Chapter 6

[ 3rd POV ]

The four stared at the girl in front of them, their gaze filled with curiosity. The girl in question was feeling very awkward, being started by so many unknown people wasn't her definition of a pleasant time, she averted her sight from them, instead looking at her tail which rested on her lap, and at the same time, her ears dropped slightly.

" How are you feeling? Sorry, what was your name? " Tai finally said, breaking the silence.

" Is Yin… thank you for helping me, " Yin responded, turning her head back to them and slightly bowing her head. 

" What were you doing in the forest? " Qrow asked

" I ehhh… woke up there? " Yin answered, not convinced herself why she appeared in the forest.

( " What do you mean why? it was funny, at least for me it was " )

' I don't need your input here, also shouldn't you be doing something else ' Yin questioned with annoyance.

" If you don't have anywhere to go, why not stay here!? " Yang yelled, standing up with her arms raised.

" Eh? Can I! " Yin asked, getting excited.

" Yay new sister! " Ruby yells before Tai or Qrow could respond.

Tai and Qrow, seeing their interaction, gave a wry smile before going outside, leaving the girls to talk. Once outside they began to discuss.

" Can she stay here? I will have to go back when Yang leaves for Beacon, " Qrow asked.

" She can, either way, Yang is going to Beacon in a few weeks. She will help Ruby be less alone, " Tai said while looking up at the clear sky.

Inside the living room you could see Yin between Yang and Ruby, while Yang was petting her head and caressing her ears, Ruby was hugging her tails while rubbing her head into them. Meanwhile, Yin just gave up trying to stop them, instead enjoying the tranquil moment.

" Don't you have any questions? " Yin asked, hoping they let her go.

" I heard you beat a Beowolf, why not a quick spar? " Yang asked, giving one last breathtaking hug to Yin before standing.

" I could do that but I don't have a weapon… R-Ruby could I use yours? " Yin asked

" If you know how to use it I don't see why not " Ruby answered, raising her head off her tail but continuing to hug them.

' System, by a scythe-wielding skill '

Just as Yang and Ruby left to look for their weapons and equipment, the pain hit, making Yin instantly grip the couch, the feeling of thousands of needles being dug deep into her skin, made Yin bite into a nearby pillow to make sure she didn't let out a scream. Once finished she made sure to clean everything up including her tear-filled face.

As the girls headed outside they met the chatting Qrow and Tai, the former seeing the geared-up girls walking to the middle of the yard gave a questioning look, before giving one bigger seeing Yin with Crescent Rose in front of Yang seemingly ready to fight, while Ruby watched on the sidelines.

Being in front of Yang, Yin flared up her aura while opening up Crescent Rose, giving it a couple of spins and swings seemingly testing out the weight and balance of the weapon, before dropping the tip into the ground behind her and getting into a stance.

Yang seeing this smirked before dropping into her stance and deploying Ember Celica from her wrist creating gauntlets around her forearms, her aura flared up too, and they started into each other until Ruby suddenly sneezed making Yang run to Yin who held her stance.

" Sorry, but I have to try this, " Yin said, leaving her stance and standing upright with her left hand raised and pointing at Yang.

Qrow, recognizing the stance feared the worst and quickly dropped to a running stance, but before he could move a hand on his shoulder stopped him, looking to Tai who was holding him while pointing at the battle he glanced back at the fight to find a yelling Yang who was suspended in mid-air unable to move.

" Come on! This is unfair! " Yang yelled while floating.

" Sorry, sorry I just wanted to see if it worked, " Yin said while holding a laugh.

With her arm still extended Yin closed her hand into a fist with her index finger out, pointing to the ground and making Yang steadily descend. Taking her stance once more she borrowed the tip of her scythe into the ground, Yang readied her stance again.

Yang run up first using her gauntlet recoil to propel herself into Yin, starting to spin in the air Yang extended her leg preparing a heel kick, ' Thought Acceleration ' activated making Yang seem to slow down, dropping close to the ground and dogging the kick, she held her scythe and made a swing upwards against Yang, leaving a large scratch on the dirt as the scythe cut it.

Yang blocked with one gauntlet using the other to shoot the scythe mid-swing making it change its course and making Yang launch back, with the scythe going sideways Yin used its momentum to spin in her heel bringing another swing towards the retreating Yang.

The scythe barely scratched her only taking a small bit of hair, stopping the swing she pointed her scythe backward ready to launch herself again but before she shoot out toward Yang, a wave of aura erupted from Yang making Yin steady her stance, Yang shot out towards her with her aura flared making her hair glow with flames and her eyes glow red.

Yin realizing the grave mistake she made, changed into a defensive position grabbing her scythe with both hands as its head pointed downwards close to the ground and its blade pointing behind her.

As Yang approached Yin, she readied her punch, using her left gauntlet to start a spin as she neared Yin, she brought back her arm and punched her, but Yin blocked the strike using the handle of her scythe, making use of the momentum she let her scythe spin around making the back of the head strike Yang.

Stepping back Yang flared up again using her semblance to boost her following attack, as she readied Yin shot the ground making her fly in the air, using another shot she boosted herself while spinning and let go of her scythe throwing it towards Yang, as it approached she quickly dogged it using her gauntlets to boost herself to the side, but the scythe suddenly turned with her braking the ground as it glides through it.

Yang barely blocked the spinning scythe crossing her arms as the scythe never seemed to stall as it continued to spin, Yin suddenly appeared above the scythe, stretching her hand she grabbed the handle and spun with it and brought it down with a heavy hit.

Yang blocked the strike using her semblance to absorb most of the damage, the ground cracked slightly below Yang, and Yin using her scythe shot behind Yang creating distance again. As they looked at each other Yang clashed her fist together in front of her and cracked her neck at the same time.

" Oh, it's ON! " Yang yelled, sending a wave of aura around her.

Digging her scythe into the ground Yin sent a look at Yang's face, she was met with an ear-to-ear grin; letting out a small chuckle she returned a small smile. Yang shot forward again, closing the distance and appearing in front of Yin, riling up a punch she shot herself forward with her fist just a few hairs away from Yin's face.

As ' Thought Acceleration ' overclocked, Yin watched with wonder as Yang's fist got closer to her, the seemingly small attack contained and doubled all of the energy she had used against her, deciding to stop the fight she tilted her head to the right making her perception of time come back to normal.

As the first blew past her, she tightened her grip on her scythe and shot it behind her making its handle fly toward Yang's chest and making her stagger back, shooting again she flew forwards catching Yang with the scythe blade, placing her heel on the ground she spun with Yang still attached to her scythe before throwing Yang into the air and following behind her.

She caught Yang at her highest point with her scythe and spun in the air with her attached, throwing her to the ground with a shot assisting her power, she watched as Yang was flung into the ground creating a small spider web-like pattern in the floor, and breaking her aura.

Yin landed next to her, sticking her scythe to the ground and letting out a breath of relief seeing Yang without any serious damage except some scrapes and broken clothing. She sat on the scythe handle while looking at Yang on the floor.

" I-I think I went a little too hard, " she whispered.

Looking behind her to where Ruby, Qrow, and Tai were watching she let out a sigh looking at the amused Qrow and Tai, while Ruby's eyes seemed to sparkle with admiration looking at her.

Standing up and grabbing her scythe she looked behind her, toward where Yang was only to see nothing there, sensing around her to find where Yang went, she met the feeling of her aura breaking as she shot forwards where she rolled on the ground before stopping beneath a tree.

" It's not that easy to beat me," Yang said, as her figure sat down next to Yin.
