5 Chapter 5: Trust and Real Motives

It was a full moon, and the sky was too luminous, beautiful to watch. Werewolves gathered in an undercover forest, waiting for the Alpha.

"Where are they?" spoke an old man who stood in the middle of the crowd. "And my grandson?" He added that has made the servant gasped and took a deep breath.

"Greg told me Young Master saw a werewolf came to the hospital owned by your son. He tried to stop him but he was too persistent, My Lord."

The old man shook his head in disbelief. He never thought of such a thing and happened during a full moon. He took a deep breath, "Bring my grandson, unharmed and protected!"

He sighed to release the disappointment he felt. "And tell everyone to wait until they arrive."

"Yes, My Lord!"

The servant quickly moved to find the Young Master. The ritual will start sooner, yet, the Alpha is nowhere to be seen.

The old man looked deeply into the bright, shining moon and murmured, "Don't fail me, this time."

Until the rest of the werewolves turned their heads upon seeing the Young Master, walking coldly with his father on his right side, and Greg, on his left.

"Grandpa," spoke a young boy who bowed his head in front of the old man. "Forgive me for coming late, I just have to settle down some matters before going here tonight."

The old man chuckled as he tapped the young boy's shoulder. He couldn't stop doing it every time he's with him.

"Your teacher told Sarah how you saved that young girl from the bullies. She must be very beautiful and attractive enough to catch your attention, Sebastian?"

He was not certain by his words. He seemed to be stating a fact and asking a question at the same time. He sighed deeply, waiting for his grandson's answer.

However, the young boy looked away from his meaningful stare and started to reminisce about that exact day. The day he met and saved her.

"Somehow, she's in between grandpa! She's not ugly, yet, she believed that it was all true! She's definitely an interesting young girl I've ever seen on the campus,"

There was something in his eyes while he reminisced what had happened a month ago. Sebastian smiled abruptly and looked at his grandpa, "Come on, grandpa! Let us enjoy this night and do not put all the attention on me!"

"He's right, father. This is not the right time for that matter and I guess, we need to start the ritual." spoke a man beside Sebastian.

He was tall, tanned and a good-looking man which looked like Seb. His deep blue eyes, thick, black eyebrows, pointed nose, bow–shaped lips, and a perfect jawline.

"You are right, but...," the old man paused. "Where is your wife, Sarah?"

Sebastian took a deep breath and walked towards his comrades who have been waiting for him. He ignored his grandma and pretended to be occupied.

"She's running our family business, father. And it's a good sign that humans are trusting us enough to be part of their world." Sebastian's father is an Alpha who ruled the entire pack decades ago.

He was powerful, dominant, and a leader who will get whatever he wanted and asked for. He was known for being a cruel werewolf who killed his enemy mercilessly.

"Remember, you are not an Alpha anymore Steve! You upheld your responsibilities to your son in exchange for living an ordinary life like humans." spoke the old man who walked towards Seb.

Stevenson Woo remained standing and watched his father and son from a distance. A short, genuine smile formed on his lips upon seeing them happy together.

For the past few years, their lives were in peace. Living in the world of mortals was one of the toughest and decisions they have made.

And letting Seb entered into a private school, pretending to be a normal campus bad boy without disclosing his real identity to the people.

"My Lord, it's about time," Greg whispered into his ears as he was the only man who was been waiting for.

"Let's go! I have something to do after the ritual and I want you to look after my son!" Steve told him while walking towards the crowd. "I trust you, Greg, and I know you'll keep him safe when he's with you."

"I can assure you that, My Lord. Seb will be safe with me and I'll never fail you." Greg replied and bowed his head to him. With all the respect he has for their family, loyalty was the only thing he can do to repay the goodness they had given to him.

But, how long he will trust Greg to look after his son? What if, he's only wearing a mask to hide his true colors? His true motives to the Woo Family?

Will Steveson uncovers a horrifying truth or it would be too late for him to protect his son from the enemy?
