19 Meeting Again So Soon

The next day, Ning Youyou was still sleeping soundly when she heard her mother's voice.

"Youyou, wake up now. Didn't you tell me yesterday that you need to go to work early today as there's something important going on? It's eight-thirty in the morning now. You'll be late if you don't wake up now."

She was still in dreamland but woke up with a start when she heard that.

"Oh, is it eight-thirty now?"

"Yes!" Yun Xiu pointed at the little clock by the bed.

Ning Youyou turned around and glanced at the clock which she had prepared earlier so that she would not be late that day. Now, she realized that it was eight-thirty in the morning now.

"Oh my goodness!"

She staggered down the bed and changed into her clothes quickly. After washing up, she grabbed her bag and rushed out of the house.

"Youyou, aren't you going to have your breakfast?"

"Mom, I'm not going to eat. I'm going to be late now. There's something important today."

"Youyou... that..."

"Mom, stop talking. I know. I'll be back earlier today." Ning Youyou waved goodbye to her mother who stood at the door.

Yun Xiu looked at her daughter as she disappeared from her sight. Then, she closed the door and smiled mischievously before heading back to the dining table.

Ning Zuoliang was coming down the stairs and saw her facial expression. He could not help but frown. "What's with that sly smile?"

Yun Xiu raised her eyebrow as she had started eating her breakfast. "I saw how nervous Youyou was yesterday. There must be something quite important for her today. So, I set her clock an hour ahead."

"An hour?"

Ning Zuoliang could not help but frown when he heard that.

Ning Youyou had a smooth ride to the company. She was still surprised why there was no traffic jam on her way there. She paid the bill and went into the office. But, it shocked her when she saw that there was nobody in the lobby of the company.

Was she late?

She got nervous immediately when she thought of that. So, she rushed toward the lift and got into it. She pressed the button and started praying in her heart, that the manager would not scold her for being late.

All of a sudden, somebody stretched his hand out and stopped the door of the lift from closing.

The door opened again and a figure came into the lift.

Subconsciously, Ning Youyou moved aside.

The man went into the lift and pressed the button. He then put his long and slender fingers in his pocket lazily.

Ning Youyou looked at the man before him. She was stunned. That man seemed so powerful and strong. She could not help but retreat a few steps because of his cold and dark aura. Moreover, that man was quite tall. She was always confident about her own height as she was 1.68 meters tall. But, she seemed so small and weak just by standing beside him.

He?

Was he one of the employees of BLOVE?

Ning Youyou was puzzled. Although there were around a hundred employees in the company and she was merely a new employee, she had met almost all of the other employees while working there. She did not know their names but she was sure that there wasn't a man like him in the company. Since that man appeared to be quite stunning, it was impossible that she had not seen him before. 

Furthermore, she felt that he looked quite familiar to her just like she had met him somewhere before. But, it was not possible when she thought about it carefully.

She shook her head gently and abandoned that weird feeling. She stood up straighter and acted like nothing weird had happened

However, he soon realized that she was stealing glances at him. In fact, Mu Shaoqing planned to go to the company earlier for the spot check. At last, he met somebody who was even earlier than him. It was beyond his expectation. That person who was earlier than him was that little kitten. He never thought that he would meet her again so soon. 

He smiled gently. Suddenly, the lift stopped moving.

Ning Youyou nearly fell down because of the sudden movement. She managed to stand properly by grabbing onto the edge of the lift.

She glanced at the lift and it showed that they were on the fifteenth floor but their office was on the eighteenth floor. She could not help frown. Now, the lift stopped on the fifteenth floor. Why did the door of the lift remain shut when it stopped on the fifteenth floor?

When she was puzzled, the lift shook suddenly and plunged downward.

"Ah!" She screamed loudly as she was scared. She could not even stand properly and all she got now was the man who stood beside her.

So, she did not think about its consequences and grabbed his arm tightly.
