17 Horror Scene: Something Evil Grows

This was inspired by a scene in the 1981 movie called "The Evil Dead" it's about 25 minutes in where a female character goes through a similar encounter.

And then I asked myself:

What would that feel like to be surrounded by vines, waiting for your life to end? Would you be able to escape such a situation? Would it hurt?

And then further more:

What if they shot up your private part and used you to spawn a demon? What would happen then?

And here we are. Enjoy the cringe fest, my readers...

On a dark and cloudy night, a woman stumbles from a local bar, drunk and tired. Slowly she reaches the edge of the parking lot. There, the borders of the forest follow.

Too dazed and drugged to care or notice what she's doing, the woman enters the foggy entrance to the woods. And the mist swallows her up.

She then continues to stumble onward, straying further and further from the bar and any civilization the town has to offer. Each step causes twigs to crack and leaves to crunch under her barren feet. It appears she lost her shoes somehow that night during a drink, or perhaps something else.

The wind picks up yet somehow the fog stays. It's an eerie feeling, being there in the wilderness barefoot and drunk. The high she once felt just moments ago is replaced with absolute clarity as fear consumes her.

The woman looks around, lost and surrounded by unfamiliar trees bent in odd and disturbing ways. She decides to stop to pull out her phone.

There's no service here, but somehow despite that, she tries to open the gps app. There's no luck. All it shows is nothing, just a barren screen with a red pin. The numbers displaying the latitude and longitude are replaced with some type of code.

"There must be a glitch" she thinks as she turns off her device, saving the battery for later, hoping she'll get near enough to town for service to return.

But deep down, she knows it won't. Deep down, she knows something isn't right in these woods. But the woman continues walking anyways, still not letting go of the fragile bit of hope she has to get out of this mess.

Hours pass. She's getting too tired and sluggish to walk any further. Slowing down, she comes to a stop and lays down to rest. And eventually, ignoring all the unease she has, she falls asleep.

And the woods noticed...

Trees begin to stir. Vines begin to slither. The forest she's unfortunately stumbled into awakens, closing her in. The trees block any path of escape while the vines entangle her body.

But the woman notices the feeling they cause as they tickle her skin. She opens her eyes to the horrors unfolding, and screams. She screams so loud and hard that if not for the supernatural forest, she'd be heard by the whole land. But alas, no screams or sounds penetrate the mysterious barrier of foliage and plants.

The forest has heard her, though, and it tightens the grip of the vines. They encircle her limbs and enter her pores with their roots. What was once was used to climb buildings and trees now borrows into her body, slithering around her bones.

There's no escaping them. The feeling is unimaginable. The pain unbearable. The screams get louder and louder as the woman's skin is covered in green and leaves. But it leaves her alive for some reason, perhaps liking the thoughts flowing through her head as she desperately struggles to no avail.

It doesn't stop growing now as her visible skin moves. It continues to burry itself into her mussels and organs. The roots of the vine can be seen pulsing under the fleshy covers. The pain the woman feels makes her beg for death, but none comes, at least not yet. She has now become the forest's unwilling puppet.

Suddenly, a new root spots forth into the women's vagina, and she flinches as some type of spores are released into her womb. As they make contact with the walls of her uterus and the eggs forming there, they blossom.

The woman feels a new pain now as the seeds stretch her reproductive organ to the point of bursting, but the vines don't allow their new incubator to break so easily. Her womb expands with the forest's unholy child growing inside her, tears streaming down her face as she continues to suffer.

The babies now compete, break the walls of the unfortunate woman's womb. The vines allow it, their purpose done, only meant to keep the woman alive and still while the children grew.Blood and sap mixed together expose as they breath the forest air for the first time.

But the woman, having served her purpose as well, soon dies from the pain and blood loss. Her blood soaks into the soil and dirt beneath her, feeding the supernatural woods. Her corpse is eaten by her spawn, leaving not a single trace or morsel left...
