9 Chapter 11.

*Some days later*

At Elizabeth's home, she's seen talking with her mother, "Mom, I don't think Michael wants to get married to me",

"Why do you think so?",

"Mom, it's obvious, he doesn't even visit, mom I think we should call off the wedding".

"Don't ever say that, I'll make sure you both get married".

"That will be a waste of time", she murmured

"What did you say?"

"Nothing, I have to go".

"Bye then". I left to talk with Michael

*At Michael's office*

I got to the company , that was when I saw Michael and a girl , they were holding hands and she gave him a peck on the cheek, I didn't need anybody to tell me what was happening.

I walked into his office and found her there , they both looked shocked and I liked the look on their faces, then I spoke up

"Hi Michael, I decided to pay a surprise visit so who is she?"

"She's my secretary", said Michael.

"Hi, I'm Elizabeth,"

"Umm, hi, I'm Lucy".

"Take care of yourself, I'll be on my way then".

She just nodded.

*Lucy's POV*

"She's his fiancee?" I asked myself. I knew I should have expected that but I couldn't stop the tears , Michael walked over to me and said

"Everything is gonna be alright, just give me enough time, I promise to set the straight"

"It's alright, I'll be fine. Let's just get back to work". I was visibly not okay but I couldn't help the thought of Michael getting married to another person.

*Elizabeth*

I felt so relieved to know that Michael loves someone else, I have no intention to get married to him and now I know that calling off the wedding wouldn't be hard. I'm tired of doing my parents will, now it's time to do what makes me happy. I was so happy and I decided to go home, my mom noticed my mood and asked, I said nothing about it instead I told her" I found out something beneficial and I won't share it with you" , I said smiling and I ran upstairs .

"What has happened to this girl?" ,my mother asked rhetorically. She walked upstairs and knocked, "If it's about Michael's mysterious girl friend, forget it, you will still get married to him".

I opened the door, I couldn't believe it, how did she know, "Umm, what are you talking about?" I asked her.

"Did you think that i wouldn't know about it ? It was obvious to me".

"Mom, please I don't want to marry Michael, help me just this once".

"I'm afraid I can't, your marriage date has been fixed already, in the next three months , you both are gonna get married and that's final".

I didn't want to ask Dad because it would still be the same answer, so I had to do this on my own.
