3 Chapter 3 - I Sure Know A Lot

"What...? It appears that you've answered every question correctly..."

Su Xiao Yue gazed at Li Tian's examination papers in disbelief. 

Li Tian didn't get a single question wrong throughout the two tests that he had handed in.

Although the tests weren't extremely difficult to pass, it was still hard to believe that Li Tian got full marks. This proved Li Tian's fluency in both French and German.

As the person who had written the examination papers, Su Xiao Yue knew how high the standards of these papers were.

"Bring me his personal details."

Su Xiao Yue ordered her assistant.

Moments after she had gone through his details, she appeared to be slightly flustered.

There aren't any issue at all, meaning that if Li Tian passed one more assessment, he would be a part of the Qing Cheng International Group.

It had been a year since she had arrived at the company, but no one had ever been recruited into the company through the normal recruitment pathway.

"Get someone to find out more about his MBA certificate, and inform Qing Qing and Ya Jing to arrange his final assessment."

Su Xiao Yue had made her decision. If this man truly was capable, she wouldn't mind him joining the company in the slightest. However, to date, the Public Relations department had zero male employees.

As he glanced at the two women wearing sexy underwear before him, Li Tian panicked slightly. This is the final assessment? Don't tell me they're testing my self-control.

Chen Ya Jing and Shu Qing Qing gazed at Li Tian, making direct eye-contact with him. Despite wearing sexy underwear, they showed no signs of embarrassment in their expressions, and instead, carried a professional smile on their faces.

"Li Tian, you do know what we do here at Qing Cheng, right?"

Su Xiao Yue questioned from the side of the room, causing Li Tian to stiffen up immediately upon hearing her question.

"Umm... To be honest, I have no clue."

"You..."

Su Xiao Yue didn't expect his answer in the slightest. He came to our company to look for a job, but he's saying that he doesn't know what we do here?

"Let me explain then. We are a fashion company, and for this summer's Milan Fashion Week, we have two products nominated. Although our global ranking isn't at the top, we've achieved the best ranking in the country." 

Su Xiao Yue felt slightly irritated, but she knew she couldn't cause a scene. So, she quietly scorned Li Tian due to his lack of knowledge of the company. It looks like he won't be passing the final stage.

"Oh."

Oh? What kind of response is that?

Su Xiao Yue felt offended by Li Tian's attitude once again. If it weren't for the company's rules, she would have immediately booted Li Tian out the doors.

Doesn't he know what workplace professionalism is?

"The autumn Fashion Week is quickly approaching. This time, we are prepared to deliver a set of lingerie to Milan, however, it hasn't been perfected yet. Your assessment is to choose the correct set of lingerie between these two and.... and also give your suggestions for any modifications." 

Su Xiao Yue said spontaneously. In actuality, applicants weren't usually asked to give suggestions on the clothing for the final assessment, however, she thought, what if he actually picks the correct set? Li Tian was applying for the role of an assistant, if the duty of altering clothes was passed onto assistants of the Public Relations department, then what would fashion designers do for a living?

However, Su Xiao Yue detested Li Tian's attitude, and hence, she came up with a way to make things even more difficult for him.

"Umm... This..."

Li Tian appeared to be hesitant to answer.

He understood that this assessment wasn't easy in the slightest.

"What? You can't do it? Then you leave me no choice but to announce that for this assessment, you have..."

"It's not that I can't do it, I just feel that there are some issues with this assessment. I'm interested in an assistant role, I certainly don't think I am required to know so much about this?"

Li Tian said after a moment of hesitation. Su Xiao Yue glanced at him in a weird manner.

"This is the Qing Cheng International Group. If you don't feel like answering, then I'll have to announce that you have failed the assessment."

Su Xiao Yue said, as she maintained an indifferent expression on her face.

"Okay, I understand. The lingerie set you are sending to the autumn Fashion Week must be the one Qing Qing is wearing, right?"

Li Tian answered confidently.

Everyone in the room was shocked, including Su Xiao Yue.

Upon seeing the employees' expressions, Li Tian understood that he had answered correctly.

"On what basis?"

"It's simple. For this autumn's Fashion Week, Milan had invited a huge Hollywood star to the show. It's also said that she will be one of the judges and based on her usual preferences, she prefers lighter colours. Moreover, she dislikes undergarments that are hooked from behind as they are often uncomfortable to wear and may hinder puberty, especially when the coats are worn in autumn." 

"Besides, the element of exercise has to taken into consideration as well. This type of one-piece lingeries is typically good for exercising, as they don't cause any restrictions to one's movements. Even if the other set of lingerie is made from the latest nanomaterials, Qing Cheng International Group wouldn't send it out to Milan to be judged."

Li Tian gave a detailed explanation and remained unfazed. Shu Qing Qing and Chen Ya Jing were dumbfounded, and Su Xiao Yue was barely able to maintain her indifferent expression. When Li Tian had used jargon to explain his reasoning, she even wondered if he was a designer. Otherwise, it would be impossible...

"You've chosen the correct set lingerie. However, there are still some flaws with this set, do you have any suggestions?"

"To be honest, the design is really good. It covers the skin well, and won't cause the wearer any discomfort. However, the one area of concern I have is the brooch. The size is far too generic. Have you forgotten that Italians love exercising during the autumn? Not only this, but that Hollywood star loves tennis and rugby, she'll know immediately that this set of lingerie will restrict her movements during exercise. I suggest that you substitute the brooch with a longer one, at least twice the length of the current one..."

Including Su Xiao Yue and the two models, everyone else present in the hall was astonished after hearing Li Tian's answers.

You're a man! How do you know so much about female lingerie? Besides, you're applying for the role of an assistant, an assistant in the Public Relations department at that, you aren't meant to know all of this!

Su Xiao Yue was speechless. She knew that Li Tian's answer was correct. In fact, all women would understand that his suggestion would improve the design. 

"Congratulations, you are officially a part of the Qing Cheng International Group. Qing Qing, could the two of you show him the way to the Public Relations department? Also, get the Human Resources department to hand him the contract, I'll head over there now."

After speaking, Su Xiao Yue immediately left the hall and Li Tian had finally become an employee of the Qing Cheng International Group. 

Shu Qing Qing and Chen Ya Jing wore their outercoats before walking towards Li Tian. 

"Li Tian, how did you do that? Did you see how much your answer upset her?"

Chen Ya Jing exclaimed.

Li Tian feigned ignorance and replied, "Oh? How come? I managed to answer all her questions, shouldn't she be happy about this?"

"Happy? Do you know how much your attitude bothered her? I'll let you in on a secret, when she's quiet, it means that she's angry."

"I feel so wronged! I really didn't know what the company does."

"If you didn't know, how did you pass so many stages of the recruitment process? I heard that you graduated from Harvard, tell me truthfully, how knowledgeable are you?"

Li Tian had performed far too well, even Chen Ya Jing wanted to know more about him.

"Hehe, I'm extremely knowledgeable. There's nothing I don't know."

"Stop boasting! Then, what else do you know?"

Chen Ya Jing asked as she rolled her eyes.

Li Tian didn't reply. Instead, he glanced at Chen Ya Jing and Shu Qing Qing for a moment, and said, "I know that the both of you have great figures."
