43 All For Goddess

A middle-aged man was walking on the streets with a carefree and arrogant look. He had black hair and an average face but he wore relatively better-looking clothes. He was followed by 2 serious-looking guards who had indifferent expressions on their faces and were alert all the time.

As anyone could guess, the man was a noble who was walking around the city while looking at others with disdain and scorn.

Suddenly, he felt a tremendously high Soul pressure attacking all his being, making even breathing a hard task for him. It didn't take a second for the man to lose his strength and fall on his knees.

*Thud* *Thud* *Thud*

While the man was on his knees, trying to resist the Soul pressure even though he didn't know what it was, people around him started falling on the ground, unconscious.

Even his guards, who were stronger than him, were no exception, he looked around and wherever his eyes go, everyone was lying on the ground. He was the only one who was able to face the pressure and still be conscious.

Normally, he would have been proud of this achievement, but right now he didn't have the luxury to as he felt a slight pain in his head. He would have ignored something so insignificant if it wasn't for the scary rate at which the pain's intensity was increasing.

It started from a slight ache to a big headache and soon, the pain grew enough for him to forget about the pressure and focus solely on the pain. Nerves on his forehead popped out and he clenched his teeth in pain.

"AAAARRRGGGGGGHHHHHHHH!!!!" A few minutes later, the pain became unbearable and the man screeched in pain. It felt like someone was ripping his head apart.

Right now, the man was on the ground, screeching in pain while holding his head with all his might in fear that it will burst open. The pain was so unbearable that if he was given a chance, the man would rather die than bear it for another second.

Just as he thought he was about to pass out from the pain, foreign memories started invading his mind.

The pain started disappearing and the man's expression started changing at the same time.

The man then closed his eyes while his raged breathing calmed down. He then stood up calmly and opened his eyes, but unlike before, where his eyes held scorn and disdain, fitting of a spoiled noble, his expression was calm and dignified. Though his face remained the same, the Aura emitting from him changed. Of course, his strength didn't increase but the way he carried himself, his attitude, his charisma, his charm, his body language… everything about him changed. He looked like a different person.

Right now, there was a small smile on his face and he looked really happy about something. He glanced at his surrounding indifferently before walking in an unknown direction. The sight of 100s of people lying unconscious on the ground was completely ignored by the man. He didn't even bat an eyelid on it and walked away.

He walked for a few hours without flinching before he appeared in front of something which could only be called ruins.

"Heh… to think that this is what is left of the Shrine's…" The man spoke in a dignified voice and with a soft chuckle.

"How ignorant can these people be?" Suddenly, his smile disappeared. An enormous killing intent leaked from his body. The killing intent was so intense that it felt like it will take physical form if it wasn't stopped. The man then calmed himself down after few breaths and walked into the middle of the ruins.

He then closed his eyes and chanted something inaudible. A slight wind blew, his clothes and hair fluttered, and even though his face was average, that sight had the potential to win the heart of most of the women.

The man's chant ended and a whitish glow surrounded him. He remained calm and didn't open his eyes. The man was then fully eloped with that whitish glow and his body wasn't visible at all.

Moments later, the light disappeared with the man himself. It was like he wasn't even there at the first place, like, the light engulfed him.

The man then appeared inside what looked like an ancient temple. Everything in the surroundings could only be described with one word, extravagant.

The walls, the floor, the roof, the huge pillars, everything was made of gold. It wasn't a layer of gold that was applied to another material, it was pure gold. Although Gold can't be counted as the most precious metal in this world, it was definitely one of the expensive ones.

And this place, it was made completely with this expensive metal. Not only that, there was a huge statue of a person placed on a stage. It was so tall that the face wasn't even visible but from what was visible, it was clear that it was of a woman's.

Although the place was a little dusty, it wasn't able to cover its uniqueness and sacredness.

It looked… Holy.

Just like the man, there were several other people of different races standing around him, every single one of them was carrying themselves in a dignified way. No one felt out of place or wasn't confused by what was happening, neither were they surprised by the extravagant place, it seemed like everything was pretty normal to them. Not even the statue, though they looked at it with respect and reverence they weren't shocked by its size or uniqueness.

The man's gaze then fell on another man who, just like others was looking around with a dignified look. He was wearing torn clothes and his face was covered with dirt, if one goes by his appearance, he would think that he was a beggar.

But, if someone looks at him deeply, the way he stood there, the way he was looking around with straight back while his hands were on his back, he looked like someone with high stature, completely contrary to his clothes.

The man walks towards that beggar-looking man before speaking, "It has been a long time…"

"It has indeed... though it feels just like yesterday…" The beggar-looking man replied in a deep, dignified voice.

"So… what is your name?" The man questioned.

The beggar looking man glanced at him for a moment before he answered, "I was known as Bishop Zayn"

As those words left his mouth, the man's eyes widened in surprise.

*Thud*

He quickly fell on his knees and knotweed, "Bishop Zayn! Forgive this lowly one for talking to you so leisurely!" Not only him, but many others who were listening to their conversation also fell on their knees and kowtowed.

It was pretty funny if someone looked at the scene, a man, who was clearly a noble was kowtowing in front of a weak, poor-looking man and was asking for permission.

"Don't fret over it, our circumstances were different so I can ignore these minor details. Plus, I don't have a right to be respected, to think I would be reduced to this state. How laughable" Zayn replied in a self-mocking tone as he glanced at his own body. He looked like he couldn't believe that it was his body.

"The bishop didn't had any other option, I don't think it was his fault" The man replied without rising from his position.

"You can raise your head" Zayn responded indifferently.

"I don't dare to!" The man replied without moving from his position.

"Bishop… if you don't mind… can I suggest something?" The man questioned.

"What is it?"

"Bishop… though not best, my condition is pretty good at this moment, would you mind following me back? I will make sure you won't have to worry about minor things and you that you live comfortably" The man offered, he sounded like a worker desperately trying to impress his boss.

Zayn understood his intention but didn't reject it, his conditions were pretty bad at this moment, following this man doesn't seem to be a bad option.

"I agree" Zayn replied after thinking for a while.

The man's smile instantly brightened when he heard that, "It will be my honor to serve Bishop Zayn!" He exclaimed happily while Zayn nodded indifferently as if the man wasn't worth his time anymore.

"It looks like we are all back again…" A dignified voice was heard, grabbing everyone's attention.

"Okay, we will talk about all this later" Zayn spoke and the man nodded before standing up, but he didn't dare to raise his head and stayed 4 meters behind Zayn before he looked towards the stage. Others who kowtowed also copied the man's actions and glanced at the stage.

"Let me start with introducing myself, I was known as Arch Bishop Mary, it seems like higher-ups haven't awoken yet, but… the good news is, Our Goddess is back!" Mary exclaimed excitedly and even though everyone else knew about it, their expression brightened.

"Arch Bishop Mary, can we see our divine goddess at this moment?" A man stepped forward and questioned.

"Unfortunately, she hasn't awakened completely so we can't see her right now. But worry not, as you may have noticed, this world is now wanted due to Goddess being absent for so long, what we can do is that we can ensure that our goddess returns to a better and a purified world! So that she will bless our lowly souls with her smile.

Now I, as the Arch Bishop, order you to return from where you all came from and try to gain more power. Control everyone around you, show them the power and greatness of our goddess. Kill the ones who resist, select the ones who have potential.

All for Goddess!!"

""All for Goddess!!!"" Everyone exclaimed in unison.
