3 Chapter 2

In class Sarah became best friends with Jacob and it reminds me of when we first met. After class we all walked to Ms. Clare's class and we were laughing at Jacob's joke.

"What do you call a jock that wears a thong?" Jacob asks.

"What?" Sarah asks.

"A jock string." Jacob says and we laugh.

Both Sarah and myself have seen some jocks were thongs as punishment for loosing a bet. And one time she switched out their boxers for things as a joke.

At the end of school Sarah and I walk back to her house.

"So you think he is hot?" Sarah asks.

"Who?"

"Jacob." Sarah says.

"He is hot, but you know I am saving myself for my other half."

"How do you know it is not him?" Sarah asks.

"I just know it's not him and it is refreshing to not have a guy use cheesy pick up lines near me."

"True, but it would of been fun to get back for those cheesy pick up lines." Sarah says.

A week later

Me, Sarah, and Jacob are best friends and we have been spending a lot of time hanging out with him not just for school, but also as friends. I got to say he is one of the most funniest guys I have met. Like yesterday he was telling us his pranks he would pull on his brother when he was younger which made me and Sarah have milkshake in our nose trying not to laugh. Now Sarah is getting up by herself in the morning just to see Jacob. I think she likes him and that is why she ended things with Jake.

At school

I ran to gym almost falling, well I would have if Mr. Popular did not catch me. He looks into my eyes and it was like I was in a different world until Jacky aka Mrs. Popular came up and kissed his cheek. After that I just ran away and was almost late for PE.

"Class we are doing laps today around the football field." Mr. Medfield says.

I started to run and then Jacob ran next to me.

"Hey besty." Jacob says.

I jumped and kinda screamed.

"Jacob can you not scare me like that, please."

"I am sorry Luna." Jacob says hugging me.

"Are you okay." Jacob asks after he lets me go.

"Yes. By the way where were you this morning?"

"I had to talk to my dad and my brother." Jacob says.

"Oh. How did it go?"

We started to walk instead of run.

"It was okay. I expect it to happen since he is older." Jacob says.

"That he gets the heiratence?"

"Well yes and no. Let's just change the subject, okay?" Jacob say.

"Jacob." Mr. Popular says.

Jacob looks at him and walks over to him.

I finish my two laps before he comes back looking angry.

He walks off to the gym and I chase after him.

"Jacob stop!"

He stops and looks at me.

"Jacob are you okay?"

"Luna I can not talk right now." Jacob says.

"Jacob.."

"I am okay. I have to go." Jacob says.

And it has been like that the rest of the school day. So I walked up to Jacob's place since we have a project due tomorrow and to figure out what was wrong.

I knocked and Jacob answered letting me in.

"Jacob is everything okay?"

"Yes, I just had to do somethings for my dad." Jacob says.

Then Mr. Popular walks into the front room and growls changing into an wolf.

"WTAF!"

He lunges at Jacob and then he changes too.

WTF?

His dad grabs me to safety and whistles making them stop.

"SHIFT NOW!" Jacob's dad says in a very athority way.

The black one growls loudly Then a woman come in and brings me to a different room. After a while I walk around trying to find Jacob and instead I over hear the conversation.

"I told you to stay away from My Mate!" The voice is Mr. Popular.

"And I told you she is my best friend and nothing more!" That voice is Jacob.

"Both of you stop. Now she knows about our kind. Anthony if she is....." That voice is Jacob's dad.

"IF, SHE IS MY MATE AND WILL BE THE LUNA!" I am guessing Anthony is Mr. Popular says.

"Boy do not interrupt me. And like I was saying, if she is your mate why does she not have your mark and why are you still with Jacky?" Mr John says.

"Because I only found out this afternoon and Jacky is not accepting that I found my mate." Anthony says.

"Oh, who let the stray in?" Jacky says.

I did not even noticed her while listening to the conversation in the other room.

Then the door opens and standing right in front of me is Anthony. He growls and his eyes turn a dark gold.

"Respect your Luna, pup!" I see Anthony's mouth move, but it did not sound like him.

"She Luna? Very funny Babe." Jacky says.

In a heartbeat she is pinned against the wall and Jacob and Mr. John is prying him away from her.

The woman from earlier walks up to me.

"He needs you. Do not be afraid, he will not hurt you." She says.

"But what am I supposed to do?"

"Just be next to him. Your presence will calm his wolf." She says.

I walk up to him and he stops growling. Then in a swift movement I am in his arms with him breathing on my neck.

"Mine!" Anthony says.

I do not know how to respond so I just hug him.When he lets go of me everyone is gone.

"Come with me, please." Anthony says.

I do not want to upset him so I follow him.

He brings me to a room that has black walls and blue furniture.

"Please sit. We have to talk." Anthony says.

I sit down on the couch. And he sits in front of me on the table.

"So how much did you hear of the conversation that my dad, my brother, and myself were having?" Anthony asks.

"That you are my other half and you are jealous of my friendship with..... Wait a second, you are Jacob's brother ?"

"Yes, but we do not have the same mother." Anthony says.

"Oh."

"So you heard everything that was important." Anthony says.

"I do not understand."

"About what?" Anthony asks.

"Why fate chosed you as my other half. Look at me I am not popular, or sexy, or anything Jacky has and is. Wait is it true you and Jacky..?"

"Yes we dated." Anthony says.

"I know that, but did you and her... you know?"

He laughs a bit then looks at me.

"You can not even say sex can you?" Anthony says.

I got up, but he grabs my hand stopping me from leaving.

"Please sit." Anthony says.

I sit back down.

"Yes we did have sex." Anthony says.

At that moment I wanted to scream and fight and run away all at the same time, but in reality I started to cry and I ran away. I ran until I bumped into Jacob. He looks at me and then at Anthony was was running after me.

"Are you okay Luna?" Jacob asks.

"Let go of my mate!" Anthony says.

"What did you do to make my best friend cry?" Jacob yells.

He pulls me behind him and Anthony looks at me whimpering.

"What is happening in here?" Mr. John asks.

"He hurt Luna!" Jacob yells pointing at Anthony.

"I did not mean to hurt her. It's not my fault that I shifted late and found out Jacky is not my mate." Anthony says making me cry more.

"Lu..." Anthony says.

"Just leave her alone!" Jacob says.

"Everyone shut up."

Wait did I just say that out loud? I looked at everyone and they all looked shocked.

"Thank you Jacob, but this will not solve anything."

"As for you Anthony I can not believe this. I have saved myself for my other half to find out he is a total ass. I want nothing to do with you. Jacob can you please bring me home?"

Jacob nods and I walk out of the door still wanting to cry. Why is Fate so cruel to pair me up with a guy who does not even want to be with me in the beginning?
