful Youth's reputation, as Kira was a regular in the show. Of course Mr. Shigeoka asked her nicely but that really put her in a bad mood because she felt that it was not her fault!

During the lunch break, the F&B (Food and Beverage) crew from RHK distributed the lunch box to everyone. The lunch box was specifically named to avoid food waste. When Le Sucre got their shares, they realized that Shizu's was not there. Andy, the overweight man with pink wig complained to the RHK crew but they ignored him.

"It's okay, Andy. I could just order from the nearest restaurant. It's not a big deal. I am ordering chicken soup. Do you guys want some?"

Le Sucre's crew felt bad for Shizu because they knew she was being bullied. A lot of people talked bad behind her back and made up all kind of rumours. The crew, knowing that Shizu was actually a very nice person, could not accept that she was being bullied, but Shizu would always laugh it off.

"If someone disturbs you or if anything happens to you, please let me know." She asked her team, worried that her crew would be the next target as the bully could not really do anything to provoke her.

(Meanwhile, in other side of the studio)

"They really bully her." Sano, Kumo Bell's keyboardist, said as he saw a lunch box with Shizu name in a trash can.

"Yeah they do." Kuran confirmed nonchalantly while resting his chin on one of his hands.

"Don't you feel bad? You two caused it." Ritsuo glared at the Yamada Twins who were playing with their food.

"We don't. But I bet Kira does, since he did not stop the bully." Moreno added with a shrug.

"Kira is a lost cause." Ritsuo rolled his eyes.

"So are these two." Sano was referring to the Yamada Twins as he patted Ritsuo's shoulder.

"By the way don't you think something's off with Shizu - chan?" Kuran said as he tilted his head.

"Yeah, she is limping. Did something happen to her?" Moreno added as he tilted his head in the same direction as Kuran's.

Shizu just picked her soup from the delivery man. She opened the door to the studio then saw Kira.

Her eyes met his.

"Kira!"

"Kira!"

Erika Itoh and Shizu called him simultaneously.

She appeared behind her back, nudged her abruptly and made her drop her food.

Shizu's eyes widened.

"I am so sorry! I brought enough food for everyone. I'll make sure you get a double share, okay?" Erika Itoh bowed her head to Shizu then ran towards Kira.

Shizu could only take a deep breath as she saw the chicken soup that she just ordered splattered all over the floor. The other crew from Le Sucre approached her then helped her clean up.

"I need to take care of something." She told her crew then walked towards Kira.

Kira looked annoyed when he saw Erika, and he got even more upset as he saw what she did to Shizu. He knew that RHK crew bullied her and threw her food like rubbish to the trash can. And Erika just happened to add fuel to the fire.

"Kira, can we talk? Please follow me." Shizu could no longer hide her frustration.

Erika Itoh raised a brow. Who is this girl? Why did she address him in a friendly way?

Kira nodded his head then followed Shizu, leaving a confused Erika Itoh alone.

She brought him to the wardrobe room. Where should she start? She wanted to vent her frustration to him. Everything was unfair! But they all disappeared once she had a closer look on that smiley eyes. The smiley eyes that never failed to comfort her. It was like the old days, whenever Kira made a mistake or angered her, it would only take his sad face to brush off her exasperation. She liked him too much, she would hate herself for making him sad.

She could never hate him. She missed him like crazy. She had a lot to tell him, and she also had a lot to ask him.

"Why didn't you stop the twins?" There goes her first question.

"You know they listen to no one." He answered her.

Shizu cleared her throat to prepare herself for more questions. She was happy that she finally got the chance to talk to him but he looked very uncomfortable.

"Have you been well?"

"Yeah, thanks for asking."

"I have always wanted to see you."

He diverted his gaze from her.

"Are you done?" He sounded annoyed.

Her heart shrank. She only wanted to be honest about her feeling and clear the misunderstanding. Did she just offend him? Was he really disgusted by her presence? Shizu was not sure if she should explain herself or seek for explanation from him.

Well, it's been 2 years...

She nodded her head lightly.

"I'm sorry Kira. Can you please accept this? I have always treasured this. After this you will have nothing to do with me anymore."

She searched her pocket to take Kira's initial necklace. Since the beginning of the filming, Shizu had always kept the necklace in her pocket so that she would always have it ready in case she needed it.

Kira did not wait, he strode away from the wardrobe room then slammed the door.

"Wait!" She went after him.

Of course with her limping she could not catch up with Kira's long strides. He rushed towards Erika who was talking to Kumo Bell then kissed her on the lips. Surprising everyone on the set.

The twins shook their head in harmony then facepalmed.

"Stupid Kira."
