17 Am I Dead?

Ryuji checked the bitten area, he was ecstatic. It was gone just like that, it looked like his body overcame the venom in his system. He just narrowly avoided death but at least he still lives another day. He should build his <Disease Resistance> soon. He hugged the quiet blob of liquid. "Pyun-Pyun! You saved me!!" He expressed his gratitude to this blob familiar of his. 'Maybe this is a help from the Divine Realm.' Ryuji thought.

The slime jiggled furiously and made small bounce movements in response to his master's statement. It expressed its happiness that his master no longer felt dying. Pyun-Pyun was also worried that if his master died, he will not be able to learn more skills. He felt his master's aura is powerful and he started to gain intelligence after being tamed by this peculiar goblin. The aura of this goblin is exquisite where he was able to wake his latent sentience and his survival is much higher than his species. Sentience in monsters were rare. Depending on the food pyramid the lower the monster is, the lower its intelligence is.

Evolution was the key to survival in this world for monsters and intelligence was considered power for monsters and creatures. Gaining intelligence for a monster would mean that it would rise into the food chain.

The slime did not learn <Grasp>, <Decoy>, <Whip>, <Aqua Shot>, <Pierce> and <Heal> living as a normal slime before. Its previous duplicates were not able to have these skills. Pyun-pyun felt lucky when his master's aura touched his very existence and that is why he was very attached to this creature. He felt a multitude of concepts like emotions that was unlocked. If his master died now, he would not be able to unlock more skills to survive.

Pyun-Pyun had to share a memory fragment by his predecessor that was unlocked when he gained a bit of intelligence, it was eating poison to gain resistance. This was common for slimes. If he was not tamed, it might remain locked for good as slimes memories from their DNA are forgotten whenever they undergo division.

Ryuji felt dead tired, he had casted a lot of things and made new spells in the process. He should start controlling these spells to prevent this exhaustion. He thought of checking his skills using status, but he should delay it for now. He should rest first. "Pyun, eat the rabivore, we will hunt more tomorrow." He muttered and retired for the night even if the sun were just about to set.

"Huh? What is this place?" Ryuji was baffled. He felt just a few minutes when he shut his eyes. He was in the small cave earlier but now he is some psychedelic space. It was similar back in the divine realm but the space where he is at is on multitude of colors which makes him a bit disoriented. He also noticed that he is in his human form back on earth when he died.

"Yo! Ryuji-san" A greeting caught his attention. He turned around and saw the jackal god again that looked like a stereotypical college jock in casual hoodies and jeans. Beside him were three more figures, A middle aged man, a woman, and a young girl. They all looked normal except for Yubis and his jet-black jackal head.

A man looked foreign and seemed to have Eurasian features. He had a pale skin, black hair which was neatly kept short and has a sturdy built judging how he stood up. His striking frame can be compared to a model of bespoke wear from a magazine. Aside from his pale white complexion which contrasts to his black suit and hair, he looked modern and sleek with an eye catching white inner shirt and black tie and a silver leaf-shaped tie clip. He looked like a respectable but cold business magnate.

The woman beside him was opposite even though they looked like they came from the same race, she had brown hair with flowers looked like a crown to her hair, she had a messy bun, but she looked alluring like a beautiful wildflower. She had vibrant colored A-dress that has prints and embroideries of flowers and vines near the hem line. Her skin was slightly darker than the CEO guy but still fair. Her cheeks had some blush, and her lips were plump. She had an aura of freedom and youth. Her elegant grace is a sharp contrast to the CEO guy beside her which looked like a strict corporate director.

The last person seemed to be a caucasian loli. She wears a an exquisite western european outfit that is a combination of white inner dress and black vest with gold embroideries. At one glance she looked like she came from medival age Europe. She wears a pillbox shaped hat with a combination of gold and black embroidery and carries a typical brown and fluffy rag doll. Her gaze at Ryuji is distant and looked like she is half awake similar to a person who has not had a drop of coffee. Her fair face with noticeable dark circles under her eyes looked like she is sleep deprived. She looked very young and not a care in the world.

"Uhhhhhhh… Am I dead?" Ryuji blurted in confusion. His pupils shrunk realizing his situation. He is scared at the same time because the last time he saw Yubis was when he died. His poor familiar must be shivering right now alone in the cave. He frowned as if he resigned to his fate about dying again.

Yubis panicked seeing Ryuji sulking. He glanced at Hades beside him but met with a sharp cold glare. The former egyptian god shivered. He only gave few 'power ups' that time because the spirit that was latching to this poor guy's soul like a leech. They could not provide additional blessings nor a powerful one because of it being cancelled. Despite the large amount of unknown data and overpowered magic stats, the jackal god just made him a tad bit luckier after the misfortune spirit was removed and gave a minor increase in magic levels, about two levels on lower magic. He just almost never added anything, if he added something, it was not useful. Ryuji's transfer caused a ruckus during to the higher ups which left Yubis tons of paperwork, but he was scolded by his colleagues leaving the guy almost dead today.

Blessing provided by gods during transmigration is suppress such ripple with world barriers but because lack of blessing to use as as protection caused the last world ripple. A ripple in the world barrier can trigger disaster events on both worlds. The last ripple during Ryuji's transmigration had caused a series of minor earthquakes and a volcanic eruption in the Asia Pacific region back on Earth. In Zariya, a massive squall had formed on the eastern seas when transmigrated few decades ago. The God of the Sea in Zariya got shaken with the sudden disaster that time, though no deaths were reported.

A few days ago, Sefie and Hades stormed Yubis about the Ryuji. He got an earful of scolding from the goddess of fertility and harvest because he did not provide the guy any power ups. He initially thought that the guy would be ok with the magic power and did not need more buffs. Morticia also got an earful too. It was his fault was not getting a detailed setup for the clueless guy. He and Morticia really cursed that binbogami for eternity for all this trouble. If it had not been so clingy despite being chased away, they did have gone all the trouble.

Unfortunately for Yubis, Sefie was watching Ryuji for the past few days. From the day she was informed about the world ripple that he caused, she watched the ugly green monster seemed to be timid at first. But it baffled her when she saw how crude the goblin's movements are in hunting. It was worse than the goblins of their world, this guy seemed. She also got about how the goblin unconsciously sent his thoughts to their prayer forum. She was astounded that the goblin only received the free trial magic scroll which is not even the basic tier that they provide in the world. She immediately ranted this to Hades telling him about the inadequate magic spells and Ryuji's poor survival skills.

Sefie and Hades already took Takehiko as their adopted son when he first came in Zariya. For the past two years, their son wished to get Ryuji from Earth. Though they did not know the cause why Takehiko suddenly wished to get his brother in Zariya, they were happy to comply with this simple wish once the man died. Sefie was angry that if Ryuji was killed because of lack of survival skills, how will they face their adopted Takehiko. Thus, they need to meet their son's older brother as soon as possible.
