40 Chapter 40: The Mansion

Samantha’s body was still shaking as she looked back where the two of them fell onto the ground. A large piece of glass now lay there shattered in pieces and she almost blanched at the damage it might have done to Richard’s back.

They stayed in that small corner for what felt like forever. Both clutched onto each other as their minds tried to catch up to the events that were taking place outside of the small circle of protection that was created for each other in one another’s arms.

Samantha’s arms and legs were still shaking and the only way she thought she still stood upright was because of Richard.

The man in question still held a firm grip on her waist. His body, as she felt, was hard and rigid. He was tense due to the noises and actions of what just transpired and Samantha knew her body must have felt the same.
