8 Chapter 8: The Nine Fallen Angels

Sebastian smiled mischievously when he saw Halora took steps backward away from Roy. She quickly snatched her bag from his grip and ran towards the exit.

"So it's you again?" He said that caught Roy's attention. He was about to chase her, say sorry for what he did but, the campus bad boy hindered him for the moment.

Seb walked closer to him. He could still remember his face, his voice, and his stance. "So, what are you doing here, huh?" Seb rubbed his chin upon asking him coldly.

"And why would I answer your question? In the first place, you don't own this entire school and I am not obliged to talk to a bad boy like you!" Roy answered back without a hint of fear.

He walked closer to him until their chest met. Deep stare, heavy breaths, and burning tension made the situation on fire.

Roy is a human and he has nothing to do if the campus bad boy will turn into a beast. Yet, Sebastian remained calm as he has the gut to chuckle loudly.

"Come on! I won't bite you, and if you think I am that bad boy...," he paused and hesitated to continue.

"Halora," Seb murmured her name and watched her ran towards his way. "Why did you come back? You're must be late!" He exclaimed but she ignored him and faced Roy instead.

"I... I've heard that you are the new transferee! Come on, we need to run as fast as we ca–" She stopped upon realizing that Sebastian was standing right behind Roy while closing his fists.

Hermione abruptly looked at him and their eyes met. "Se–Sebastian?"

She held her breath for a couple of minutes until she was pulled over by him. "Shall we?"

"No! She's going with me!" Roy insisted but she knew what to do.

"Alright, then let Halora decide," Seb replied, and he seemed to be so sure.

Halora breathed deeply and looked at them. She bowed, played with her fingers, and said, "Leave me alone, Sebastian! I... I've be--been thinking about this thing while staying at the hospital!"

She was nervous, frightened and she could hear her loud heartbeat. "I don't want to see your face all over again!"

And by that moment, Sebastian was shocked because of her sudden decision. He expected something different, but, instead of getting angry, he gave her a mischievous smile.

"See you around! I know that wimp can't save you!" He told her and winked.

Halora wanted to vanish upon seeing him winking and smiling at her. She wanted to utter a word but Roy meddled in between, "Stay away from her! She doesn't even need an arrogant boy like you!"

But she stopped Roy from hurting Sebastian. She knew him, and Roy will be hurt in the end.

"Can't you see? She is trying to stop you and that means... she knows that you are weak enough to fight with me."

"Just go, Sebastian! Just leave me alone and I don't want to see your face all over again!"

Halora walked away from him with Roy. She was breathing heavily as the tears springing into her eyes. "He's a bad boy, for heaven's sake but why I am feeling this way?"

Roy listened to her silently. He felt a heavy thing on his chest as he watched Halora sobbed silently.

He remained quiet and along the way, Roy saw their teacher in Mathematics coming out from the classroom.

"Hurry up! We're must be late now!" Halora wiped her tears away and pretended that she was fine and okay.

She has to push him away to stop herself from expecting and attaching to the campus bad boy. She chose to stay out of his life to keep a secret that has been hidden for so many years.

However, upon entering the classroom, the group of Sandra stood and holding a basket of over-ripe tomatoes and a tray of eggs.

She smirked at her and said, "Until now, you are still naive and gullible! Do you know that we don't have classes for this morning because all the teachers are busy? Hmm...,"

Roy blinked his eyes and tried to protect Hermione from her. "Stay away from her! And if you will dare to lay your dirty hands on her, I'll set aside the thought that you are a girl too!"

"Don't make me angry, my favorite cousin. You know me and even you can't stop me!"

Halora was surprised to know the truth about Sandra's real relationship with him. She couldn't believe that they know each other since then.

"Yo–you know Sa–Sandra? H–how come?" She stuttered and felt betrayed by him. Halora looked at the young boy who gulped and hesitated to tell her the truth.

Roy wanted to explain but Sandra pushed him away that have made him tumbled to the ground. "Sandra!" He scowled but it was too late to protect her when Sandra began to throw the tomatoes and eggs.

"This is for stealing Seb from me!"

"And this is for poisoning my cousin's mind who chose you over me!" Anger and hatred propelled Sandra to hurt Halora.

She never gets tired of hurting, bullying, and teasing her in front of the crowd. And because Halora was too kind, humble, and down to earth, Sandra and the rest of the people abused her kindness.

"Stop! Please, stop it!" She begged for mercy but Sandra's friends seemed to be deaf as they threw the tomatoes and eggs.

Halora's uniform was filled with tomatoes, and she was bathed with egg whites and egg yolks that scattered throughout the floor.

She then cried silently, looking at the ground. She clenched her fists out of anger and abruptly lifted her head.

"San, look at her eyes! She's too scary!" Lou shouted upon seeing Halora's deep gaze. She hasn't seen it before, "Please, stop it now! S–she's... she's–"

She tried to control the anger she felt yet, the monster inside of her wanted to introduce itself. Her eyes became red, and she lifts her arms that have made the basket floated into the air.

"Wh– what is happening?!"

"Step ba–back! Sh–she's n–not Halora any–anymore!" Garry stumbled and saw how she manipulated the basket of tomatoes.

She closed her fists and swayed them forcibly until the basket crumpled like a piece of paper.

"Halora," Roy called her name but she didn't stop.

Until nine angels have fallen from the ceiling and she suddenly collapsed.
