"First, I have to gain the perfect control of the heat. It is best use for my hamon."
Breathing, the most necessary step to gain hamon. If he stops breathing, then the hamon will slowly decrease inside him.
And the other way of losing hamon is losing too much blood since hamon is the energy generated by blood.
And the move Kotaro is trying to gain perfection is the Scarlet Overdrive. This move uses the heat released by hamon and concentrate it before giving the blow to the enemy.
When it is used, unlike the normal yellow sparks, the energy turns into red due to excessive heat. This one blow can lead the enemy to catch fire because of too much heat.
The reason Kotaro is practicing this particular move is because he remembered a very important detail.
Demon Blood Arts.
Special demons have demon blood arts which are very weird and powerful. Most demons don't have anything except the increase in physical aspects and abnormal healing. But these special demons who have more blood of Kibutsuji Muzan gain special abilities.
And then he remembered the demon blood art of the Upper Rank Two Demon, The Ice demon – Doma.
This demon has the ability to use ice, and he uses it to freeze the lungs of opponents to prevent them to breathe.
And to counter this demon, Kotaro has to control the heat to protect himself from these type of demons.
And another trick he has to learn is the hamon detector. This trick uses the hamon released by user, to sense the detect the surroundings. Normally, it is used in a liquid but Kotaro was determined to use it anywhere or else it would be tough for him carry liquid every time.
Most demons can also run away, so for that he needs to develop long ranged attacks. The best way to attack long range is to infuse a liquid and throw it just like in the series. But since he can't carry it every time, it is best if he just learn the power to infuse hamon in objects.
Then he could just throw a branch or rock with hamon infused in it which can harm the demon. As for weapon, he could use his fists but it would be good to carry a woollen muffler which can conduct hamon more effectively.
With enough hamon it can even harden making it able to slice heads.
But all this is needed for his safety. There is no way for Kotaro to actively hunt demons. All he needs to train so that he can protect himself and his family.
"Maybe I should teach it to Mitsuri as well. Since she has a stronger physique and more blood flow, she might be able to fight better than me. But…"
But Kotaro was worried if he would be able to satisfy her in night if this continues. To be truth, he was already a bit scared remembering that she is stronger than him. Because of hamon, he has the confidence but if she also uses hamon then…
"I have practice more. Not for demons but for my own dignity! There is no way I can lose to Mitsuri in terms of stamina!"
And after a shout, Kotaro continued his hamon training. Trying to generate hamon every time like the perfect concentrate breathing to enhance his body more.

"Kotaro-sensei! You have got a mail!"
Kotaro who was washing himself off heard the voice of the mail carrier. He quickly wiped himself and with a quick use of hamon dried himself. Then he got dressed up in his usual kimono and then opened the door.
"Here it is. The same from Sakura Town."
Kotaro looked at it and understood that Mitsuri must have send it. Looking at his happy face, the mail carrier also smiled.
"It seems sensei has his spring now."
"Well… Huh? Don't try to tease me, Uncle! Go and deliver your rest of the mails."
The uncle laughed and went away to deliver mails. It is now no more a secret that he is about to get married. Whenever he went outside to talk with people or to buy necessities, the people tease him.
"Aunt Aiko really can't keep a secret."
Without a doubt, Kotaro knew that Aunt Aiko must have opened her mouth in her gatherings about her successful matchmaking.
"Even though it is annoying… it is not bad."
It only showed him how much the people in this small town cared about him. and because of this he opened his school in this place.
Kotaro could easily open a school in Tokyo or Kyoto to earn more money, but he didn't want to go to that populated place with the familiar rush all around.
After sitting on his usual place, he opened the letter to read it. With a small smile he completed it. He could visualize the shy face of Mitsuri while writing the letter.
"I should send a reply letter."
He took out his brush and ink, and quickly wrote a love letter and thought of mailing it tomorrow.
"For now, the sun is about to set. I should take a bath and then eat dinner."
Being a single means having sufficient cooking skills. Though Kotaro never bragged, he really had good cooking skills. It was not the best, but not average either. It was above the threshold of good food.
In this era, it is not exaggerated to say that his cooking is top class. Plus with his different dishes, he can open a restaurant if he wished.
"Maybe, I should open one. Mitsuri already eats more, and with a restaurant it will be more convenient."
