Chapter Seventy-Five

Sarah POV

I persuaded Ella to drop the gifts when we are done with dinner we will open the gifts, she accepted and we went down for dinner. At the table there are lots of delicious meal there am wondering when my mother cooked all this food. My mother looked at me and understood the look on my face explained to me that she is not the only one that cooked the food that my brother and Ella helped her.

I turned to my best friend, Thank you so much for helping my mother out in the kitchen. Come on Sarah she is also my mother or have you forgotten so there is no need for you to thank me she pointed out to me,I thanked her again and also thanked my brother. We dig in after praying over the food and I must confessed my mother really outdid herself this time around.

Wow this is so delicious thank you mum for the delicious I looked at my mother with that wide smile on my face showing her how grateful I am. That's OK Sarah it's Christmas so I intend to make it the best and no more talking and just enjoy the meal. I heeded to my mother words and ate the food silently until the last piece disappeared.

After we finished our dinner we gathered around the Christmas tree to open our gifts. My brother opened the gift that I got for him while he was opening it he started ranting,Sis what could be inside here the box is small is it a necklace he asked. Why don't you open first to know what is inside and stop asking question I urged him,when he opened it and saw what's inside his mouth hanged open. Sis is this what I think it is? He asked with tear filled eyes.

Yes Josh that's your school fees for next year and Mum you should stop worrying about it OK I told them. My mother hugged me tightly my brother and Ella joined the hug also. I just felt like crying cause at this moment I felt so fulfilled. My gift for my mother gift is our house rent and Ella gift is this particular gown I saw her admired in a shop,she was so happy that I got it for her,my mother is still shedding tears of joy.

I looked at my family and how happy they are I thanked God and my boss for giving me job and I intend keeping that happy smiles on their face. Ella and I went upstairs after exchanging the gifts,immediately we are inside my room Ella patted the bed indicating that I should sit down and gist her what really happened in the party.

I thought you want to open the gifts first I asked her, that can wait I need the gist now opening of the gift can come after. So tell me what happened how did your Boss end up to be the one that brought you back Ella asked while wiggling her eyes brow.
