Chapter 4

[ 3rd POV ]

" Now that we stopped the bleeding I think you owe me an explanation Qrow, " A man said while sitting on a couch.

" Of what exactly, " Qrow said while revolving a small flask in his hand.

Qrow was standing on the side of the couch while taking sips of his is flask before reattaching it to his hip; he had graying black, spiky hair which has a featherlike design, washed-out red eyes, and wearing a gray dress shirt with a long tail, black dress pants with black dress shoes, on the armrest of the couch laid a red tattered cloak, his shirt and hands had dried up specks blood while his cloak had a large streak in the center of it.

" Of what else do you think, you came in the middle of the night with a bloodied-up little girl in your hands… with the amount of blood coming out of her damaged arm I'm surprised she's still alive," the man on the couch said while slowly massaging his head with his hand.

" That's why I brought her here, you were the closest to where I found her, Tai," Qrow said while leaning on the armrest of the couch next to his cloak.

Tai was sitting on a dark green couch leaning forward with his head resting on his hands; he had blond hair, two strands sticking out atop his head, and behind his hand are his blue eyes, wearing brown cargo shorts with a dark brown belt, black shoes and a brown leather vest over a tan dress shirt with right sleeve cut off, his hands held specks of dried blood.

" What exactly happened for her to be in that state? " Tai asked while raising his head and leaning back on the couch.

" I don't know the full story but I watched her defeat a Beowolf that was chasing her " Qrow responded while remembering how she seemingly defeated the Grimm with a flick of the wrist using what he thought was her semblance.

" She did? Wait, you watched her defeat it, why didn't you help? " Tai spoke lightly at first, raising his voice with a questioning tone at the end.

Light footsteps made the staircase creak bringing the attention of the two discussing men, they see a young girl leaning on the stairs handrail standing midway on the stairs; she had lilac eyes and long, thick, wavy bright golden hair which fades to pale gold at the tips with a strand sticking from the top of her head, wearing a dark yellow short-sleeved shirt with black shorts.

" Little dragon, what are you doing up at this time, I hope you didn't wake Ruby too," said Tai as he looked at the half-hidden form of Yang on the stairs.

" Sorry, dad is that I heard talking and you going up the stairs so I came to check what happened, " Yang said while looking around the room, she stopped at Qrow, looking closely at the dried blood, looking back at Tai she spotted specks of dried blood in his hands.

" Uncle Qrow, what are you doing here? Why are you covered with blood? " Yang said, giving a questioning look at the two.

" Yang I think you should go back w- " Tai tried to say but was interrupted.

" Sit down Yang, either way, it's already sunrise, " Qrow interrupted, turning his head to the window.

Looking through the window one could see the growing tint of orange in the sky, small rays of light piercing the rough foliage, coming through the window they illuminated a small portion of the living room of the house, a dark green couch where Tai and Qrow were, a chair matching the couch to the right, a small end table between the two with a small lamp on top, beneath a light green rug seemed to dominate the room.

The rays partially showed the rough brick texture of the fireplace to the left of the couch, and small picture frames seated on the mantle reflected the light coming from the window.

Yang upon hearing Qrow, quickly got down the stairs and headed to the couch and seated next to Tai, Qrow who had been leaning on the armrest of the couch moved to sit on the chair next to it, taking his cloak with him.

When everyone was seated Yang spoke first.

" So what happened? " Yang asked with curiosity.

" Qrow brought someone who was injured… we stopped the bleeding a moment ago " Tai responded with a tired tone.

" She should be up in a few hours… even with the blood loss she maintained a steady pulse " Qrow added.

" Where is she now? " Yang asked, glancing lightly at the bloodied cloak of Qrow.

" Upstairs in the spare room, we can go check on her when Ruby wakes up," Tai answered sighing at the end.

" What happened to her? " Yang continued asking with slight worry in her tone.

" I found her running away from the forest with a Beowolf chasing her " Qrow replied while opening his flask.

" What was she doing in the forest? Did you kill the Beowolf? " Yang asked, as more questions came from every answer.

" I saw her running out of the forest, she had a deep wound on her arm and ripped clothes, she then suddenly stopped in the middle of the road and turned around facing the Grimm " Qrow started to narrate what he saw while taking slight sips from his flask.

" Did you kill the Grimm and help her? " Yang said with a worried tone.

" She killed it before I could interfere, when she used her aura it was a true spectacle, I haven't seen someone with so much aura as her. I think she was using her semblance because the moment when the Grimm was about to kill her she just closed her hand causing the Grimm to die immediately. " Qrow said with excitement.

" W-What? She defeated a Beowolf just by closing her hand " Yang said wide-eyed at the implication.

" So her aura and semblance are promising, I still wonder what she was doing in the forest," Tai muttered to himself.

" We should ask her when she wakes up for now we should rest, " Qrow said as he let out a sigh.

( A / N hello everyone, I know this chapter was different than the rest but I think a calming chapter is needed after the fight, also I think I will have to rewrite this chapter because I'm having trouble imagining how a character may react when it isn't mine so if you think something is out of character please tell me so I could change it.

Also, I'm leaning toward naming the MC ' Yin ' even if the main love interest isn't Yang but if you think of someone else please write it in the previous chapter.

The next chapter is will be realized on Wednesday
