Everybody Goes into Action

The morning sunshine shone through a corner of the pink curtain and it sneaked into the room. The warm sunlight shone on the clean and tidy single bed.

The person who was sleeping on the bed turned around lazily. Her fair skin became even fairer under the bright sunlight. Her silk quilt had long disappeared.

"Youyou, are you up? It is seven-thirty now." A sound came from downstairs.

The person who was sleeping on the bed did not wake up. She was smiling and it seemed like she was having a good dream.

After a few minutes, the person downstairs went upstairs when she did not receive any response from her.

Yun Xiu saw that her daughter was sleeping soundly on the bed. She had even kicked off the quilt from the bed. Yun Xiu shook her head helplessly and bent down to pick up the quilt.

"Youyou, it's eight in the morning now. Do you still want to get to work?"

"Mom, I only need to clock in at nine. Let me sleep some more." Ning Youyou replied lazily. She grabbed the quilt tightly just like an octopus. Then, she went on sleeping.

Yun Xiu glanced at her daughter and sighed softly. "Fine, don't wake up. But, did you forget that today is Monday? Your company always holds a morning meeting and you need to clock in at eight-thirty."

After that, Yun Xiu turned away but the person who was sleeping soundly on the bed got up suddenly. She said anxiously, "Mom, what did you say? What time is it now?"

Yun Xiu turned around and looked at her nervous daughter. She then smiled innocently, "It's eight in the morning now."

"Eight in the morning!"

Then, Ning Youyou jumped out of bed nervously. She used the fastest speed to change her clothes and went to brush her teeth and wash her face. After that, she gobbled up her breakfast at the dining table.

Yun Xiu was worried when she saw her daughter's anxiety. She said, "Youyou, don't be in a rush. Eat slowly."

Ning Youyou grabbed her bag and left after gobbled up a few bites of the breakfast.

"Mom, I'm heading out now."

Yun Xiu saw her to the door and waved her goodbye. "Youyou, I'll brew a soup for you tonight!"

"Sure!"

Ning Youyou came to the road and hailed a taxi to rush to the company. She kept looking at the time on her phone on her way to the company. It was a quarter past eight. If there was no traffic jam on the road, she would still be able to clock in on time.

It was Monday and there would be a morning meeting. So, every employee should clock in at eight-thirty in the morning.

Her job now was a translator for BLOVE. She needed to be present when the leaders went out for work or when they were receiving foreign guests. She performed exceptionally and she received their approval during her interview. Thus, she successfully became a part of BLOVE.

Being able to become a part of Zhou Feng Enterprise by working for BLOVE was always her dream.

She needed to work diligently for the salary of twenty thousand yuan per month and the welfare of her parents. 

She found that she was not late when she reached the company. There were still around two to three minutes before 8.30 and she hurriedly clocked it.

However, the morning meeting was replaced by a big clean-up and everyone was involved.

The reason being the higher-ups of Zhou Feng Enterprise would come for a spot check the following day. So, they needed to clean up every corner of the company.

"You need to clean up every corner including the place under and around the desks. It should be sparkling clean without any dust, do you understand?

"You cannot have any personal items on your desk."

"Yes." Everybody replied in unison while they were receiving the manager's strict order.
