5 Almost confessed

Sam, while playing football fainted. Everyone around was shocked. Rosie, who was watching Sam from away, immediately ran towards him. The football couch by the time took him up and ran towards the hospital. Other players also went behind him. Rosie was left blank , still trying to understand , what just happened.Lily to ran towards her. Just then Veena came near to hear and gave her a tight slap. The slap was hard. Rosie's chubby cheeks immediately got swollen up.

Lily:"Hey, what was that?

Veena:" This Rosie, she is very smart. So, Rosie you knew that I spiked your water, right? That's the reason you gave it to Sam".

Rosie: " _"

Rosie was not in her senses. She was worried for Sam. After hearing that the water was spiked she started crying. Lily pushed Veena towards the ground.

Lily: " Hey! Are you even a human? How can you do that?

She then just pulled Rosie's hand and took her towards the hospital. Veena then got up, wiped all the dirt from her skirt and went to the class.

- At the hospital -

He was the only kid of Mr Joe and if something would happen to him, Mr Joe would rip off the whole school. So the authorities were really worried. But to the God's grace, the drug was a normal one and the antidote was easily available. So nothing much happened to Sam. By the evening, everyone left. The hospital was left with his parents. Rosie and Lily were standing away . They dare not to come close. After some time Mr Joe went to pay the bills and Mrs Joe went to bring some fruits for Sam, Rosie got a chance to meet him. She was again absolutely nervous as well as guilty. She thought that if she drank that water the Sam would have not faced all this. However Lily pushed her inside to the room where Sam was admitted.

As soon as she saw Sam, she started crying again. Sam woke up.

Sam:" Rosie, you are here?"

Rosie:" Yes . Sam, I am so sorry, it happened all because of me".

Sam: " Hey! your cheeks , they are swollen. And why are you crying? Why are you saying sorry? What happened?. Come here, Rosie. Calm down and tell me everything".

Rosie then told her everything. She just didn't took her name(Veena). After she completed, Sam asked,"Who did this?"

Rosie: "I'll sort this, you don't worry..."

Sam: " Just tell me who did this?....I was lucky enough this time that you didn't drink that water...this can happen again, Rosie, please tell...."

Rosie: " You don't have to worry about it... I'll take care....for now, you take care of yourself..I need to leave.."

Sam immediately hold her hand not letting her go.

Sam:"I like you!".

Rosie blushed and stopped crying.

Rosie:"This is not the time..please Sam. We will talk about it once you are back to school".

Sam:"So you won't cry now, right?"

Rosie:" "

Sam:" Apply medicine to your cheeks. I want them back like how they were".

Rosie:"They are not yours..ok".

Sam: "They will be mine soon...."

He then just pecked on her hands and let her go.When she was about to leave...Sam asked,"Rosie.....you were the one right... who always kept chocolates for me?"

Rosie:"So you still doubt?"

Sam smiled and she went away. She was a bit relaxed now that Sam was fine.

- Outside the hospital -

Lily:"Doctor said he will discharged today and will be back to school tomorrow, nothing much to worry now".

After hearing this Rosie felt more relaxed and then they both went back to their home.
