1 how it all started (6 months before present time)

Ligaya's mother once told her not to be jealous of other people's lives and be contented of who and what you are. Well, she used to think that way but one day an accident occurred that changed her life. It was a nice cozy morning Ligaya's mom made her a breakfast and had a warm talk with her dad as usual. Before going to the university Ligaya's dad told her to go home early so that they can have dinner together.Ligaya just smiled and said "copy sir! "then she left and kissed them goodbye. Ligaya is not from a well of family , they live an ordinary life and her parents are the only family she has, but they never fail to give her all the love in the world. She doesn't have a lot of friends aside from Mae, they are childhood best friends and luckily they go to the same university,they do all things together and never got tired of it. Ligaya and Mae are sophomores at a famous university in Manila

where almost all the Elite's and talented students come. It's a usual tiring day till Ligaya received a call from a number that is not registered on her contacts . Hello ...? she answered the call and listened to what the caller has to say, it was a nurse . she almost fainted after hearing the news that her parents were involved in a car accident. Ligaya immediately run with her head empty, she left all her belongings because at that moment she can't think of anything aside from going to the hospital as soon as she can. Ligaya arrived and went to find them , the nurse at the information desk told her that her mother is still unconscious and her father is in the emergency room. Ligaya waited for the doctor and finally he came but the news that he has broke her heart. " I'm sorry I've done everything I can to save your father but it's too late, he has severe head injury and we cannot control the bleeding anymore. Your father is dead, I'm sorry.. " the doctor said and then left. Ligaya went down on her knees and shouted, ... Lord why!! what did I do to deserve this! bring him back ! and she cried out loud. ,, a nurse went to her and said ... " miss I'm sorry but your mom's attending doctor wants to talk to you, please follow me". Ligaya tried to compose herself because her mom needs her. " I'm sorry but your mother suffered traumatic brain injury which caused her to be in a comatose " the doctor uttered. she was in a complete shock after hearing the news. " what do you mean by that doc?!! my mom is in a coma? ! my dad just died and now your telling me that there is a possibility that my mother would not wake up?!!! what kind of hospital is this?! !? " she was so out of it and almost made a scene. The doctor calmed her and explained everything. she had no choice but to accept the situation and endure the pain all by herself. Ligaya went home to prepare all the things she needed at the hospital, she arrived and Mae is waiting for her, " what happened??!! I was so worried, your classmates gave your things to me and said that you had an emergency and you left in a hurry " Ligaya hugged her and cried her heart out. " I'm lost, I don't know what to do! dad is dead he left us already! and mom is in a coma !! her best friend comforted her and helped her with the things she needed to prepare. Dark days past after her dad's death, Ligaya learned that the accident killed 3 people, her father and a couple inside the other car. The one at fault is the couple driving the other car, but Ligaya felt bad for them as well and chose to forgive them. She had to stop studying to be able to support her mother's hospital bills.
