Ace's eyes brightened as Maeve signaled him to come closer seductively. He walked towards her and she signaled him to bring her ears close to her mouth. Ace furrowed his brows but did what she told.

"I am expecting" Maeve whispered with a soft smile and Ace froze.

Ace's body trembled as he looked into her eyes to ask if to confirm if what she says is true. Maeve nodded with a bright smile and Ace's body stiffened.

"I… I will become a… a father?" He questioned to which Maeve nodded.

Ace's face brightened and he picked Maeve in his arms.

"Ahn!" Maeve let out a surprised moan.

"I will become a dad! I will become a Dad!" Ace exclaimed in excitement as he started rolling all over the room in joy while Maeve who was in his arms giggled.

"Ace! Stop~ Ahahahaa~" Maeve giggled as she enjoyed his embrace but Ace didn't listen, he continued rolling like a top.

Only after rolling and shouting for a few minutes did Ace calmed down and looked into Maeve's eyes.

"This is the best reward you could ever give me, my love" He spoke with a tone filled with deep love.

They both looked into each other's eyes, and time around them stopped. The distance between their faces decreased, eyes closed and their lips met.

They shared a deep kiss and only separate after 5 minutes.

"Thank you" Ace whispered.

"Mhm," Maeve replied.

"Now go and take a bath! You stink!" Maeve complained while pinching her nose playfully.

"*Sniff* *Sniff* My wife says that I stink~ Maybe she is bored of me~" Ace cried.

"Gooo!" Maeve repeated.

"Okay, okay, just wait for me. I will go and return in a second" he answered and left the room.

"Hahaha! I will become a father! Hahaha!" Maeve heard Ace laughing like a Maniac and smiled while looking at his back, she then gazed towards her waist and smiled even more.

'He is waiting for you... of course, I am waiting as well… come out soon…' she muttered mentally while rubbing her belly.

A few minutes later, Ace returned to the room and sang.

"I am back~"

But when his eyes fell on Maeve, his body froze.

"You do realize that I am controlling myself right?" He questioned.

"Huh? What do you mean?" Maeve smiled playfully. Right now, Maeve was wearing a thin, red gown that barely hid her skin. Combined with a playful look on her face, it would be impossible for any man to control himself. She just looked that inchanting.

"Good Morning, don't you have to go to the palace hall for the council's meeting? Get ready or you will get late" Maeve answered.

"Humph! I am the king! I can be late~" Ace snorted.

"No, you can not! Get ready!" Maeve ordered in a stern tone.

"Okay…" Ace answered and unwillingly left the bed.

"*Sniff* *Sniff* my wife bullies me" Ace muttered dramatically to which Maeve shook her head helplessly.

'Who could guess that this man massacred millions of people in a single day?' she thought as she looked at Ace who was still rubbing his eyes, trying to find his robes.

Ace lazily took bath but then his eyes turned sharp and his back straightened and the calm, dignified aura returned as he walked towards the hall.

"Greeting, your highness!"

Servants greeted and he nodded.

Ace entered the Palace hall with his usual majestic aura to attend the council meeting.

The meeting is held every single day and nobles discuss the various problems the kingdom and its people are facing. Though for Ace, anyone else other than Maeve doesn't matter, he can still be considered a good king who is fair to everyone and is not a tyrant.

The meeting continued for 4 hours and Ace returned to Maeve's room.

"Ahh~ My only relief, your love is back~" Ace cried dramatically, completely opposite to how he was a few seconds ago, and rushed towards Maeve who was seated cross-legged, training.

People attending the banquet cheered as Ace and Maeve made their way towards the balcony through which the whole garden was visible.

This is a great moment that shall be written in the history of Herferd with golden letters.

Long Live Vorst Empire!" Ace roared while lifting the cup of red wine, Maeve following his actions.

"Long Live Vorst Empire!"

The people cheered.

"My subjects, I have another great news for you all" Ace added and everyone turned silent.

"We will soon have a prince or a princess roaming around the Imperial Palace! I hope you all give your heartiest blessing to our future child" Ace declared with a smile and people's faces bloomed.

"Congratulations to The Emperor and the Empress!" one of the nobles congratulated.

"Congratulations to The Emperor and the Empress!"

And the others repeated.

"I will also like to add that this shall be my last day here, me and Empress Maeve will be leaving for the imperial capital and I hope the 3 great families also shift to the imperial capital as soon as possible" Ace declared and many nobles eyes brightened. They drooled thinking about future riches.

"Now, Let the banquet begin!" Ace exclaimed as he and Maeve drunk the wine.

The music started, people started talking to each other, and the environment became livelier.
