7 You Must Be Exhausted

They reached a villa neighborhood at the suburbs. Yi Qianya parked her car by the road and got down from the car with Ning Youyou.

Ning Youyou soon saw a familiar figure standing at the door of her house as soon as she walked to the roadside. She recognized who it was. Then, she handed the luggage in her hand to Yi Qianya and rushed toward that person excitedly.

"Mom!"

The middle-aged woman heard her voice and turned around. She broke into a smile when she saw Ning Youyou. Then, she turned back into her house quickly as she seemed to remember something else. From afar, Ning Youyou heard her voice.

"Darling, come out faster. Youyou's back."

A middle-aged man came out of the house when he heard her voice.

"Dad, Mom... I've missed you so much!" Ning Youyou said. Then, she threw herself at them.

Although Papa Ning appeared serious when he saw her daughter, he still could not hide the fact that he was indeed quite delighted by his daughter's return.

"Didn't you tell me that you'll be back yesterday? Now only you're back. Your mom was worried about you the whole night and she could not even sleep well. She said that she wanted to stroll around the neighborhood to see whether she could meet you outside."

Ning Youyou looked at her mother then forward and gave her a big hug. "Beauty Yun Xiu, did you miss me?"

"Yes, I've missed you!" Yun Xiu said and she could not help but wipe away her tears.

Ning Youyou saw that and started to coax her mother immediately. "Mom, I'm graduated now and come back to you. I'll never leave you from now on. I'll work hard and let you enjoy a better life."

"Good. You're a thoughtful girl." Yun Xiu nodded her head and broke into a smile.

"Papa Ning, Mama Ning!" Yi Qianya was standing beside them all the time. Now, she greeted them softly. When they turned to look at her, Yi Qianya started to explain to them. "Youyou was with me yesterday. We haven't met each other for so long and we enjoyed a good time together. That was why we forgot ourselves until we didn't make it back on time. I'm so sorry."

They were relieved when they heard that. It was because the Yi family was a good and wealthy family. They did not worry much if Yi Qianya was being with their daughter.

Papa Ning recovered his senses first. He retreated and greeted Yi Qianya. Then, he showed her into the house.

Yi Qianya had a meal with them. Before she left, she reminded Youyou that they had to meet again next time.

"Youyou, don't forget that you've promised me to have a meal with my brother and me someday." 

It reminded Ning Youyou of Yi Beichen. "Sure."

Ning Youyou lay down on the sofa after Yi Qianya had left.

"Youyou, are you sick? Why is your face so pale?" Yun Xiu was cleaning up in the kitchen. She found her daughter in that state when she came out of the kitchen.

"Mom, I'm fine. I'm just tired. I need to go to my room and sleep now. Wake me later." Ning Youyou frowned. Period pain always engulfed her on the first day of her menstruation. It was rather excruciating for her.

"Mom, I'll go and take a rest now."

Ning Youyou got up and returned to her room. Yun Xiu was still standing there with a stunned facial expression after her daughter closed the door in front of her.

"Darling, what's wrong with our daughter? I feel that something's wrong somewhere."

"Nothing's wrong. She must be exhausted given that she had a long flight and she even played all night with Yi Qianya. Surely, she is tired. But you as her mother should really do something about it. Why don't you go to the market and buy some chicken? Thus, you can brew soup to energize her body." Ning Zuoliang was sitting on the sofa and reading the newspapers. He glanced at Yun Xiu. Then, he turned back to his newspapers again.

"Yes, sure. I'll go now. I'll ask our neighbor, Aunt Zhang to go with me." Yun Xiu nodded her head. She then went and took her purse before heading out.
