After saying her goodbyes to Holly and checking in on the other woman at the shelter, both Samantha and Tobias entered his car again and drove off to the apartment complex.

The look of the place from the outside was not too bad, and she quickly became intrigued about the interior of the building.

Having majored in interior design during her university years, and having done her fair share of internships and programs, seeing the inside of a well-constructed building always excited her.

But, to her disappointment—it was a letdown, to say the least.

Once she had met with the apartment owner, Nick, and had been shown the apartment, her hopes had been somewhat dwindled. It was a one-bedroom, one-bathroom deal, small and, despite being newly built, barely looked like any love was put into the interior of the place.
